Important recommendations

This manual contains instructions for operating the model “PUREBEAU”. For making best use of it and to avoid any risk of malfunction or damage to the device, every operator and/or person responsable for maintenance, repair and service control should read this manual carefully and keep to it.

Liability exclusion

This device is exclusively intended for the creation of PERMANENT MAKE-UP. The operation is only allowed to authorized medical personnel, cosmeticians and trained experts. In case of serious infectious diseases (AIDS, hepatitis etc.) and haemophilia of the client, a treatment is contraindicated. The manufacturer does not assume liability for any failure to comply with the operation instructions according to this manual or for any misuse.

getting started ● unit operation ● precautions The device has been manufactured in compliance with the relevant German VDE- safety rules and supplied to the customer in perfect technical conditions. Only connect this device to properly installed mains power sockets. The mains voltage must always correspond to the primary level marked on the identification plate of the power supply unit. Never try to open the device and repair it yourself. Any maintenance or repair must be carried out by fully qualified technicians, authorized therefore by the manufacturer. For trouble free use do only operate this device indoors. Switch off the device immediatly and protect it from improper and/or unauthorized use in any case of danger or malfunction, such as:

• visible defects of the device or its accessories; • performance faults; • storage under unfavorable conditions for an extended period of time; • damage in transit and/or heavy mechanical stress (push, drop etc.) during

transportation. Please refer in such a case to “...requesting service”. Make sure that the instrument will be always placed on smooth surfaces and operated only under supervision of trained persons.

Connect the power supply unit to a 230 V power outlet before inserting the plug of the flexible cord into its connector located on the rear of the control unit (12). Thus the POWER key LED (8) is lit blue, indicating the instrument now to be set to the stand by mode. Then insert the plug of the handpiece lead into the corresponding connector (10). When the POWER key (8) is pressed, the device is ready for operation. The LED I (3) above the button (5) lightes up and the figure appearing on the 3-digit-display (2) indicates the working frequency. Operation speed can be changed in steps of ten between 90 and 250, e. g. to be inreased by pressing the keys + (6); and - (7) to be reduced, respectively. Press the DRIVE key (1) to start handpiece operation and its LED indicates the handpiece being switched on. Press the same key and the handpiece will be switched off. The device can be also operated by a foot switch. Therefore insert the plug of the pedal cord into the foot switch connector (11). Now the handpiece will be in operation as long as the foot switch is held down. Releasing the switch, operation stops immediatly. For using a second handpiece, insert the plug of its lead into the corresponding connector on the rear (9). To change from handpiece I to operate handpiece II press the selector key (5) and the LED II (4) will light up. Press the same key (5) for a vice versa handpiece operation. This changeover will be indicated by the LED (3), lighting up again. A simultaneous operation of both handpieces is not possible. ATTENTION! Before starting operation of this device put all its cords into the slits at the rear of the control unit and the apparatus´ feets.

servicing and care oft he device Before servicing the device disconnect it from the mains. Clean the unit from time to time gently with a lint-free cloth (probabely lightly moistened with a readily soluble antiseptic, e.g. 50% 1-propanol solution in water). All anodized surfaces of the device and its accessories should have to be cleaned with LYSETOL MED. This cleaner is DGHM registered and complies with the requirements of hygiene. Before using other antiseptics, please pay attention to the corresponding user instructions and/or ask your supplier for information.

before requesting service ● repair ● complaint In case of malfunction check first, if the power supply unit is properly connected to the corresponding line voltage mains outlet. If the device still proves to be defective, please contact your next authorized service workshop or send it back to the manufacturer for a general technical check up or repair. Complaints have to be directed to your supplier.
