Advertencias de seguridadAntes de poner en marcha el mando a distancia, le rogamos que lea atentamente estas instrucciones. Mantenga las instrucciones siempre bien guardadas para volver a leerlas o para entregárselas a terceros.

Aspectos generales

No intente reparar el mando a distancia Usted mismo.El mando a distancia universal dispone de un diodo de infrarrojos de la clase láser 1. El aparato está equipado con un sistemade seguridad que impide la salida de los peligrosos rayos láser durante su uso normal.. Para evitar lesiones en los ojos, no manipule o dañe nunca el sistema de seguridad del aparato.No exponga el mando a distancia al polvo, luz solar intensa, humedad, altas temperaturas o sacudidas fuertes.

Indicaciones referentes a las pilas

Mantenga las pilas alejadas de los niños. Si alguien se tragara una pila, acuda inmediatamente a un médico. Antes de colocar las pilas compruebe si los contactos del aparato y de las pilas están limpios; si es necesario, límpielos.Coloque siempre pilas nuevas. No utilice jamás pilas nuevas y gastadas a la vez.No mezcle los tipos de pila.Al colocar la pila tenga en cuenta su polaridad (+/–).¡ATENCIÓN! ¡En caso de un cambio no adecuado de las pilas existe peligro de explosión! Sustituya las pilas solamente por pilas del mismo tipo o uno equivalente.No intente jamás recargar las pilas. ¡Existe peligro de explosión!Guarde las pilas en un lugar fresco y seco. El calor fuerte y directo puede dañar las pilas. Por ello, nunca exponga el aparato a fuentes de calor.No ponga las pilas en cortocircuito.No tire nunca las pilas al fuego.Si no va a utilizar el aparato durante mucho tiempo, extraiga las pilas.Retire inmediatamente del aparato las pilas que derramen líquido. Limpie los contactos antes de introducir pilas nuevas. ¡Existe peligro de causticación por el ácido de las pilas!Retire también las pilas gastadas del aparato.

Limpieza

Limpie el aparato con un paño seco sin pelusas o ligeramente húmedo. No utilice productos de limpieza corrosivos o agresivos.

EAplicacionesEste mando a distancia universal dispone de ocho teclas de fuente y así puede sustituir hasta ocho mandos a distancia normales (“Función 8-en-1“). Estos pueden ser mandos a distancia para prácticamente todo tipo de electrodomésticos recreativos telecontrolados (véase también la lista de códigos suministrada).

Las indicaciones “TV“, “VCR“, “DVD“, “CD“, “ASAT“, “CBL“, “AUX“, “DSAT“ en las teclas de fuente sirven para una fácil orientación. Con la excepción de la tecla TV se puede ocupar cada tecla con cualquier aparato (“Modo Flex”). Para la programación de los códigos véase “Programar códigos de aparato” en la página 13.

Puesta en funcionamiento

Colocación de las pilas

Se necesitan 2 pilas micro LR03 “AAA“. Recomendamos pilas alcalinas por su más larga duración.

Retire la tapa del compartimento de las pilas, desplazándola hacia abajo. Coloque las dos pilas en el compartimento, teniendo en cuenta su respectiva polaridad +/-.Vuelva a colocar la tapa.

Ajustes después del cambio de las pilas

Si las pilas están colocadas correctamente, la pantalla se conectará mostrando el ajuste de fábrica. Muestra el modo activo (“TV”), el día de la semana y la hora.

Para ajustar la hora y la fecha rogamos que lea “Ajustar la hora y la fecha” en la página 9.

Después de una nueva colocación de las pilas se restablecen el modo, la hora, la fecha y el tiempo de la retroiluminación al ajuste de fábrica.

No obstante los códigos ya programados así como las funciones de aprendizaje y macros programadas permanecerán inalteradas después de un cambio de las pilas.

Protección contra una descarga accidental de las pilas

Si una tecla quedase pulsada accidentalmente (p.ej., porque un objeto se encuentra sobre el mando a distancia) el mando a distancia emite 255 señales infrarrojas (corresponde a aprox. 30 segundos), y entonces la transmisión se detiene. Esto evita que las pilas se descarguen innecesariamente.

Resumen

Indicaciones estándar en la pantalla

Pantalla básica – Hora En la pantalla básica aparece:

en la primera línea el modo activo (tipo de aparato) en la segunda línea el día de la semana y la hora.

FechaDespués de haber pulsado brevemente la tecla S (Setup) 1 aparece:

en la primera línea el símbolo para la función SHIFT activada2 (S);en la segunda línea la fecha.

Para ajustar la hora y la fecha rogamos que lea “Ajustar la hora y la fecha” en la página 9.

Seleccionar el modo o el aparatoCon una tecla de fuente se selecciona el modo o el aparato que ha sido programado en esta tecla de fuente. En la pantalla aparece:

En la primera línea la indicación de la tecla de fuente correspondiente; en la segunda línea el código programado de este aparato.

Para programar los códigos de aparato, rogamos que lea “Programar códigos de aparato” en la página 13.

1. Pulsando durante más tiempo la tecla S (Setup) el menú SETUP se abre con el primer menú CODE SETUP (véase el siguiente capítulo).

2. Se pueden ocupar la mayoría de las teclas con dos funciones (véase página 19). Se accede a la segunda función, activando primero la función SHIFT.

ENavegar por los menúsPara abrir el menú Setup mantenga pulsada la tecla S (Setup) hasta que en la pantalla aparezca la entrada CODE SETUP con el apéndice “SET“ .Si en la pantalla aparece CODE SETUP , pulse la tecla S (Setup) repetidas veces para acceder a los demás menús: CODE SETUP > SYSTEM SETUP > TIMER SETUP > LEARN SETUP > MACRO SETUP > EXIT SETUP.Para abrir un menú, pulse OK. Para seleccionar uno de los submenús, pulse las teclas de dirección .

Para abandonar el menú Setup pulse la tecla EXIT y confirme la pantalla EXIT SETUP con OK.

Interrumpir el proceso

Si desea interrumpir un proceso, espere aprox. 30 segundos. El menú Setup se cierra automáticamente y aparecerá brevemente la indicación TIMEOUT.

Ajustar la hora y la fecha En la pantalla inicial aparecerá en la línea inferior el día de la semana y la hora.

Al pulsar brevemente la tecla S (Setup) aparecerá en la línea inferior la fecha durante aprox. 30 segundos.

Ajustar la hora

1. Mantenga pulsada la tecla S (Setup) durante aprox. 3 segundos hasta que aparezca la indicación CODE SETUP .

2. Pulse S otra vez para acceder alSYSTEM SETUP .

3. Confírmelo con OK. Aparecerá VOL/MUTE SETUP.1

4. Seleccione con las teclas de dirección el TIME SETUP y confirme con OK.

5. El modo de tiempo actual parpadea. Seleccione con las teclas de dirección el modo de tiempo (12 o 24 HR ) y confirme con OK (véase al final del párrafo).

6. El indicador de las horas parpadea. Seleccione con las teclas de dirección las horas y confirme con OK.

7. Los minutos parpadearán. Seleccione con las teclas de dirección los minutos y confirme con OK.

8. Aparece el mensaje de confirmación SUCCESS; la pantalla vuelve alCODE SETUP.

En caso de que se seleccione el modo de tiempo 12 HR, el tiempo se indica con los anexos AM o PM.

EAjuste de la fecha

1. Acceda tal como se indica en “ajustar la hora” al SYSTEM SETUP.

2. Confírmelo con OK. Aparecerá el VOL/MUTE SETUP.3. Seleccione con la tecla de

dirección (dos veces) el DATE SETUP y confirme con OK.

4. El año parpadeará. Seleccione con las teclas de dirección

el año y confirme con OK.

5. El mes parpadeará. Seleccione con las teclas de dirección

el mes y confirme con OK.

6. El día (“DATE“) parpadeará. Seleccione con las teclas de dirección el día y confirme con OK.

7. El día de la semana “(“DAY“) parpadeará. Seleccione con las teclas de dirección el día de la semana y confirme con OK.

8. Aparecerá el mensaje de confirmación SUCCESS; la pantalla vuelve al CODE SETUP.

RetroiluminaciónCon cada pulsación de tecla se conectará la retroiluminación de la pantalla. En el ajuste de fábrica la iluminación permanecerá durante 10 segundos. Se puede desconectar la retroiluminación o prolongarla hasta a 60 segundos.

Rogamos que observe que la retroiluminación necesita un rendimiento de pilas adicional.



3. Confírmelo con OK. Aparecerá VOL/MUTE SETUP.

4. Seleccione con la tecla de dirección (tres veces) el BACKLIGHT SETUP y confirme con OK.

5. El tiempo actual ajustado parpadea (10 segundos en el ajuste de fábrica). Seleccione con las teclas de dirección

el periodo deseado en pasos de cinco segundos. Para desconectar la retroiluminación seleccione “00“ segundos. Confírmelo con OK.

6. Aparece el mensaje de confirmación SUCCESS; la pantalla vuelve al CODE SETUP.

ERESET – Ajustes de fábricaCon un Reset se restauran los ajustes del aparato a los ajustes de fábrica. Los códigos programados, funciones de aprendizaje y macros ya programados se borrarán.



3. Confírmelo con OK. Aparecerá VOL/MUTE SETUP.

4. Seleccione con la tecla de dirección (cuatro veces) el SYSTEM RESET y confirme con OK.

5. Aparecerá el aviso CONFIRM

RESET. Confirme con OK., para realizar el Reset.

6. Mientras vuelven a restaurarse los ajustes de fábrica, en la pantalla aparece PLEASE WAIT

.

Programar códigos de aparato Para cada aparato que desea controlar con el mando a distancia universal, debe programar un código de cuatro dígitos en una tecla de selección (TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT) . Las indicaciones de las teclas solamente sirven como ayuda para recordarlas. Con la excepción de la tecla TV se puede ocupar cada tecla con cualquier aparato (“Modo Flex”).

La tecla de fuente TV sólo puede ser ocupada con códigos de aparato de TV.

Tipos de aparatos y grupos de códigos

Al programar los códigos se pueden elegir entre los siguientes tipo de aparatos:

TV: televisor, proyector, plasma, LCD;

VCR: Grabadora de vídeo;

LD: reproductor de discos láser;

DVD: reproductor DVD;

DVR: grabadora de vídeo digital;

HDD: Unidad de grabación en disco duro (“Hard disc drive“)

SAT: Receptor de satélite (analógico, digital);

CABLE: Receptor de TV por cable; descodificador de canales de pago

DVBT: Receptor DVB-T;

STB: Set-Top-Box;

AUDIO: Aparato de audio;

AMP: Amplificador (“Amplifier“);

RECR: Receptor (radio combinado con amplificador);

HEIMK: Cine en casa;

MP3: Reproductor MP3;

CD: Reproductor CD;

TAPE: Reproductor de cassettes;

TUNER: Radio;

PHONO: Tocadiscos.

Asignación a los grupos de códigosCada tipo de aparato está asignado a un grupo de códigos de aparatos. Si selecciona un tipo de aparato, se buscará un código de aparato en el grupo de códigos adecuados. Los tipos deaparato están administrados de la siguiente manera:

Su mando a distancia universal ha sido preprogramado con algunos códigos de aparatos de la marca Tevion y se lo puede usar en las funciones más importantes sin programación para algunos aparatos Tevion.

EPosibilidades de programación

Los siguientes apartados describen los diferentes métodos para encontrar un código de aparato:

mediante selección de un código para un tipo de aparato determinado a través de la pantalla,según la lista de códigos suministrada, a través de una búsqueda, por su nombre comercial.

En caso de aparatos combinados (p.ej., televisor con grabadora de vídeo, televisor con reproductor DVD, reproductor de DVD y de vídeo) frecuentemente es necesario ocupar dos teclas de fuente con el código correspondiente para las dos partes del aparato (p.ej., la tecla de fuente TV para las funciones TV y otra tecla de fuente para las funciones VCR o DVD). No obstante, existen también aparatos combinados con sólo un código para ambas partes del aparato (véase también “Controlar aparatos combinados” en la página 20).

Acceder al modo de programación

Para acceder al modo de programación, mantenga pulsada la tecla S (Setup) hasta que aparezcan la indicación CODE SETUP y la entrada “SET“.

Seleccionar el código del aparato a través de la pantalla

1. Conecte el aparato que desea controlar. 2. Mantenga pulsada la tecla

S (Setup) durante aprox. 3 segundos hasta que aparezca la indicación CODE SETUP .

3. Pulse OK. Aparece el menú LIST CODES.

4. Pulse OK. Aparece la indicación MODE KEY.

5. Pulse la tecla de fuente deseada (TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT). Aparece la indicación DEVICE? TV.

6. Seleccione con las teclas de dirección el tipo de aparato que desea programar en esta tecla de fuente. (Al seleccionar “TV“ no es posible seleccionar ningún tipo de aparato porque en la tecla de fuente TV solamente se pueden programar códigos de TV.)

Para ello observe la lista y la tabla en la página 13.

7. Pulse OK. Aparece la indicación PLEASE WAIT.Los códigos del grupo de aparatos que contiene el tipo de aparato anteriormente seleccionado, ahora serán leídos en el orden de sus nombres comerciales (véase también la lista de códigos suministrada). Aparecerá la primera entrada alfabética con el primero código.

8. Seleccione con las teclas de dirección el nombre comercial de su aparato. Aparecerá el primer código.

9. A continuación seleccione con las teclas de dirección un código de aparato de este nombre comercial.

10. Ahora compruebe el mando a distancia universal en su aparato. Para ello utilice (según el tipo de aparato) las teclas POWER , 0 – 9, VOL, PROG, AV, función sin sonido , la tecla de teletexto así como las seis teclas de reproducción. En caso de que el aparato no funcione como debería, seleccione otro código.

11. En cuanto haya encontrado un código de aparato adecuado, pulse OK para memorizar este código. Aparecerá la indicación PLEASE WAIT , seguida del mensaje de confirmación SUCCESS.

Ahora el mando a distancia conmuta al funcionamiento normal.

Introducir el código de aparato de la lista de códigos

Los códigos de los aparatos correspondientes están listados en la lista de códigos adjunta a estas instrucciones de funcionamiento.



3. Pulse OK. Primero aparecerá la indicación LIST CODES.

4. Seleccione con la tecla de dirección el menú ENTER

E6. Pulse la tecla de fuente deseada (TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT). La denominación de la tecla de fuente aparecerá en la pantalla con el código actual ajustado.

7. Seleccione con las teclas numéricas el código deseado de la lista de códigos. Tras la introducción de la cuarta cifra aparecerá el mensaje de confirmación SUCCESS.


Si se ha introducido un código incorrecto aparecerá el aviso de error correspondiente CODE

ERROR. – El mando a distancia universal volverá al funcionamiento normal.

Búsqueda manual de códigos

Con la búsqueda manual se pueden encontrar todos los códigos de un aparato, pero también aquellos que no están en la lista de códigos.




4. Seleccione con la tecla de dirección (dos veces) el menú SEARCH CODES.

5. Pulse OK. Aparecerá la indicación MODE KEY.

6. Pulse la tecla de fuente deseada (TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT). Aparecerá la indicación DEVICE TV.



8. Pulse OK. Aparecerá la indicación SEARCH KEY.

9. Ahora realice el test de funcionamiento pulsando repetidas veces (hasta 350 veces) las teclas PROG+, o PLAY (solamente en caso de grabadoras de vídeo), hasta que el aparato cambie de canal, se desconecte o reaccione de forma correspondiente. – La búsqueda de código se inicia en el código memorizado actualmente. Durante la búsqueda aparecerá la entrada SEARCHING (junto con el tipo de aparato seleccionado) en la pantalla. – En caso de que se haya saltado el código, podrá volver paso a paso con la tecla PROG– .

10. Si al pulsar la tecla el aparato reacciona de forma correspondiente, pulse OK para memorizar este código. Aparecerá el mensaje de confirmación SUCCESS.


En cuanto todos los códigos del tipo de aparato anteriormente seleccionado hayan sido seleccionados, aparecerá la indicación SEARCH END.

Búsqueda de códigos por marcas

Esta función le ofrece la posibilidad de buscar por marcas comerciales. Los nombres comerciales se encuentran en la lista de códigos bajo “Búsqueda de códigos según el nombre comercial“.




4. Seleccione con la tecla de dirección (tres veces) el menú BRAND CODES.


6. Pulse la tecla de fuente deseada (TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT). Aparecerá la indicación DEVICE TV.

E8. Pulse OK. Aparecerá la pregunta BRAND KEY?.

9. Pulse una tecla numérica para el fabricante deseado según el siguiente índice: Tecla 1 = Medion, TchiboTecla 2 = Philips, Radiola, Philco, Erres, PyeTecla 3 = Sony, Akai, Panasonic, JVC, Sharp, Toshiba, Daewo Tecla 4 = Thomson, Brandt, FergussonTecla 5 = Saba, Nordmende, TelefunkenTecla 6 = Grundig, BlaupunktTecla 0 = todas las marcas.

10. Pulse OK. Aparecerá la indicación SEARCH KEY?.

11. Ahora realice el test de funcionamiento pulsando repetidas veces las teclas PROG+, o PLAY (solamente en caso de grabadoras de vídeo), hasta que el aparato cambie de canal, se desconecte o reaccione de forma correspondiente. La búsqueda de código se inicia en el código memorizado actualmente. Durante la búsqueda aparecerá la entrada SEARCHING (junto con el tipo de aparato seleccionado) en la pantalla. En caso de que se haya saltado el código, podrá volver paso a paso con la tecla PROG– .

12. Si al pulsar la tecla el aparato reacciona de forma correspondiente, pulse OK para memorizar este código. Aparecerá el mensaje de confirmación SUCCESS.


Identificación del código

Si desea saber qué código está memorizado bajo una tecla de fuente determinada, pulse simplemente esta tecla de fuente. Aparecerá el tipo de aparato seleccionado y el código de aparato.

Funcionamiento normal

Controlar aparatos por separado

Cuando haya concluido la programación del mando a distancia para sus aparatos de audio y vídeo, el mando a distancia controlará las funciones principales más usuales, igual que el mando original del respectivo aparato.

Oriente el mando a distancia hacia el aparato deseado y pulse la tecla de selección de fuentes correspondiente. La denominación de la tecla de fuente y el código programado aparecerán en la pantalla. [Con las funciones universales – véase “Funciones universales („Punch Through“)” en la página 31 – no hará falta que pulse anteriormente la tecla de fuente.]

A continuación, puede activar las funciones pulsando las teclas de función correspondientes de su mando a distancia universal. Con cada pulsación de tecla aparecerá el símbolo para la transmisión infrarroja.

La retroiluminación de la pantalla se conecta con cada pulsación de tecla durante 10 hasta 60 segundos (para el ajuste de esta duración, lea por favor: “Retroiluminación” en la página 11).

Por favor, tenga en cuenta que:

- eventualmente no todas las funciones del mando a distancia original están directamente disponibles en el mando a distancia universal.

- especialmente, en el caso de aparatos más modernos, puede suceder que las funciones no estén asignadas a las teclas en las que se espera encontrarlas o que no estén disponibles.

En estos casos puede utilizar la función de aprendizaje para transmitir las funciones del mando a distancia original a las respectivas teclas de su mando a distancia universal (véase “Función de aprendizaje” en la página 25).

Función SHIFT

Después de la programación con un código de aparato, las teclas del mando a distancia universal pueden estar ocupadas doblemente (con excepción de las teclas S_(Setup) y MACRO).

Para utilizar esta segunda función, pulse brevemente la tecla S (Setup) y, a continuación, (dentro de 15-20 segundos) una de las teclas de función o numéricas o de función asignadas dos veces.

Compruebe de qué funciones adicionales dispone una tecla con un código de aparato determinado.

Grabaciones

La tecla (grabación) se deberá pulsar dos veces para realizar una grabación (p. ej., en una grabadora de vídeo, reproductor de DVD o de cassette). Esto sirve para la protección contragrabaciones accidentales.

EEPG – Programación electrónica

La tecla EPG (“EPG“ = „Electronic Program Guide“) tiene varias funciones según con qué código se ejecute:

En el caso de los códigos de televisores o receptores de satélites (p.ej. SAT-TV o DVB-T) la tecla abre la guía electrónica de programación.En el caso de códigos de DVD, la tecla abre el menú de títulos.En el caso de códigos de VCR, con esta tecla puede programar su grabadora, siempre que su vídeo disponga de la función “Showview”.

Si el aparato dispone tanto de una función EPG como también de una función Showview, la función EPG tiene prioridad.

Controlar aparatos combinados

Los aparatos combinados son p. ej., un televisor con grabadora de vídeo, un televisor con un reproductor DVD o una grabadora de vídeo. Para los aparatos combinados existen dos opciones de control.

Aparatos combinados con dos códigos de dispositivoAlgunos aparatos combinados (p. ej. televisor con grabadora de vídeo) necesitan dos códigos, uno para cada componente. Programe el código de TV adecuado en la tecla de fuente TV y el código para la grabadora de vídeo en otra tecla de fuente. Es decir que controlará el aparato combinado como dos dispositivos separados.

Aparatos combinados con un código de dispositivoOtros aparatos combinados sólo necesitan un código. En este caso, deberá seleccionar primero el componente del aparato que desea controlar.

Ejemplo: el aparato es una grabadora combinada DVD / vídeo. El código de dispositivo se asignó a la tecla de selección de fuentes DVD .

Puede controlar el componente de DVD en el aparato combinado manteniendo pulsada la tecla de selección de fuentes DVD durante más de un segundo. Para controlar la grabadora de vídeo en el aparato combinado, pulse primero brevemente la tecla S (Setup) para la función SHIFT, y a continuación la tecla de selección de fuente DVD.

En caso de que desee controlar los dos componentes con dos teclas de selección de fuentes diferentes aunque su dispositivo sólo necesite un único código, proceda de la siguiente forma:

Programe el código de dispositivo en dos teclas de selección de fuentes.Controle uno de los componentes con una de las dos teclas de selección de fuentes. Utilice la función de aprendizaje (véase “Función de aprendizaje” en la página 25 ), para transmitir a la otra tecla de fuente las funciones deseadas del otro aparato.

Función APAGAR TODO

Puede apagar todos los aparatos preprogramados a la vez. Proceda como sigue:

1. Pulse brevemente dos veces la tecla POWER/ALL OFF

y a la segunda pulsación mantenga la tecla pulsada durante aprox. 3 segundos.

2. Al soltar la tecla, aparecerá ALL

OFF y los aparatos se desconectarán.

Algunos aparatos se pueden encender y apagar con la tecla POWER/ALL OFF . Los aparatos apagados de esta manera se encenderán con la ejecución de la función ALL OFF.

Temporizador de comando

Para usar este temporizador la hora debe estar ajustada.

Con el temporizador de comando se puede programar una función, que deberá realizarse automáticamente a una hora determinada dentro de los siguientes 24 horas. La cadena de comandos puede ser de hasta cuatro comandos, con lo que el primer comando siempre debe ser la selección de una tecla de fuente.

Para los tres comandos siguientes no se pueden utilizar las siguientes teclas: las teclas de fuentes, el Joystick (teclas dedirección y OK), MACRO, SETUP, EXIT.

Se pueden crear cuatro temporizadores de comando (temporizador 1, temporizador 2, temporizador 3, temporizador 4).

Una vez ejecutado el comando se borra este temporizador automáticamente.

Programar el temporizador de comandoEjemplo: A continuación se describe la programación de un temporizador de comando que controla una grabación en un reproductor DVD.


2. Pulse S otras dos veces para acceder alTIMER SETUP .

Función de aprendizajePuede almacenar de forma manual las funciones de su mando a distancia original en el mando a distancia universal. Los comandos se memorizan bajo la tecla de fuente sobre la que el aparato fue programado en el mando a distancia original.

El mando a distancia universal es capaz de "aprender" hasta un total de 150 funciones.

Advertencias relativas a la función de aprendizaje

Utilice pilas nuevas en ambos mandos a distancia.Si se comienza una programación desde el principio – especialmente después de la primera puesta en marcha – , primero se borran todos los comandos preprogramados (véase “Borrar las funciones de todas las teclas de selección de fuentes” en la página 27).Sobre cada tecla de fuente solamente se puedeprogramar un mando a distancia original. Si desea programar un mando a distancia original sobre una tecla de fuente, borre primero los comandos de esta tecla de fuente (véase “Borrar comandos sólo para una tecla de fuente” en la página 27). Si la memoria está llena aparecerá la indicación LEARN

ERROR. En este caso borre los comandos memorizados. La programación de cada una de las teclas puede tardar hasta 3 segundos aprox. No suelte la tecla de aprendizaje antes de que aparezca la indicación SUCCESS o LEARN

ERROR.A las siguientes teclas no se les puede asignar funciones: S (Setup), MACRO y todas las teclas de fuente.Algunos mandos a distancia originales (para DVD, vídeo, SAT) también se pueden programar con los códigos de algunas marcas de televisores para controlar funciones básicas del televisor (volumen, MUTE, búsqueda de canal). Por favor no intente transmitir a su mando a distancia universal aquellas funciones de un mando a distancia original que hubieran sido programadas con el código de otro televisor. Esto podría provocar fallos en la programación.Primero realice una prueba, programando dos o tres comandos y probándolos a continuación.

Antes de programar los comandos, borre todos los comandos existentes (véase “Borrar las funciones de todas las teclas de selección de fuentes” en la página 27).

No active la función de aprendizaje directamente debajo de una lámpara de bajo consumo. Estas lámparas (p. ej. tubos de neón) pueden contener componentes de luz infrarroja que pueden influenciar la función de aprendizaje.

Para programar funciones proceda de la siguiente forma:

1. Coloque los dos mandos a distancia encima de una mesa uno enfrente del otro a una distancia de 15 a 50 mm, de modo que los diodos de infrarrojos se miren. Los diodos de infrarrojos deben estar orientados exactamente uno hacia el otro.

2. Mantenga pulsada la tecla S (Setup) durante aprox. 3 segundos hasta que aparezca la indicación CODE SETUP.

3. Pulse S otras tres veces para acceder alLEARN SETUP .

4. Pulse OK, para acceder al modo de aprendizaje.

5. Vuelva a confirmar con OK.6. Ahora seleccione la teclade

fuente sobre la que el aparato del mando a distancia original fue programado.

7. Aparecerá la indicación LEARN

KEY. Seleccione la tecla del mando a distancia universal sobre la que desea memorizar la función del mando a distancia original (no: S y MACRO).

8. Ahora aparecerá la indicación LEARNING. Ahora pulse la tecla del mando a distancia original cuya función se desea transmitir al mando a distancia universal. Mantenga pulsada la tecla tanto tiempo hasta que aparezca la indicación SUCCESS o LEARN ERROR.

9. Sigue la pregunta: LEARN

MORE?. Si se desea ejecutar más funciones de aprendizaje confirme con OK. Volverá a aparecer la indicación LEARN

KEY. Siga como se describe a partir del punto 7.

Si desea finalizar la función de aprendizaje, pulse EXIT.

Borrar comandos

Borrar comandos sólo para una tecla de fuente Acceda al modo de aprendizaje como se describe en el apartado anterior, paso 2 hasta 4. Continúe de la siguiente manera:

6. Ahora seleccione la tecla defuente cuyos comandos desea borrar.

7. A continuación confirme la indicación CONFIRM CLEAR con OK. Si no aparece esta indicación, la tecla de fuente no tiene ningún comando.

WAIT y el mensaje de confirmación SUCCESS.


Borrar las funciones de todas las teclas de selección de fuentesAcceda al modo de aprendizaje como se describe en el penúltimo apartado, paso 2 hasta 4. Continúe de la siguiente manera:

EMacros Con una macro puede almacenar una serie de instrucciones, es decir, puede hacer que varias funciones se ejecuten una tras otra. Puede programar macros y asignarlas a las teclas numéricas 1, 2 y 3.

Estas tres teclas numéricas tienen las denominaciones adicionales TV, VCR, DVD, para que se pueden asignar las macros correspondientemente.

Cada macro puede contener hasta diez comandos. Una macro puede incluir dispositivos diferentes. De esta manera se podrán conectar p.ej. el televisor, la emisora deseada, la grabadora de vídeo y la función de grabación, pulsando simplemente la tecla MACRO y la tecla numérica seleccionada 1, 2 o 3.

Las teclas S (Setup) y MACRO no se pueden utilizar para una macro.

Si desea interrumpir la programación macro antes de tiempo, pulse S (Setup). En este caso la macro no será memorizada.

Programar macros

1. Mantenga pulsada la tecla S (Setup) durante aprox. 3 segundos hasta que aparezca la indicación CODE SETUP.

2. Pulse S otras cuatro veces para acceder alMACRO SETUP .

3. Pulse OK para acceder al modo MACRO SET (ajustar macro).

4. Vuelva a confirmar con OK.5. Ahora seleccione la tecla

numérica 1, 2 o 3, bajo la que se desea memorizar la macro.

6. Aparecerá la pregunta MACRO 1

MODE?. (el número corresponde a la tecla numérica anteriormenteseleccionada). Pulse una tecla de fuentes para el aparato con el que el comando deberá iniciarse.

7. A continuación aparece la solicitud de introducciónMACRO 1 KEY? con la cuenta de pasos (02 para el segundo paso). Ahora ejecute la función que desea memorizar como macro. Se pueden pulsar 9 teclas más, pudiendo cambiar el aparato mediante las teclas de fuentes.

8. Si la secuencia de pasos ha terminado, pulse la tecla MACRO para memorizar la macro. Después del paso 10 la macro se memorizará automáticamente.

9. Aparecerá el mensaje de confirmación SUCCESS.

Incluir una pausaPuede resultar útil incluir una pausa antes de la ejecución de un comando, por ejemplo para tener en cuenta la fase de calentamiento de un televisor. La pausa estándar entre las señales infrarrojas es de medio segundo.

1. Al introducir los pasos (véase apartado 7), pulse la teclaPAUSE en el punto donde desea que se incluya una pausa en el proceso. Aparecerá la pregunta DELAY

TIME?.2. Pulse una tecla numérica

correspondiente al número de segundos que debe durar la pausa (p. ej. “3“ para 3 segundos de pausa). La duración máxima es de 9 segundos.

Ejecutar una macro

1. Para ejecutar una macro pulse una vez brevemente la tecla MACRO en el modo normal. Aparecerá el aviso: MACRO

KEY?. 2. Antes de que transcurran 20

segundos, pulse la tecla numérica a la que ha asignado la respectiva macro (1, 2 o 3).

Mientras se está ejecutando la macro aparece MACRO 1 (o 2 o 3) con el símbolo de emisión.

Si bajo la tecla numéricaseleccionada no está asignada ninguna macro, aparecerá la indicación MACRO 1

Funciones universales („Punch Through“)Las funciones universales (también denominadas funciones „Punch Through“) le permiten ejecutar algunas funciones para un tipo de aparato diferente del que tenga seleccionado actualmente. Estas son las funciones volumen, sin sonido, así como las funciones de reproducción.

Funciones de reproducción

Si el mando a distancia está en el modo de TV, SAT o por cable (aparato sin una función de reproducción propia), las teclas PLAY, STOP, PAUSA, RÁPIDO, ADELANTE/ATRAS y tal vez GRABACIÓN controlan una grabadora de vídeo conectada o un reproductor DVD. No hace falta pulsar anteriormente la tecla de fuente DVD o VCR. Siempre se controla el último aparato que se haya seleccionado.

Este control Punch-Through no funciona, si el código programado de TV, SAT o de cable dispone de una función propia de grabadora de vídeo (como p.ej. un aparato combinado de TV – grabadora de vídeo).

Volumen/Conexión sin sonido

Frecuentemente, los aparatos de transmisión de imagen, que están conectados a un televisor (p.ej., TV, DVD, VCR, SAT, CBL) no tienen una regulación de volumen propia.

Si el mando a distancia universal controla un aparato semejante, y si se pulsan las teclas VOL (volumen) o ( ) (conexión sin sonido), se transmitirá la regulación de volumen al televisor.

Se puede cambiar el ajuste inicial del aparato (véanse los dos apartados siguientes).

A continuación se denominan las funciones de volumen/conexión sin sonido de forma abreviada “VOL/MUTE“.

Programar las funciones universales VOL/MUTE a otro tipo de aparato. Se puede ajustar el mando a distancia de tal forma para que las funciones universalesVOL/MUTE no controlen el televisor sino otro tipo de aparato. Por supuesto, este aparato debe disponer de una regulación de volumen.



3. Pulse OK. Aparecerá VOL/

MUTE SETUP.4. Vuelva a pulsar OK. Aparece el

menú ALL VOL. SET. A través de este menú se programan todos los comandos de VOL/MUTE a un tipo de aparato que se seleccionará en el siguiente paso.

6. Seleccione mediante una tecla de fuente aquel aparato al que se desea aplicar el control.VOL/MUTE.

En caso de haber seleccionado accidentalmente un aparato que no dispone de una regulación de volumen, aparecerá un aviso de error.

Desconectar la función universal VOL/MUTE para un aparato determinado Puede programar el mando a distancia universal de tal forma que para un determinado aparato sólo se utilicen las funciones VOL/MUTE propias. La función “Punch-Through“ está desconectada para este aparato.

No se puede desconectar la función universal para el modo TV. Si, como en el anterior capítulo descrito, se ha seleccionado otro modo para la función universal VOL/MUTE , tampoco para este modo se podrá desconectar la función universal.




MUTE SETUP.

4. Vuelva a pulsar OK. Aparece el menú ALL VOL SET.

5. Seleccione con la tecla de dirección el menú MODE

VOL. SET. A través de este menú se desconecta la función universal VOL/MUTE para un solo aparato que se selecciona en el paso siguiente.

6. Pulse OK. Aparecerá la pregunta MODE VOL MODE?.

7. Seleccione con una tecla defuente el aparato que debe mantener su propio control de VOL/MUTE (no: TV).

8. Aparecerán brevemente una tras otra la indicación PLEASE

WAIT y el mensaje de confirmación SUCCESS.

Restablecer la función universal VOL/MUTE al ajuste de fábrica. Si se han modificado las funciones universales VOL/MUTE como se describe en los dos apartados anteriores, se las puede restablecer al ajuste de fábrica mediante la siguiente programación.

4. Vuelva a pulsar OK. Aparecerá VOL/MUTE ALLE.

ESolución de problemasLa pantalla permanece oscura:

Compruebe si las pilas del mando a distancia está colocadas correctamente teniendo en cuenta su polaridad +/– .Si las pilas estuvieran demasiado gastadas, cámbielas por pilas nuevas.

El mando a distancia no funciona:

Compruebe si sus dispositivos están correctamente conectados y encendidos.

Para la marca de mi aparato hay listados varios códigos de dispositivo. ¿Cómo puedo averiguar el código correcto?

Para encontrar el código correcto para su dispositivo, pruebe todos los códigos uno tras otro, hasta que la mayoría de las funciones del aparato funcionen debidamente.

Los aparatos sólo reaccionan a algunos de los comandos del mando a distancia:

Pruebe con otros códigos, hasta que los aparatos reaccionen debidamente a los comandos.Si no ha tenido éxito con ninguna programación de códigos descrita, en algunos casos muy especiales puede ser que su aparato no sea compatible con su mando a distancia universal.

Eliminación

Embalaje

Su mando a distancia universal está embalado para protegerlo contra eventuales daños durante el transporte. Los embalajes son materias primas y por ello son reutilizables o aptos para ser devueltos al ciclo de reciclaje de materias primas.

Aparato

No tire bajo ningún concepto el mando a distancia universal al final de su vida útil a la basura doméstica normal. Consulte en su ayuntamiento o autoridad local la posibilidad de una eliminación apropiada y respetuosa con el medio ambiente.

Pilas

¡No tire las pilas usadas a la basura doméstica! Deben ser depositadas en un punto de recogida para pilas usadas.

Safety instructionsPlease read these instructions carefully before operating the remote control. Keep the instructions in a safe place for future reference or in case you need to pass them on to someone else.

General information

Do not attempt to repair the remote control yourself.The universal remote control contains an infrared laser class 1 diode. The device has a safety system that prevents the emission of dangerous laser rays escaping from the device during normal use. In order to avoid injury to the eyes, never interfere with or damage the unit's security system.Do not subject your remote control to dust, strong sunlight, moisture, high temperatures or strong vibrations.

Battery instructions

Keep children away from the batteries. Seek medical attention immediately in the event of a battery being swallowed. Before inserting the batteries, check whether the contacts in the device and batteries are clean and, if necessary, clean them.Only use new batteries. Never use old and new batteries together.Do not use a combination of battery types.Please note the polarity (+/-) when inserting the batteries.WARNING! There is a risk of explosion if batteries are incorrectly replaced. Replace the batteries only with the same or equivalent type.Never try to recharge non-rechargeable batteries. There is a risk of an explosion!Store batteries in a cool, dry location. Direct strong heat can damage the batteries. For that reason do not expose the device to any sources of strong heat.Never short-circuit the batteries.Never throw batteries into a fire.If the appliance is not going to be used for long periods, remove the batteries.Immediately remove leaking batteries from the device. Cleaning

Product DescriptionThis universal remote control has eight mode keys and therefore can replace up to eight normal remote controls ("8 in 1 function“). These may be remote controls for practically every type of remote-controlled consumer electronics (see the supplied code list).

The labels "TV" "VCR" "DVD" "CD" "ASAT" "CBL" "AUX" "DSAT" on the mode keys are for overview purposes. With the exception of the TV key, you can assign any key to any device (“Flex Mode”). To program in codes see “Programming device codes” on page 13.

Operation

Inserting batteries

2 LR03 AAA micro batteries are required. We recommend using alkaline batteries for longer durability.

Remove the battery compartment cover by pushing it downwards.Insert both batteries into the compartment while observing the +/- polarity.Replace the cover.

Settings after battery replacement

If the batteries have been inserted correctly, the factory setting is displayed. It shows the active mode ("TV"), the day of the week and the time.

Please read “Setting time and date” on page 9 for more information on setting the time and date.

After new batteries have been inserted, the mode, time, date and backlight time are reset to the factory settings.

However, codes that have already been programmed in as well as programmed learn functions and macros are retained when batteries are changed.

Protection against unexpected battery discharging

If a key remains pressed down by accident (because something is lying on the remote control for example), the remote control sends 255 infrared signals (for approximately 30 seconds) and this ends the transmission. This prevents the batteries from discharging accidentally.

Navigating the menusTo open the Setup menu, press and hold the S (Setup) key until CODE SETUP appears along with the "SET" symbol in the display.If the display shows CODE SETUP continue to press the S (Setup) key to access the other menus: CODE SETUP > SYSTEM SETUP > TIMER SETUP > LEARN SETUP > MACRO SETUP > EXIT SETUP.Press OK to open a menu. Press the arrows to switch between sub-menus .

To exit the Setup menu, press the EXIT key and confirm the EXIT SETUP display with OK.

Cancel function

If you wish to cancel a process, wait approx. 30 seconds. The Setup menu closes automatically and the TIMEOUT message appears.

Setting time and dateIn the standard display, the day and time appear in the lower column.

Press the S (Setup) key briefly to show the date in the lower column for approx. 30 seconds.

Setting clock time

1. Keep the S (Setup) key pressed down for approx. 3 seconds, until CODE SETUP appears.

2. Press S again briefly to open the SYSTEM SETUP.

3. Confirm with OK. The VOL/

MUTE SETUP 1is displayed.4. Use the arrows to select the

TIME SETUP and confirm with OK.

5. The current time format flashes. Use the arrows to select the 12 or 24 HR time format ) and confirm with OK (see the end of the section).

6. The hour display flashes. Use the arrows to select the hour and confirm by pressing OK.

7. The minute display flashes. Use the arrows to select the number of minutes and confirm by pressing OK.

8. The message SUCCESS appears and the display returns to CODE SETUP.

If you choose 12 HR format, the time is displayed with the AM or PM symbols.

Setting the date

1. Open SYSTEM SETUP as described in "Setting clock time".

2. Confirm with OK. The VOL/MUTE SETUP is displayed.3. Use the arrows to select

the DATE SETUP (press twice) and confirm with OK.

4. The year flashes. Use the arrows to select the year and confirm by pressing OK.

5. The month flashes. Use the arrows to select the month and confirm by pressing OK.

6. The day ("DATE") flashes. Use the arrows to select the day and confirm by pressing OK.

7. The day ("DAY") flashes. Use the arrows to select the day of the week and confirm by pressing OK.

8. The message SUCCESS appears and the display returns to CODE SETUP.

BacklightThe display's backlight comes on each time the button is pressed. The backlight's factory setting is for 10 seconds. You can switch off the backlight or extend it to 60 seconds.

Please note that the backlight uses up additional battery life.

times) to select the BACKLIGHT SETUP and confirm with OK.

RESET – factory settingsUse Reset to restore all device settings to the factory settings. Codes that have been programmed in, learn functions and macros are therefore deleted.




MUTE SETUP is displayed.

4. Use the arrows (press four times) to select SYSTEM RESET and confirm with OK.

5. The message CONFIRM RESET is displayed. Confirm with OK to reset the settings.

6. While the factory settings are being restored, PLEASE WAIT

appears in the display.

Programming device codesFor every device that you would like to operate using the universal remote control, you must program a four-digit device code to a mode key (TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT). The names on the keys are only for reminder purposes. With the exception of the TV key you can assign any key to any device (“Flex Mode”).

The TV mode key can only be assigned to TV device codes.

Device types and code groups

You can choose between the following device types when programming in codes:

TV: TV set, projector, plasma screen, LCD;

VCR: Video recorder;

LD: Laser disc player;

DVD: DVD player;

DVR: Digital video recorder;

HDD: Hard disk drive;

SAT: Satellite receivers (analogue, digital);

CABLE: Cable box, Pay TV decoder;

DVBT: DVB-T receivers;

STB: Set top box;

AUDIO: Audio device;

AMP: Amplifier;

RECR: Receiver (combined radio and amplifier);

HTIB: Home Cinema;

MP3: MP3 player;

CD: CD player;

TAPE: Cassette players;

PHONO: Record player.

Assigment to code groupsEach type of device is assigned to a group of device codes. When you select a device type, the appropriate code group is searched to find a device code. Device types are assigned as follows:

Programming options

The following sections describe the different methods for finding a device code:

by selecting a code for a certain device type in the display,according to the enclosed Code List,by running a search,by brand name.

For combined devices (e.g. TV set with video recorder, TV set with DVD player, DVD and video recorder) it is often necessary to assign two mode keys with the respective code for each part of the device (e.g. the TV mode key for TV functions and a different mode key for the VCR or DVD functions). However, there are also combined devices with only one code for both device parts (see also “Operating combined devices” on page 20).

Opens programming mode

To open the programming mode, press and hold the S (Setup) key until CODE

SETUP appears along with "SET" in the display.

Select device code in the display

1. Switch on the device to be controlled.2. Keep the S (Setup) key

pressed down for approx. 3 seconds, until CODE SETUP appears.

3. Press OK. The LIST CODES menu is displayed.

4. Press OK. The MODE KEY display appears.

5. Press the required mode key (TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT). In the display you see the words DEVICE? TV.

6. Use the arrows to select the device type to be programmed on this mode key. (If you select "TV" it is not possible to select a device type because only TV codes can be programmed on the TV mode key.)

Please refer to the list and table on Page 13.

7. Press OK. PLEASE WAIT appears in the display. The codes for the device group that contains the previously selected device type are now scanned in order of brand name (cf. the enclosed code list). The first entry is displayed in alphabetical order with the first code.

8. Use the arrows to select the brand name of

your device. The first code is shown.

9. Use the arrows to select a device code for this brand name.

10. Now try the universal remote control with your device. To do this, (depending on the device type) use the following keys POWER , 0 – 9, VOL, PROG, AV, Mute , Video text as well as the six playback keys.If the device does not respond as expected, select a different code.

11. When you have found a suitable device code, press OK to save the code.PLEASE WAIT appears again in the display, followed by the confirmation message SUCCESS.

The remote control returns to normal operation.

Entering the device code according to the code list

The codes of the corresponding devices can be found in the code list enclosed with these operating instructions.



3. Press OK. LIST CODES now appears in the display.

4. Use the arrows to select the ENTER CODES menu.


6. Press the required mode key (TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT). The mode key label is displayed with the current code.

7. Use the number keys to select the preferred code from the code list. After you enter the fourth digit, the confirmation message SUCCESS is displayed.

If an incorrect code is entered, the error message CODE ERROR appears. – The universal remote control then switches to normal operation.

Manual code search

You can use the manual code search to find all of a device's codes, including those that are not shown in the code list.

6. Press the required mode key (TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT). The DEVICE TV display appears.

7. Use the arrows to select the device type to be programmed on this mode key. (If you select "TV" it is not possible to select a device type because only TV codes can be programmed on the TV mode key.)

Please refer to the list and table on Page 13.

8. Press OK. The SEARCH KEY display appears.

9. Perform the function test now by pressing the PROG+, or PLAY (VCR only) keys (up to 350 times) until the device changes channels, switches off or responds accordingly. The code search begins with the code that is currently stored.While the search is running, the word SEARCHING (along with the selected device type) is displayed. If you miss the code, you can go back step by step with the PROG– key.

10. When the device responds accordingly each time a key is pressed, press OK to save the code. The SUCCESS confirmation message appears.

When all codes for the selected device type are shown, the following message appears:SEARCH END.

Code searching by brand name

This function gives you the option of searching by brand name. You can find the brand name in the code list under "Code Search by Brand Name".




4. Use the arrows (press three times) to select the BRAND CODES menu.


6. Press the required mode key (TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT). The DEVICE TV display appears.

7. Use the arrows to select the device type to be programmed on this mode key. (If you select "TV" it is not possible to select a device type, because only TV codes can be programmed on the TV mode key.)

8. Press OK. The BRAND KEY? query appears.

9. Press a number key for a required manufacturer according to the following overview: Key 1 = Medion, TchiboKey 2 = Philips, Radiola, Philco, Erres, PyeKey 3 = Sony, Akai, Panasonic, JVC, Sharp, Toshiba,

Daewoo Key 4 = Thomson, Brandt, FergussonKey 5 = Saba, Nordmende, Telefunken Key 6 = Grundig, BlaupunktKey 0 = all brands.

10. Press OK. The SEARCH KEY? display appears.

11. Perform the function test now by pressing the PROG+, or PLAY keys (VCR only) until the device changes channel, switches off or responds accordingly.

Normal operation

Operating individual devices

After you have finished programming your remote control for your audio/video devices, the remote control will work in the common main functions just like the original remote control for the respective device.

Point your remote control at the desired device and press the relevant mode key. The mode key label is displayed with the programmed in code. [For the universal functions – see “Universal functions (“Punch Through”)” on page 30 – you do not need to press the mode key in advance.]

Activate the functions by pressing the corresponding function key on your universal remote control. The symbol for infrared transmission appears each time you press a key.

Each time a key is pressed the display backlight switches on for between 10 and 60 seconds (to set this duration please read: “Backlight” on page 11).

Please note:

- In certain circumstances, not every function of your original remote control may be directly available on the universal remote control.

- Especially for newer devices, it might be possible that the functions are stored to different keys than expected or may not even be available at all.

In these cases you can use the learn function to transfer the functions of your original remote control to the desired keys of the universal remote control (see “Learn function” on page 24).

SHIFT function

After you program a device code, the universal remote control keys can have double functions (with the exception of the S_(Setup) and MACRO keys).

To use the second function, briefly press the S (SETUP) key and then (within 15-20 seconds) press one of the secondary function or number keys.

Try out which additional functions a key has for a particular device code.

Recordings

The (Record) key for recording (e.g. on video recorder, DVD, or cassette recorder) must be pressed twice. This acts as a protection from accidental recordings.

EPG – Electronic Programme Guide

The EPG ("Electronic Programme Guide") key has various functions depending on which code has been used:

For TV and satellite codes (e.g. SAT-TV or DVB-T), the button opens the electronic programme guide.For DVD codes the button opens the title menu.

For VCR codes you can use the button for programming, if your video recorder has a Showview function.

If the device has both an EPG and a Showview function, the EPG function is given priority.

Operating combined devices

Combined devices are for example a TV set with an integrated video recorder, a TV set with a DVD player or a DVD recorder with a video recorder. Several controlling options are available to combined devices.

Combined devices with two device codesSome combined devices (e.g. TV set with video recorder) require two device codes - one for each device part. Program the correct TV code on the TV mode key and the video recorder code on the other mode key. The combined device is then controlled like two separate devices.

Combined devices with one device codeOther combined devices only require one code. In this case, you must first select the device part you would like to operate.

Example: The device is a combined DVD recorder/video recorder. The device code was stored on the DVD mode key.

Now activate the DVD part in the combined device by holding down the DVD mode key for longer than one second. To activate the video recorder in the combined device, first briefly press the S (Setup) key for the SHIFT function, then the DVD mode key.

If your combined unit only requires one code but you would like to operate it with two mode keys, then proceed as follows:

Programme the device code to two mode keys.Operate one of the unit parts with one of the two mode keys. Use the learn function (see “Learn function” on page 24 ) to transfer the desired functions of the other unit part to the other mode key.

ALL OFF function

You can switch off all pre-programmed devices at the same time. This is done as follows:

1. Press the POWER/ALL OFF key twice in rapid succession and keep it pressed down after the second time for approx. 3 seconds.

2. When you release the key, ALL

OFF appears and the devices are switched off.

Some devices can be switched on and off with the POWER/ALL OFF key Devices switched off in such a way will, if they were switched off, be switched back on when you perform the ALL OFF function.

Set timerThe universal remote control has two timer functions:

a sleep-timer for the TV (automatic switch off after 1 to 90 minutes);"Zzz" appears in the display:four additional times for customisable commands (e.g. switching to another programme); the bell symbol appears in the display.

TV sleep-timer

Set sleep-timer1. Keep the S (Setup) key pressed

down for approx. 3 seconds, until CODE SETUP appears.

2. Press S briefly twice more to open TIMER SETUP.

3. Press OK" The TV SLEEP

SETUP menu is displayed.

4. Press OK" The TV SLEEP SET display appears.

5. Press OK" The number of minutes flash in the display.

6. Use the arrows to enter the time after which the TV device should switch itself off automatically.

7. Press OK" The SUCCESS confirmation message appears along with the TV timer symbol "Zzz".

8. Lay the universal remote control down so that it is pointing towards the device and is not obstructed.

Switch off sleep-timerIf a sleep-timer is on ("Zzz" appears in the display) TV SLEEP

CLEAR appears in the display instead of TV SLEEP SET when you perform the steps described above.

1. Perform steps 1 to 4 as described above. The TV

SLEEP CLEAR display appears.

2. Press OK" The message CONFIRM CLEAR is displayed.

3. Press OK" The SUCCESS confirmation message appears.

Command timer

The clock must be set for this timer.

You can use the command timer to program a function that is to run automatically at a particular time within the next 24 hours. The command series can contain up to four commands, the first command must always be the selection of a mode key.

The following keys are not available for the remaining three commands: the mode keys, the joystick (arrows and OK), MACRO, SETUP, EXIT.

You can create four command timers (Timer 1, Timer 2, Timer 3, Timer 4).

When the command is run this timer is automatically deleted.

Program the command timerExample: This is how to program a command timer to control a recording on a DVD recorder.


2. Press S briefly twice more to open TIMER SETUP.

3. Press OK" The SLEEPTIMER

TV menu is displayed.4. Use the arrows to select

9. The TIMER 1 MODE? display prompts you to enter the command. Use the mode key to select the device on which the command should be performed.In our example, DVD if the DVD recorder was programmed on this key.

10. Press OK. You are prompted to make the first entry TIMER 1

KEY1. Enter the first command. In our example: Use the number keys to select the programme.

If no other input is needed, press OK or EXIT.

11. The TIMER 1 KEY2 display appears. Enter the second command.In our example: Press the Record key.

12. The TIMER 1 KEY3 display appears after the second command.In our example, press the Record key again.

13. The SUCCESS confirmation message appears along with the bell symbol after the third command.

14. Lay the universal remote control down so that it is pointing towards the device and is not obstructed.

You can cancel programming at any time by pressing EXIT.

Delete command timerIf a command timer is set (the bell symbol appears in the display), TIMER 1 CLEAR appears in the display instead of TIMER 1 SET in the steps described above.

1. Perform steps 1 to 5 as described above. The TIMER 1

CLEAR display appears.

2. Press OK" The message CONFIRM CLEAR is displayed.

3. Press OK" The SUCCESS confirmation message appears.

Learn functionYou can manually save the functions of an original remote control to your universal remote control. Commands are saved to the mode key on which the device of the original remote control was programmed.

The universal remote control can “learn” up to 150 commands.

Notes on learn function

Use new batteries for both remote controls.If you start programming from the start– especially after the first operation – delete all saved commands first of all (see “Deleting commands for all mode keys” on page 26).Only one original remote control can be programmed on each mode key.If you would like to program an original remote control to a mode key, first delete the commands on this mode key (see “Deleting commands for only one mode key” on page 26). The LEARN ERROR message is displayed if the memory is full. If this happens, delete saved commands.Programming each key can take approx. 3 seconds. Do not release the key to be learned before the SUCCESS or LEARN ERROR message appears.The following keys cannot be assigned to functions: S (Setup), MACRO and all mode keys.Some original remote controls (for DVD, video recorder, SAT) can themselves be programmed with the device codes of some TV brands to carry out basic TV set functions (volume, mute, channel search). Do not attempt to transfer the functions of an original remote control that has been programmed with the code of a different TV set to your universal remote control. This could cause programming errors.First try to program two or three commands and then test them.

Before programming in your commands, first delete all existing commands (see “Deleting commands for all mode keys” on page 26).

Do not execute the learn function under a low-energy lamp. Such lamps (e.g. fluorescent lamps) can contain infrared light components that could influence the learn function.

Program commands

To programme, proceed as follows:

1. Place the remote controls with the infrared diodes facing each other spaced 15 to 50 mm apart on the table. The infrared diodes must be pointing directly at each other.

2. Keep the S (Setup) key pressed for approx. 3 seconds until CODE SETUP appears.

3. Press S briefly three more times to open the LEARN SETUP menu.

4. Press OK to open the learn mode.

5. Confirm once again with OK.6. Now select the mode key on

which the device of the original remote control was programmed.

7. The LEARN KEY prompt appears. Now select the key on the universal remote control that is to be assigned to the original remote control function (not: S or MACRO).

8. In the display you now see LEARNING. Now select the key on the universal remote control whose function should be assigned to the universal remote control. Keep this key pressed until either the SUCCESS or LEARN ERROR message appears.

9. The following query appears: LEARN MORE?. If you want to perform additional learn functions, confirm with OK. The LEARN KEY prompt appears again. Proceed as described in point 7.

If you want to end the learn function, press EXIT.

Delete commands

Deleting commands for only one mode keyOpen the learn mode as described in the previous section, steps 2 to 4. Proceed as follows:

MacrosUsing a macro, you can save a chain of commands, meaning that several functions can be executed consecutively. You can program three macros and store them on the number keys 1, 2 and 3.

These three number keys have the additional labels TV, VCR, DVD, so that you can assign macros accordingly.

Each macro can include up to ten key commands. A macro can include different devices. In this way you could, for example, switch on the TV set, the desired channel, the video recorder and the recording function by simply pressing the MACRO key and the selected number key 1, 2 or 3.

The S (Setup) and MACRO keys cannot be used for a macro.

If you would like to interrupt macro programming prematurely, press S (Setup). In this case, the macro is not saved.

Programming macros

1. Keep the S (Setup) key pressed for approx. 3 seconds, until CODE SETUP appears.

2. Press S briefly four more times to open the MACRO SETUP menu.

3. Press OK to open the MACRO

SET mode.4. Confirm once again with OK.

5. Now select the number key 1, 2 or 3 where the macro is to be saved.

6. The query MACRO 1 MODE? appears. (The number corresponds to the previously selected number key.) Press a mode key for the device where the command is to start.

7. The input query MACRO 1 KEY? appears with the step number (02 for the second step). Now carry out the function that you would like to save as a macro. You can press up to 9 other keys and you can also change devices via the mode keys.

8. When the series of steps is finished, press the MACRO key to save the macro.The macro is saved automatically after step 10.

9. The SUCCESS confirmation message appears.

Incorporating delaysIt can be useful to incorporate a time delay before a command step in order to take the warm-up phase of the TV set into consideration, for example. The standard delay between the infrared signals is equal to half a second.

1. While entering the steps (see Point 7 above) press the PAUSE key at the point where the time delay should be incorporated. The DELAY TIME? query appears.

2. Press a number key corresponding to the seconds by which you would like to delay (e.g. “3” for a 3-second delay). The maximum delay is 9 seconds.

Executing macros

1. To execute a macro, briefly press the MACRO key once in normal mode. The following message appears: MACRO

KEY?. 2. Then press the number key

where the macro was saved within 20 seconds (1, 2 or 3).

While the macro is running, MACRO

1 (or 2 or 3) appears along with the transmission symbol.

If no macro is saved under the selected numberkey, the message MACRO 1 VOID appears.

Universal functions(“Punch Through”)The universal functions (also called “Punch Through” functions) enable you to carry out certain functions on a different device type than the programmed one. These are the volume, mute and playback functions.

Playback functions

If the remote control is in TV, SAT or cable mode (devices without playback function), the PLAY, STOP, PAUSE, FAST FORWARD/BACK, and in some cases RECORD keys will control a connected video recorder, DVD player or video recorder. The DVD or VCR mode keys do not need to be pressed in advance. The last selected device is activated.

This Punch Through control does not work if the programmed TV, SAT or cable code has its own video recorder function (for example in the case of a combined TV-video recorder device).

Volume/mute

Image transmitting devices connected to a TV (e.g. TV, DVD, VCR, SAT, CBL) often do not have their own volume control.

When the universal remote control is controlling this type of device and the VOL (Volume) or ( ) (Mute) keys are pressed, the volume control is transferred to the TV.

You can modify this basic device setting (cf. both sections below).

The volume/mute functions are referred to in the shortened form VOL/MUTE below.

Programming the VOL/MUTE universal functions to another device typeYou can program the remote control so that the universal functions VOL/MUTEwill control a device type other than the TV set. Of course this device must have a volume control.



3. Press OK" The VOL/MUTE

SETUP is displayed.

4. Press OK again. The following menu is displayed ALL VOL.

SET. All VOL/MUTE commands are programmed on a device type that you select in the next step.

If you selected the wrong device that does not have its own volume control, an error message appears.

Switching off the VOL/MUTE universal function for a specific deviceYou can program the universal remote control in such a way that it will use only that particular device’s own VOL/MUTE functions. The "Punch Through" function for this device is therefore switched off.

The universal function cannot be switched off for the TV mode. As described in the previous section, if you have selected a different mode for the VOL/MUTE universal function, you will not be able to switch off the universal function for this mode either.

Error recoveryThe display remains dark:

Check whether the remote control batteries have been correctly inserted and have matching +/– polarity.If the batteries are too weak then replace them with new ones.

The remote control does not work:

Check whether your devices have been properly connected and are switched on.

There are several device codes listed under the brand name of my device. How do I determine the correct device code?

To determine the correct device code for your device, try each consecutive code until most of the functions of the device function properly.

The devices only respond to a few remote control commands:

Continue testing further codes until the devices respond to the commands accordingly.If none of the code programmings described are successful, it may be, in exceptional cases, that the device is not compatible with your universal remote control.

Disposal

Packaging

Your universal remote control is wrapped in packaging to protect it against transportation damage. Packaging is raw material and can be re-used or added to the recycling system.

Device

At the end of its life, the universal remote control should not be disposed of in household rubbish. Seek the advice of your local authority on correct, environmentally-friendly disposal.

Batteries

Do not dispose of used batteries in the household rubbish! They should be deposited at a collection point for used batteries.

SicherheitshinweiseBevor Sie die Fernbedienung in Betrieb nehmen, lesen Sie bitte diese Anleitung ausführlich durch. Bewahren Sie die Anleitung zum Nachschlagen oder zur evtl. Weitergabe an Dritte gut auf.

Allgemeines

Versuchen Sie nicht, die Fernbedienung selbst zu reparie-ren.Die Universal-Fernbedienung besitzt eine Infrarot-Diode der Laserklasse 1. Das Gerät ist mit einem Sicherheits-system ausgerüstet, das das Austreten von gefährlichen Laserstrahlen während des normalen Gebrauchs verhin-dert. Um Augenverletzungen zu vemeiden, manipulieren oder beschädigen Sie niemals das Sicherheitssystem des Geräts.Setzen Sie Ihre Fernbedienung keinem Staub, starker Sonneneinstrahlung, Feuchtigkeit, hohen Temperaturen oder starken Erschütterungen aus.

Batteriehinweise

Halten Sie Batterien von Kindern fern. Falls eine Batterie verschluckt wurde, suchen Sie umgehend einen Arzt auf. Prüfen Sie vor dem Einlegen der Batterien, ob die Kon-takte im Gerät und an den Batterien sauber sind, und rei-nigen Sie sie gegebenenfalls.Legen Sie grundsätzlich nur neue Batterien ein. Benutzen Sie nie alte und neue Batterien zusammen.Vermischen Sie die Batterietypen nicht.Achten Sie beim Einlegen der Batterien auf die Polarität (+/–).ACHTUNG! Bei unsachgemäßem Auswechseln der Batte-rien besteht Explosionsgefahr! Ersetzen Sie die Batterien nur durch denselben oder einen gleichwertigen Typ.Versuchen Sie niemals, Batterien wieder aufzuladen. Es besteht Explosionsgefahr!Lagern Sie Batterien an einem kühlen, trockenen Ort. Di-rekte starke Wärme kann die Batterien beschädigen. Set-zen Sie das Gerät daher keinen starken Hitzequellen aus.Schließen Sie Batterien nicht kurz.Werfen Sie Batterien nicht in Feuer.Wenn Sie das Gerät für längere Zeit nicht benutzen, neh-men Sie die Batterien heraus.Nehmen Sie ausgelaufene Batterien sofort aus dem Gerät. Reinigen Sie die Kontakte, bevor Sie neue Batterien einle-gen. Es besteht Verätzungsgefahr durch Batteriesäure!Entfernen Sie auch leere Batterien aus dem Gerät.

Reinigung

Reinigen Sie das Gerät mit einem trockenen oder leicht feuchten, fusselfreien Tuch. Benutzen Sie keine ätzenden oder aggressiven Reinigungsmittel.

AnwendungsumfangDiese Universal-Fernbedienung verfügt über acht Quellenta-sten und kann dadurch bis zu acht normale Fernbedienungen ersetzen („8-in-1-Funktion“). Dies können Fernbedienungen für praktisch jede Art von ferngesteuerter Unterhaltungselektro-nik sein (vgl. auch die mitgelieferte Code-Liste) .

Die Bezeichnungen „TV“, „VCR“, „DVD“, „CD“, „ASAT“, „CBL“, „AUX“, „DSAT“ auf den Quellentasten dienen der Übersichtlichkeit. Mit Ausnahme der Taste TV können Sie jede Taste mit jedem Gerät belegen („Flex-Mode“). Zur Ein-programmierung der Codes siehe “Gerätecodes program-mieren” auf Seite 13.

Inbetriebnahme

Batterien einsetzen

Sie benötigen 2 Microzellen LR03 „AAA“. Wir empfehlen Alkaline-Batterien für die längere Haltbarkeit.

Lösen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel, in-dem Sie ihn nach unten abziehen.Legen Sie die beiden Batterien unter Be-achtung der Polarität +/– in das Fach ein.Setzen Sie die Abdeckung wieder auf.

Einstellungen nach Batteriewechsel

Wenn die Batterien richtig ein-gelegt sind, ist das Display ein-geschaltet. Es zeigt den akti-ven Modus („TV“), den Wochentag und die Uhrzeit.

Zum Einstellen von Uhrzeit und Datum lesen Sie bitte “Uhrzeit und Datum einstellen” auf Seite 9.

Nach einem Neueinlegen der Batterien werden der Modus, die Uhrzeit, das Datum und die Hintergrundbeleuchtungszeit auf die Werkseinstellungen zurückgesetzt.

Dagegen bleiben bereits einprogrammierte Codes sowie ein-programmierte Lernfunktionen und Macros nach einem Bat-teriewechsel erhalten.

Schutz vor unabsichtlicher Batterieentleerung

Sollte eine Taste unabsichtlich gedrückt bleiben (z. B. weil ein Gegenstand auf der Fernbedienung liegt), sendet die Fernbedienung 255 Infrarot-Signale (entspricht ca. 30 Se-kunden) und stoppt dann die Übertragung . Dies verhindert, dass sich die Batterien unnötig entleeren.

1. Langes Drücken der Taste S (Setup) öffnet das SETUP-Menü mit dem ersten Menü CODE SETUP (vgl. nächstes Kapitel).

2. Die meisten Tasten können mit zwei Funktionen belegt wer-den (vgl. Seite 19). Auf die zweite Funktion greifen Sie zu, in-dem Sie zunächst die SHIFT-Funktion aktivieren.

SETUP mit dem Zusatz „SET“ erscheint.Wenn das Display CODE SETUP zeigt, drücken Sie die Ta-ste S (Setup) wiederholt, um die weiteren Menüs aufzuru-fen: CODE SETUP > SYSTEM SETUP > TIMER SETUP > LEARN SETUP > MACRO SETUP > EXIT SETUP.Um ein Menü zu öffnen, drücken Sie OK. Vorgang abbrechen

Wenn Sie einen Vorgang ab-brechen möchten, warten Sie ca. 30 Sekunden. Das Setup-Menü schließt sich automa-tisch und es erscheint kurz die Anzeige TIMEOUT.

Uhrzeit und Datum einstellenDas Grunddisplay zeigt in der unteren Zeile Wochentag und Uhrzeit.

Durch kurzes Drücken der Taste S (Setup) erscheint in der unteren Zeile für ca. 30 Sekunden das Datum.

Uhrzeit einstellen

1. Halten Sie die Taste S (Setup) für ca. 3 Sekunden gedrückt, bis die Anzeige CODE SETUP erscheint.

2. Drücken Sie S ein weiteres Mal kurz, um das SYSTEM SETUP aufzurufen.

3. Bestätigen Sie mit OK. Es er-scheint das VOL/MUTE

SETUP.1

4. Wählen Sie mit der Pfeilrich-tung das TIME SETUP und bestätigen Sie mit OK.

5. Der aktuelle Zeitmodus blinkt. Wählen Sie mit den Pfeilrich-tungen den Zeitmodus 12 oder 24 HR = Stunden) und bestätigen Sie mit OK (siehe Ende des Abschnitts).

6. Die Stundenanzeige blinkt. Wählen Sie mit den Pfeilrich-tungen die Stunden und bestätigen Sie mit OK.

7. Die Minutenanzeige blinkt. Wählen Sie mit den Pfeilrich-tungen die Minuten und bestätigen Sie mit OK.

8. Die Quittierungsmeldung SUC-

CESS erscheint; das Display kehrt zum CODE SETUP zurück.

Falls Sie den Zeitmodus 12 HR wählen, wird die Zeit mit den Zusät-zen AM (Vormittagsstunden) bzw. PM (Nachmittagsstunden) ange-zeigt.

Datum einstellen

1. Rufen Sie wie unter „Uhrzeit einstellen“ beschrieben das SYSTEM SETUP auf.

HintergrundbeleuchtungBei jedem Tastendruck schaltet sich die Hintergundbeleuch-tung des Displays ein. In der Werkseinstellung bleibt die Be-leuchtung für 10 Sekunden an. Sie können die Hintergrund-beleuchtung ausschalten oder bis auf 60 Sekunden verlängern.

Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Hintergrundbeleuchtung zusätzliche Batterieleistung benötigt.



3. Bestätigen Sie mit OK. Es er-scheint das VOL/MUTE SETUP.

4. Wählen Sie mit der Pfeilrich-tung (dreimal) das BACKLIGHT SETUP (Setup für die Hintergrundbeleuchtung) und bestätigen Sie mit OK.

5. Die aktuell eingestellte Zeit blinkt (10 Sekunden in der Werkseinstellung). Wählen Sie mit den Pfeilrichtungen in Fünf-Sekunden-Schritten die gewünschte Zeitspanne.Um die Hintergrundbeleuch-tung auszuschalten, wählen Sie “00“ Sekunden.Bestätigen Sie mit OK.

6. Die Quittierungsmeldung SUC-

CESS erscheint; das Display kehrt zum CODE SETUP zurück.

RESET – WerkseinstellungenMit einem Reset setzen Sie alle Einstellungen des Geräts auf die Werkseinstellungen zurück. Einprogrammierte Codes, Lernfunktionen, Macros werden also gelöscht.



3. Bestätigen Sie mit OK. Es er-scheint das VOL/MUTE SETUP.

4. Wählen Sie mit der Pfeilrich-tung (viermal) das SYSTEM

RESET und bestätigen Sie mit OK.

5. Es erscheint die Meldung CONFIRM RESET (Reset be-stötigen). Bestätigen Sie mit OK., um das Reset durchzu-führen.

6. Während die Werkseinstellun-gen wieder hergestellt werden, erscheint PLEASE WAIT im Display.

Gerätecodes programmierenSie müssen einen vierstelligen Gerätecode für jedes Gerät, das Sie mit der Universal-Fernbedienung bedienen möchten, auf eine Quellentaste (TV, VCR, DVD, CD, ASAT, CBL, AUX, DSAT) programmieren. Dabei dienen die Bezeichnungen auf den Tasten nur als Merkhilfe. Mit Ausnahme der Taste TV können Sie jede Taste mit jedem Gerät belegen („Flex-Mode“).

Beim Einprogrammieren der Codes können Sie zwischen folgenden Gerätetypen wählen:

Zuordnung zu CodegruppenJeder Gerätetyp ist einer Gruppe von Gerätecodes zugeord-net. Wenn Sie einen Gerätetyp auswählen, wird ein Geräte-code in der passenden Codegruppe gesucht. Die Geräte-typen sind folgendermaßen zugeordnet:

Programmiermöglichkeiten

Die folgenden Abschnitte beschreiben die verschiedenen Methoden, einen Gerätecode zu finden:

durch Auswahl eines Codes für einen bestimmten Geräte-typ über das Display,nach der mitgelieferten Code-Liste,durch einen Suchlauf,nach Handelsname.

Bei Kombigeräten (z. B. TV-Gerät mit Videorecorder, TV-Ge-rät mit DVD-Spieler, DVD- und Videorecorder) ist es häufig notwendig, zwei Quellentasten mit dem jeweiligen Code für beide Teile des Geräts zu belegen (z. B. die Quellentaste TV für die TV-Funktionen und eine andere Quellentaste für die VCR- oder DVD-Funktionen). Es gibt jedoch auch Kombige-räte mit nur einem Code für beide Geräteteile (siehe hierzu auch “Kombi-Geräte bedienen” auf Seite 20).

Programmiermodus aufrufen

Um den Programmiermodus aufzurufen, halten Sie die Ta-ste S (Setup) gedrückt, bis die Anzeige CODE SETUP und der Eintrag „SET“ erscheinen.

Gerätecode über das Display auswählen

7. Drücken Sie OK. Es er-scheint die Anzeige PLEASE

WAIT.Die Codes der Geräte-gruppe, die den vorher ge-wählten Gerätetyp enthält, werden nun in der Reihen-folge der Handelsnamen ein-gelesen (vgl. Sie auch die mitgelieferte Code-Liste). Es erscheint der alphabetisch erste Eintrag mit dem ersten Code.

8. Wählen Sie mit den Pfeilrich-tungen den Handels-namen Ihres Geräts aus. Es erscheint der erste Code.

9. Wählen Sie dann mit den Pfeilrichtungen einen Gerätecode dieses Handelsnamens.

10. Probieren Sie nun die Universal-Fernbedienung an Ihrem Gerät aus. Benutzen Sie hierzu (je nach Gerätetyp) die Tasten OWER , 0 – 9, VOL, PROG, AV, Stummschal-tung , die Videotext- sowie die sechs Wiedergabeta-sten.Falls das Gerät nicht wie gewünscht reagiert, wählen Sie einen anderen Code.

11. Wenn Sie einen passenden Gerätecode gefunden haben, drücken Sie OK, um den Code zu speichern.Es erscheint wieder die An-zeige PLEASE WAIT , gefolgt von der Quittierungsmeldung SUCCESS.

Die Fernbedienung schaltet dann in den Normalbetrieb.

Gerätecode nach Code-Liste eingeben

Die Codes der entsprechenden Geräte sind der Code-Liste, die dieser Bedienungsanleitung beiliegt, zu entnehmen.

7. Wählen Sie mit den Ziffern-tasten den gewünschten Code aus der Code-Liste. Nach Eingabe der vierten Zif-fer erscheint die Quittierungsmeldung SUCCESS.


Wurde ein falscher Code einge-geben, erfolgt eine entspre-chende Fehlermeldung CODE

ERROR. – Die Universal-Fernbe-dienung kehrt dann in den Nor-malbetrieb zurück.

Manueller Code-Suchlauf

Mit dem manuallen Suchlauf können Sie sämtliche Codes eines Geräts finden, also auch solche, die nicht in der Code-Liste aufgeführt sind.



3. Drücken Sie OK. Es er-scheint zunächst die Anzeige LIST CODES (Codes aufru-fen).

4. Wählen Sie mit der Pfeilrich-tung (zweimal) das Menü SEARCH CODES (Codes su-chen).

Führen Sie jetzt den Funktions-test aus, indem Sie mehrmals nacheinander (bis zu 350 Mal) die Tasten PROG+, oder PLAY (nur bei Videorecordern) drücken, bis das Gerät den Kanal wechselt, sich ausschaltet oder entsprechend reagiert. Die Code-Suche beginnt bei dem momentan gespei-cherten Code.Während der Suche erscheint der Eintrag SEARCHING (zusammen mit dem gewählten Gerätetyp) im Display. Falls Sie den Code verpasst haben, können Sie mit der Taste PROG– schrittweise zurückgehen.

10. Wenn das Gerät auf den Ta-stendruck entsprechend rea-giert, drücken Sie OK, um den Code zu speichern. Es erscheint die Quittierungsmeldung SUCCESS.


Wenn alle Codes des vorher ge-wählten Gerätetyps gewählt wor-den sind, erfolgt die Meldung SEARCH END.

Codesuche nach Handelsname

Diese Funktion bietet Ihnen die Möglichkeit, nach Handels-namen zu suchen. Die Handelsnamen finden Sie in der Code-Liste unter “Code-Suche nach Handelsname“.

10. Drücken Sie OK. Es er-scheint die Anzeige SEARCH

Code-Identifizierung

Wenn Sie wissen möchten, wel-cher Code unter einer bestimmten Quellentaste gespeichert ist, drük-ken Sie einfach diese Quellenta-ste. Es erscheinen der gewählte Gerätetyp und der Geräte-code.

Normaler Betrieb

Einzelgeräte bedienen

Nachdem Sie die Programmierung Ihrer Fernbedienung für Ihre Audio/Video-Geräte vorgenommen haben, arbeitet die Fernbedienung in den gebräuchlichsten Hauptfunktionen wie die Original-Fernbedienung des jeweiligen Gerätes.

Richten Sie Ihre Fernbedienung auf das gewünschte Gerät und drücken Sie die entsprechende Quellentaste. Die Bezeichnung der Quellentaste und der einprogrammierte Code erscheinen im Display. [Bei den Universalfunktionen – siehe “Universalfunk-tionen („Punch Through“)” auf Seite 31 – brauchen Sie die Quellentaste nicht vorab zu drücken.]

Sie aktivieren die Funktionen nun durch Drücken der entsprechen-den Taste Ihrer Universal-Fernbe-dienung. Bei jedem Tastendruck erscheint das Symbol für die Infrarotübertragung.

Die Hintergrundbeleuchtung des Displays schaltet sich bei jedem Tastendruck für 10 bis 60 Sekunden ein (zur Einstel-lung dieser Zeit lesen Sie bitte: “Hintergrundbeleuchtung” auf Seite 11).

Bitte beachten Sie:

- Unter Umständen ist nicht jede Funktion Ihrer Origi-nal-Fernbedienung auf der Universal-Fernbedienung direkt verfügbar.

- Insbesondere bei neueren Geräten ist es möglich, dass die Funktionen zunächst unter anderen Tasten als erwartet abgelegt oder gar nicht verfügbar sind.

In diesen Fällen können Sie die Lernfunktion nutzen, um die Funktionen Ihrer Original-Fernbedienung auf die gewünschten Tasten der Universal-Fernbedienung zu übertragen (siehe “Lernfunktion” auf Seite 25).

SHIFT-Funktion

Nach der Programmierung mit einem Gerätecode können die Tasten der Universal-Fernbedienung doppelt belegt sein (mit Ausnahme der Tasten S_(Setup) und MACRO).

Um diese zweite Funktionen zu nutzen, drücken Sie die Taste S (Setup) kurz und anschließend (innerhalb von 15-20 Sekunden) eine der doppelt belegten Funktions- oder Zifferntasten.

Probieren Sie aus, welche zusätzlichen Funktionen eine Taste bei einem bestimmten Gerätecode hat.

Aufnahmen

Die Taste (Aufnahme) muss für eine Aufnahme (z. B. auf Videorecorder, DVD- oder Kassettenrecorder) zweimal ge-drückt werden. Dies dient zum Schutz vor versehentlichen Aufnahmen.

EPG – Elektronisches Programm

Die Taste EPG („EPG“ = „Electronic Program Guide“) hat verschiedene Funktionen, je nachdem, auf welchen Code sie angewendet wird:

Bei TV- und Satellitencodes (z. B. SAT-TV oder DVB-T) öffnet die Taste das elektronische Fernsehprogramm.Bei DVD-Codes öffnet die Taste das Titel-Menü.Bei VCR-Codes können Sie mit der Taste eine Program-mierung vornehmen, sofern Ihr Videorecorder über eine Showview-Funktion verfügt.

Verfügt das Gerät sowohl über eine EPG- als auch über eine Showview-Funktion, so hat die EPG-Funktion Priorität.

Kombi-Geräte bedienen

Kombi-Geräte sind z. B. ein TV-Gerät mit Videorecorder, ein TV-Gerät mit DVD-Player oder ein DVD-Recorder mit Video-recorder. Für Kombi-Geräte gibt es mehrere Möglichkeiten der Steuerung.

Kombi-Geräte mit zwei GerätecodesManche Kombi-Geräte (z. B. ein TV-Gerät mit Videorecorder) benötigen zwei Gerätecodes für jeden Geräteteil. Program-mieren Sie den passenden TV-Code auf der Quellentaste TV und den Code für den Videorecorder auf einer anderen Quel-lentaste. Sie steuern das Kombi-Gerät dann wie zwei sepa-rate Geräte.

Kombi-Geräte mit einem GerätecodeAndere Kombi-Geräte benötigen nur einen Code. Hier müs-sen Sie den Geräteteil, den Sie bedienen möchten, zunächst auswählen.

Beispiel: Das Gerät sei ein kombinierter DVD-Recorder/Vi-deorecorder. Der Gerätecode wurde auf der Quellentaste DVD abgelegt.

Nun steuern Sie den DVD-Teil im Kombi-Gerät an, indem Sie die Quellentaste DVD länger als eine Sekunde ge-drückt halten. Um den Videorecorder im Kombi-Gerät anzusteuern, drücken Sie zunächst kurz die Taste S (Setup) für die SHIFT-Funktion, dann die Quellentaste DVD.

Falls Ihr Kombi-Gerät zwar nur einen Geräteocode benötigt, Sie es aber mit zwei Quellentasten für die beiden Geräteteile bedienen möchten, gehen Sie so vor:

Programmieren Sie den Gerätecode auf zwei Quellenta-sten.Bedienen Sie den einen Geräteteil mit einer der beiden Quellentaste. Nutzen Sie die Lernfunktion (siehe “Lernfunktion” auf Seite 25 ), um die gewünschten Funktionen des anderen Geräteteils auf die andere Quellentaste zu übertragen.

ALLES-AUS-Funktion

Sie können alle vorprogrammierten Geräte gleichzeitig aus-schalten. Gehen Sie wie folgt vor:

1. Drücken zweimal kurz hintereinander die POWER/ALL

OFF-Taste und halten Sie die Taste beim zweiten Ta-stendruck für ca. 3 Sekunden gedrückt.

2. Wenn Sie die Taste loslassen, erscheint ALL OFF und die Ge-räte schalten sich aus.

Einige Geräte lassen sich mit der POWER/ALL OFF-Taste ein- und ausschalten. Solche ausgeschalteten Geräte wer-den, wenn sie ausgeschaltet waren, nach der Durchführung der ALL OFF-Funktion eingeschaltet.

Timer einstellenDie Universal-Fernbedienung verfügt über zwei Timer-Funk-tionen:

einen Sleeptimer für das TV-Ge-rät (automatische Ausschaltung nach 1 bis 90 Minuten); im Display erscheint „Zzz“;vier weitere Timer für selbstdefi-nierte Befehle (z. B. die Um-schaltung auf ein anderes Pro-gramm); im Display erscheint das Glockensymbol.

Sleeptimer ausstellenWenn ein Sleeptimer eingestellt ist („Zzz“ im Display), er-scheint bei den oben beschriebenen Schritten statt des Dis-plays TV SLEEP SET das Display TV SLEEP CLEAR.

Befehlstimer

Für diesen Timer muss die Uhrzeit eingestellt sein.

Mit dem Befehlstimer können Sie eine Funktion programmie-ren, die zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt innerhalb der näch-sten 24 Stunden automatisch ausgeführt wird. Die Befehls-kette kann aus bis zu vier Befehlen bestehen, wobei der erste Befehl immer die Wahl einer Quellentaste sein muss.

Für die anschließenden drei Befehle können folgende Tasten nicht verwendet werden: die Quellentasten, den Joystick (Pfeilrichtungen und OK), MACRO, SETUP, EXIT.

Sie können vier Befehlstimer erstellen (Timer 1, Timer 2, Timer 3, Timer 4).

Wurde der Befehl ausgeführt, wird dieser Timer automatisch gelöscht.

13. Nach dem dritten Befehl er-scheint die Quittierungsmel-dung SUCCESS mit dem Glok-ken-Symbol.

14. Legen Sie die Fernbedienung so ab, dass sie ohne Hin-dernis auf das Gerät gerichtet ist.

Sie können die Programmierung jederzeit mit EXIT abbre-chen.

Befehlstimer löschenWenn ein Befehlstimer eingestellt ist („Glockensymbol im Display“), erscheint bei den oben beschriebenen Schritten statt des Displays TIMER 1 SET das Display TIMER 1 CLEAR.

1. Führen Sie die Schritte 1. bis 5. wie oben beschrieben aus. Es erscheint das Display TIMER 1

LernfunktionSie können Funktionen einer Original-Fernbedienung manu-ell in Ihre Universal-Fernbedienung einspeichern. Die Befehle werden jeweils unter der Quellentaste gespeichert, auf die das Gerät der Original-Fernbedienung programmiert wurde.

Die Universal-Fernbedienung kann bis zu 150 Befehle „ler-nen“.

Hinweise zur Lernfunktion

Benutzen Sie für beide Fernbedienungen neue Batterien.Wenn Sie die Programmierung von Anfang an beginnen – insbesondere nach der Erstinbetriebnahme – , löschen Sie zunächst alle vorgespeicherten Befehle (siehe “Be-fehle für alle Quellentasten löschen” auf Seite 27).Auf jede Quellentaste kann nur eine Original-Fernbedie-nung programmiert werden.Wenn Sie eine Original-Fernbedienung auf eine Quellenta-ste programmieren möchten, löschen Sie zunächst die Befehle dieser Quellentaste (siehe “Befehle für nur eine Quellentaste löschen” auf Seite 27). Ist der Speicher voll, erscheint die Meldung LEARN ER-

ROR. Löschen Sie in diesem Fall gespeicherte Befehle.Jede Programmierung einer Taste kann ca. 3 Sekunden dauern. Lassen Sie die zu lernende Taste nicht los, bevor die Meldung SUCCESS oder LEARN ERROR erscheint.Folgende Tasten können nicht mit Funktionen belegt wer-den: S (Setup), MACRO und alle Quellentasten.Einige Original-Fernbedienungen (für DVD, Videorecorder, SAT) können selbst mit Gerätecodes mancher TV-Marken programmiert werden, um Grundfunktionen am TV-Gerät auszuführen (Lautstärke, Stummschaltung, Kanalsuche). Versuchen Sie bitte nicht, die Funktionen einer Original-Fernbedienung, die wiederum mit dem Code eines ande-ren TV-Geräts programmiert wurden, auf Ihre Universal-Fernbedienung zu übertragen. Es könnte zu Fehlern bei der Programmierung kommen.Machen Sie zuerst einen Versuch, indem Sie zwei oder drei Befehle programmieren und anschließend testen.

Bevor Sie Ihre Befehle einprogrammieren, löschen Sie alle vorhandenen Befehle (siehe “Befehle für alle Quellen-tasten löschen” auf Seite 27).

Führen Sie die Lernfunktion nicht direkt unter einer Niedrigenergielampe durch. Solche Lampen (z. B. Leuchtstoffröhren) können infrarote Lichtanteile bein-halten, die die Lernfunktion beeinflussen können.

1. Legen Sie die beiden Fernbedienungen mit den Infra-Rot-Dioden zueinander in einem Abstand zwischen 15 und 50 mm auf den Tisch. Die Infratotdioden müssen genau aufeinander gerichtet sein.


3. Drücken Sie S drei weitere Male kurz, um das LEARN SETUP aufzurufen.

4. Drücken Sie OK, um den Ler-nen-Modus aufzurufen.

5. Bestätigen Sie wieder mit OK.6. Wählen Sie nun die Quellen-

taste, auf die das Gerät der Ori-ginal-Fernbedienung program-miert wurde.

7. Es folgt die Aufforderung LEARN KEY. Wählen Sie die Ta-ste an der Universal-Fernbedie-nung, auf der die Funktion der Original-Fernbedienung ge-speichert werden soll (nicht: S und MACRO).

8. Nun erscheint die Anzeige LEARNING. Drücken Sie nun die Taste der Original-Fernbe-dienung, deren Funktion auf die Universal-Fernbedienung über-tragen werden soll. Halten Sie diese Taste so lange gedrückt, bis entweder die Meldung SUCCESS oder LEARN ERROR erscheint.

9. Es folgt die Abfrage: LEARN

MORE?. Wenn Sie weitere Lernfunktio-nen ausführen möchten, bestä-tigen Sie mit OK. Es erscheint wieder die Aufforderung LEARN

KEY. Fahren Sie fort wie ab Punkt 7. beschrieben.

Wenn Sie die Lernfunktion beenden möchten, drücken Sie EXIT.

Befehle löschen

Befehle für nur eine Quellentaste löschenRufen Sie den Lernen-Modus auf, wie im vorigen Abschnitt, Schritt 2. bis 4. beschrieben. Fahren Sie fol-gendermaßen fort:

Makros Mit einem Makro können Sie eine Befehlskette speichern, also mehrere Funktionen hintereinander ausführen lassen. Sie können drei Makros programmieren und auf den Ziffern-tasten 1, 2 und 3 ablegen.

Diese drei Zifferntasten haben die zusätzlichen Bezeichnungen TV, VCR, DVD, so dass Sie Makros entsprechend zuordnen können.

Jedes Makro kann bis zu zehn Tastenbefehle umfassen. Ein Makro kann verschiedene Geräte einbeziehen. Auf diese Weise können Sie dann z. B. das TV-Gerät, den gewünsch-ten Sender, den Videorecorder und die Aufnahmefunktion einschalten, indem Sie einfach die Taste MACRO und die gewählte Zifferntaste 1, 2 oder 3 drücken.

Die Tasten S (Setup) und MACRO können für ein Makro nicht verwendet werden.

Wenn Sie die Makro-Programmierung vorzeitig abbrechen möchten, drücken Sie S (Setup). Das Makro wird in diesem Fall nicht gespeichert.

Makros programmieren


2. Drücken Sie S vier weitere Male kurz, um das MACRO SETUP aufzurufen.

3. Drücken Sie OK, um den Mo-dus MACRO SET (Makro einstel-len) aufzurufen.

4. Bestätigen Sie wieder mit OK.5. Wählen Sie nun die Zifferntaste

1, 2 oder 3, unter der das Ma-kro gespeichert werden soll.

6. Es folgt die Abfrage MACRO 1

MODE? (die Ziffer entspricht der vorher gewählten Zifferntaste). Drücken Sie eine Quellentaste für das Gerät, mit dem der Be-fehl beginnen soll.

7. Es folgt die Eingabeaufforde-rung MACRO 1 KEY?. mit der Schrittzählung (02 für den zweiten Schritt). Führen Sie jetzt die Funktion aus, die Sie als Makro speichern möchten. Sie können noch 9 weitere Tasten drücken, wobei Sie auch über die Quellentasten das Gerät wech-seln können.

8. Wenn die Schrittfolge beendet ist, drücken Sie die Taste MACRO, um das Makro zu speichern.Nach Schritt 10 wird das Makro automatisch gespei-chert.

9. Es erscheint die Quittierungs-meldung SUCCESS.

Verzögerung einbauenEs kann sinnvoll sein, eine Zeitverzögerung vor einen Be-fehlsschritt einzubauen, um z. B. eine Aufwärmphase für das TV-Gerät zu berücksichtigen. Die standardmäßige Verzöge-rung zwischen den Infrarot-Signalen beträgt eine halbe Se-kunde.

1. Drücken Sie beim Eingeben der Schritte (siehe Punkt 7. oben) an der Stelle, wo die Zeitverzö-gerung eingebaut werden soll, die PAUSE-Taste. Es erscheint die Abfrage DELAY TIME? (Zeitverzöge-rung?).

2. Drücken Sie eine Zifferntaste entsprechend der Sekunden, um die Sie verzögern möchten (z. B. „3“ für 3 Sekunden Verzö-gerung). Die maximale Verzöge-rung sind 9 Sekunden.

Makro ausführen

1. Um ein Makro auszuführen, drücken Sie im Normalmodus einmal kurz die MAKRO-Taste. Es erscheint die Meldung: MACRO KEY?.

2. Drücken Sie dann innerhalb von 20 Sekunden die Ziffern-taste, unter der das Makro ab-gelegt ist (1, 2 oder 3).

Während das Makro ausgeführt wird, erscheint MACRO 1 (bzw. 2 oder 3) mit dem Sendesymbol.

Falls unter der gewählten Ziffern-taste kein Makro abgelegt ist, er-scheint die Meldung MACRO 1

VOID.

Makro löschen

Führen Sie die Schritte 1. bis 3. wie im Abschnitt “Makros programmie-ren” auf Seite 28 beschrieben aus. Es erscheint das Display MACRO

SET (Makro einstellen).

4. Wählen Sie mit der Pfeilrich-tung den Modus MACRO

CLEAR (Makro löschen).

5. Drücken Sie OK. Es erscheint die Meldung: MACRO KEY?.

6. Drücken Sie die Zifferntaste, unter der das Makro abgelegt ist, das Sie löschen möchten.

8. Bestätigen Sie wieder mit OK. Es erscheinen kurz hintereinan-der die Anzeige PLEASE WAIT und die Quittierungsmeldung SUCCESS.

Universalfunktionen („Punch Through“)Die Universal-Funktionen (auch „Punch Through“-Funktio-nen genannt) ermöglichen Ihnen, bestimmte Funktionen an einem anderen Gerätetyp als dem eingestellten auszufüh-ren. Dies sind die Funktionen Lautstärke, Stummschaltung sowie die Wiedergabefunktionen.

Wiedergabefunktionen

Wenn die Fernbedienung im TV-, SAT- oder Kabel-Betrieb ist (Geräte ohne eigene Abspielfunktion), steuern die Tasten PLAY, STOP, PAUSE, SCHNELL VOR/ZURÜCK und ggf. AUF-NAHME einen angeschlossenen Videorecorder oder DVD-Player oder Videorekorder an. Es braucht nicht vorher die DVD- bzw. VCR-Quellentaste gedrückt zu werden. Es wird immer das zuletzt gewählte Gerät angesteuert.

Diese Punch-Through-Steuerung funktioniert nicht, wenn der einprogrammierte TV-, SAT- oder Kabel-Code seine ei-gene Videorecorderfunktion hat (wie z. B. bei einem TV-Vi-deorecorder-Kombigerät).

Lautstärke/Stummschaltung

Häufig haben bildübertragende Geräte , die an ein TV-Gerät angeschlossen sind (z. B. TV, DVD, VCR, SAT, CBL), keine eigene Lautstärkeregelung.

Wenn die Universal-Fernbedienung gerade ein solches Gerät steuert und die Tasten VOL (Lautstärke) oder ( ) (Stumm-schaltung) werden gedrückt, wird die Lautstärkeregelung auf das TV-Gerät übertragen.

Diese Grundeinstellung des Geräts können Sie ändern (vgl. die folgenden beiden Abschnitte).

Im Folgenden werden die Funktionen Lautstärke/Stummschaltung kurz „VOL/MUTE“ genannt.

Universalfunktionen VOL/MUTE auf einen anderen Gerätetyp programmierenSie können die Fernbedienung so einstellen, dass die Uni-versalfunktionen VOL/MUTE nicht das TV-Gerät, sondern ei-nen anderen Gerätetyp ansteuert. Dieses Gerät muss natür-lich über eine Lautstärkeregelung verfügen.



3. Drücken Sie OK. Es erscheint das VOL/MUTE SETUP.

4. Drücken Sie wieder OK. Es er-scheint das Menü ALL VOL.

SET. Über dieses Menü werden alle VOL/MUTE-Befehle auf ei-nen Gerätetyp, den Sie im nächsten Schritt auswählen, programmiert.

Falls irrtümlich ein Gerät gewählt wurde, das keine eigene Lautstär-keregelung hat, erscheint eine Feh-lermeldung.

Universalfunktion VOL/MUTE für ein bestimmtes Gerät ausschaltenSie können die Universal-Fernbedienung so einstellen, dass sie auf ein bestimmtes Gerät nur dessen eigene VOL/MUTE-Funktionen anwendet. Die „Punch-Through“-Funktion ist da-mit für dieses Geräte ausgeschaltet.

Für den TV-Modus können Sie die Universalfunktion nicht ausschalten. Falls Sie wie im vorherigen Kapitel beschrieben einen anderen Modus für die Universalfunktion VOL/MUTE ausgewählt haben, können Sie auch für diesen Modus die Universalfunktion nicht ausschalten.

FehlerbehebungDas Display bleibt dunkel:

Überprüfen Sie, ob die Batterien der Fernbedienung kor-rekt eingelegt sind und die Polung + /– übereinstimmt.Falls die Batterien zu schwach sind, tauschen Sie diese durch neue aus.

Die Fernbedienung funktioniert nicht:

Überprüfen Sie, ob Ihre Geräte korrekt angeschlossen und eingeschaltet sind.

Es sind mehrere Gerätecodes unter dem Markennamen mei-nes Geräts aufgeführt. Wie ermittle ich den richtigen Geräte-code?

Um den richtigen Gerätecode für Ihr Gerät zu bestimmen, probieren Sie die Codes nacheinander aus, bis die mei-sten Funktionen des Gerätes ordnungsgemäß funktionie-ren.

Die Geräte reagieren nur auf einige Befehle der Fernbedie-nung:

Testen Sie weitere Codes, bis die Geräte auf die Befehle entsprechend reagieren.Wenn keine der beschriebenen Code-Programmierungen zum Erfolg führt, kann es in besonderen Einzelfällen vor-kommen, dass das Gerät nicht kompatibel zu Ihrer Univer-sal-Fernbedienung ist.

Entsorgung

Verpackung

Ihre Universal-Fernbedienung befindet sich zum Schutz vor Transportschäden in einer Verpackung. Verpackungen sind Rohstoffe und somit wiederver-wendungsfähig oder können dem Rohstoffkreislauf zurückgeführt werden.

Gerät

Werfen Sie die Universal-Fernbedienung am Ende ihrer Lebenszeit keinesfalls in den normalen Haus-müll. Erkundigen Sie sich in Ihrer Stadt- oder Ge-meindeverwaltung nach Möglichkeiten einer um-welt- und sachgerechten Entsorgung.

Batterien

Verbrauchte Batterien gehören nicht in den Haus-müll! Sie müssen bei einer Sammelstelle für Altbatte-rien abgegeben werden.
