We are so blessed to write to you from language school here in Quito. We havebeen here over two weeks already. School is very interesting. Thats just a goodway to say we dont have a clue! Each day gets better though. We have been onseveral field trips with the school, which has helped us learn the culture as well as

work on our language skills. We have also ventured out on our own, which isnecessary if we are going to put into practice what we are learning in school. Wehave taken several taxi rides, bought groceries and eaten out by ourselves. With the

people being so gracious to us and our hand gestures (pointing at signs), we aresurviving.

We are really proud of the girls for adapting to their new home without complaining.God has given them (and us) a special grace since we left home. They have madesome really good friends. Mary Kellen has even slept over with the daughter of amissionary family that lives here at the seminary. Vivi Kate thought about it, but

eventually opted to stay with us.

Last week we were fortunate to meet Patti

Sue Arnold. Patti Sue is the director of Casade Fe. She was in Quito with Ruth, a five

month old who is awaiting heart surgery.Please pray for Ruth as she continuesfighting through pneumonia, Down

Syndrome and heart complications. Pleasepray for Patti Sue and all those at Casa de Fe

who do so much for so many with so little!

Thank you all for the love and support you have shown us. We know that the Lordprovides everything we need. He continues to do so through all of you. Please keeppraising Him for the goodness, grace and love that He freely gives to us all.
