Experience new technologies live

Components made of fibre composites are the „technology enabler“ for

lightweight construction solutions in numerous industries. Automation

plays a decisive role in reducing production costs. As a result, production

decision-makers have to deal increasingly with composite manufacturing

methods.

Obtain information about the suitable automation solutions for series

production of fibre composite components at the new special exhibition

“Automated Composite Production”. At AUTOMATICA, you will find

a complete CFRP production chain from knitted carbon fibre to finished

components. All relevant process steps are depicted: from textile semi-

finished products, cutting, preforming, quality assurance, RTM (resin

injection / curing) and all the way to reworking.

SEMAT Composite Symposium

The second Symposium for Automation in Composite Technology will

Batteriefertigung und Automatisierungstechnik

Batterien und elektrische Energiespeicher spielen beim Hype-Thema

Elektromobilität die Schlüsselrolle – sie bestimmen Leistung, Zuverlässig-

keit und Preis des Systems maßgeblich.

Die Herausforderung lautet daher: Neue Automatisierungstechnologien

zur Minimierung der Produktionskosten müssen in die Groß-Serien-

fertigung übergehen – nur so kann langfristig kosteneffizient gefertigt

werden. Die Elektronikfertigung hat das in einem atemberaubenden

Tempo vorgemacht.

aufzugreifen – und Lösungen, Kosten- und Zuverlässigkeitsargumente

darzustellen. Die Sonderschau wird täglich in drei kurzen Vorträgen von

maximal 20 Minuten vorgestellt. Erfahren Sie hier z. B. mehr zur Beschich-

tung der Elektroden, Zusammenbau der Zelle, Formation und Prüfung, Modul-

und Packmontage, Montage im Bodenmodul sowie zum Gesamtkonzept

Battery manufacturing and automation technology

Batteries and electric energy storage play the key role in the big topic of

the day. They determine performance, reliability and price of the system.

Consequently, the challenge is: New automation technologies for mini-

mizing production costs must be possible in large series production.

They can only be produced cost-efficiently in this way. Electronic manu-

facturing has led the way in breath-taking speed.

Experience the complete production process of a battery cell at the

special exhibition “Battery Manufacturing and Automation

Technology”. It will illustrate the steps of electrode manufacturing, cell

assembly as well as formation and testing with exciting exhibits and

novel types of collaboration between companies. Approx. 20 partners –

all experts in their industries – are participating as exhibitors.

In close cooperation with:

the German Engineering Federation (VDMA), Robotics + Automation, the

WZL of Rhineland-Westphalia Technical University (RWTH), Aachen, and

leading companies.

Special exhibition series of talks

The series of talks for the special “Battery Manufacturing and

Automation Technology” provides key staff, especially from NRW, with

a platform, which deals with the topic of battery production from the

viewpoint of automation and shows solutions, costs and arguments for

reliability. The special exhibitions will be presented daily in three short talks

Regional Know-how in Focus

The automation competence from NRW is the focus of the series of

talks with the same name. The regional competence will be presented

using examples from exhibiting companies, colleges and networks. Learn

in short talks of up to 20 minutes about novelties, exhibits and the

automation competence made in NRW.

Germany meets Russia

Visit the “First Symposium of the German-Russian Robotics

Initiative”. On 24 May, five top-rate speakers from Russian first-class

institutions will present their current results in the area of robotics and

applications as well as five leading German scientists from the service

robotics sector. Approximately 100 participants, especially from Russia,

are expected. The Symposium is the concluding event of the „German-

Russian Year of Education, Science and Innovation“, which was

sponsored by the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research

(BMBF).
