The months of July and

August were quite eventful. We com-

pleted language school on July 26th, metthe staff of Casa de Fe at a

retreat at the end of July,

and then moved to Shell on

August 3rd. When we

arrived at our house, wewere met by staff members

to lend a helping hand.That was a real blessing.

Our house is nicer than we deserve. Aprilhad it looking like home in one after-

noon. We already hosted our first visitors,

Susie and Doug (Aprils dad). We reallyenjoyed them, and cant wait until they

come again. Their visit started off a little rocky as

their plane was divertedto Guayaquil due to dense fog. After refueling, theyarrived in Quito with no problems. They were sched-

uled to arrive at 10:20 p.m., but ended up arriving at

2:00 a.m. The next day we toured Quito and visitedfriends before

returning to Shell.

The girls started Nate Saint Memorial School on Au-gust 22nd. They were so excited! This is the first time

Vivi Kate has gone to school, full day. Everyone at

the school is so nice. I think there are only around 40students (grades K-8). Mary Kellen said all the girls

at school were able to squeeze into one picnic table

and eat lunch together.

We have also started work at Casa de Fe. We are excited to serve at such a

special place. Thank you for your continued prayers and support. There is

much work to do and we are blessed that you are with us on this mission.
