Gauss-Project

The Gauss-Project is an inter-disciplinary engineering project of an electric motorcycle, which was initiated by Professor Bauer from the Department of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology.Contact: [email protected]

The goal of the project is to develop an innovative and competitive electric motorcycle for racing in accordance to the Formula Student design rules for electric vehicles as basis for various student and research projects.

Permanent-magnet transversal flux synchronous motor with 40 kW (rated) / 60 kW (peak) power.

LiFePo battery consisting of 550 individual battery cells placed in 11 individually shaped modulesgive a total energy of 4,2 kWh and a system voltage of 360 V.
