FELDER Scoring unit

Scoring unitFor chip free cutting of laminated panels. The saw blade can be mechani-cally or electrically driven and can be set in both height and lateral position.

Classic: The electrically driven scoring saw can be switched on indepen-dently. The scoring saw blade is adjusted vertically and laterally by hand.

Automatic: The vertical adjustment of the electrically driven scoring saw blade is easy to position electrically using a rotary switch, only lateral adjust-ment is manual. When the scoring saw blade is switched on, it automati-cally rises into the previously set vertical position and sinks entirely below the circular saw table again once switched off.

The “X”-configuration of the roller bearings optimally distributes workpie-ce weight to all sides. With a roller bearing system the full width of the bearing is in contact with the guiding track. Mitre indexing system with length compensation(Optional for “1300” and “1500” outriggers)No reading errors due to scales and vernier. No time-wasting with arduous approximations of angle values. The advantage of the Felder degree index is that the stop is set and fixed wit-hout losing time or making reading errors. Highly precise index positions allow for the accurate production of polygons, e.g. 5.625º (32 sided), 11.25º (16 sided), 22.5º (8 sided). In addition, index positions at 15º, 20º, 25º, 30º, 35º, 40º and 45º can be used when working in slide to cut or push to cut mode. Every index position is equipped with a length compensator. The highly precise Fel-der degree index system is adjusted at the factory. Every index position also has individual fine adjustment. This cost effective index system inte-grates well into the machine design and will increase your productivity.

Precision mitre guide on the “1100” outrigger tableThe “precision mitre index system” on the outrigger table of the professional model allows you to freely select preset positioning stops at increments of 5°, but also at 22.5°, by means of the index locating pin from +45° to –45°.

Automatic rip fenceThe electric motor positioned rip fence running on a maintanence free lineal guiding system with ball bearing bushings moves quickly and accurately to within a tenth of a mil-limeter of the entered cutting width. The rip fence can be tilted away at any point along the full rip length and guarantees perfect cuts with a maximum width of 1250 mm.

When working with narrow and thin cuts of wood with the saw blade at an angle, the rip fence can be placed face down to improve opera-tor comfort and avoid collission with the saw blade. The rip fence can also be tilted underneath the table.

The aluminium rip fence can be swung away completely.

Optional: rip fence with electronic digital displayThe integration of the electronic digital display on the rip fence allows for the reading of the cutting width to one tenth of a millimetre. The display can be rotated up to 90° to suit the working position. Additional features, such as fine progressive adjustments in increments of 0.1mm make precision cutting possible.

Accurate angular adjustment with the mitre unit index system and length compensation.No reading errors due to scales and vernier. No time-wasting with ardu-ous approximations of angle values. The advantage of the Felder degree index is that the stop is set and fixed without losing time or making reading errors. Highly precise index positions allow for the accurate production of polygons, e.g. 5.625º (32 sided), 11.25º (16 sided), 22.5º (8 sided). In addition, index positions at 15º, 20º, 25º, 30º, 35º, 40º and 45º can be used when working in slide to cut or push to cut mode. Every index position is equipped with a length compensator. The highly precise Felder degree index system is adjusted at the factory. Every index position also has indivi-dual fine adjustment. This cost effective index system integrates well into the machine design and will increase your productivity.

The precision fence “240”The spindle fence can accommodate tooling with a maximum diameter of 230 mm and has a –5 to +25 mm fine adjustment system on the spindle fence outfeed side. The dust extrac-tion is carried out via an integrated extraction port at the rear. Quick changeover times and high levels of repeatability when changing between edge material - the Felder „Quick-Set“ System saves time and reduces mistakes. The highlight of the G 660 is the diamond tipped premilling cutters ensuring perfect material edges: Two operation controlled spiral milling cutters turning in opposing directions achieve tear free edges when processing laminated material.

The corner rounding unit on the G 670 ensures that no subsequent processing is required ensuring increased productivity. The solid cast iron construction with linear guides and diamond cutters guarantee a perfect finish on workpieces with edge material from 0.4 - 3 mm in thickness and 45 mm in height.

The machine is ready to operate after only 12 minutes! The fine adjustable glue roller ensures that the correct amount of hot glue is applied to the differing types of edging material. PUR (Polyurethane resin) hot melt adhesive granulate may be used in accordance with the glue manufacturer‘s processing guidelines.The gluepot can be changed without tools in record time, this allows straight forward glue or colour change.

Edge feed and guillotine scissors for coiled and strip material up to 60 mm thickdepending on the requirement, coiled material 0.4 to 3.0 mm thick and strip material up to 6 mm (8 mm option) thick can be used for workpie-ces up to 60 mm in thickness. The workpiece is carried through the machine on an endless disc belt made of natural rubber. Its endless design means that it has no weak points and thus has a long service life. Drilling headsThe vertical drill heads are each equipped with 23 drilling spindles set every 32 mm. The vertical drill heads which are inte-grated into the positionable panel supports, can be positioned anywhere along the X-axis. The locking of the panel supports is carried out pneumatically and can be done with one hand. An integrated LEd digital indicator ensures it is simple to set and accurate to one-tenth of a millimetre. When required, the vertical drill heads can be rotated by 90°, with end stops ensu-ring an exact 90° positioning. The setting of the boring depth can be set at any depth up to 50 mm, with the setting shown clearly on the digital counter.

The horizontal drilling head is equipped with 23 drilling spindles set every 32 mm. The height adjustment is carried out using a hand wheel equipped with a digital counter that is accurate to one tenth of a millimetre. The maximun boring depth is 65 mm.

Machine fence and stopsThe aluminium fence with a length of 3000 mm is equipped with four pneumatic stops. Both stops closest to the machine are equipped with digital LEd displays, that ensure a simple and quick setup and an accu-racy of one tenth of a millimetre. The other 2 stops are positioned using the scale on the aluminium fence and can be set accurately to one tenth of a millimetre using the nonius scale and magnifying glass. The stops run on ball bearings, allowing them to be positioned quick and easily. The pneumatic stops can be switched on or off independantly depending on when they are required.

Workpiece clampBoth workpiece pressure clamps are equipped with rotatable ball bearings and can be positioned exactly above the vertical drill heads. Positioning and clamping is car-ried out conveniently and can be done with one hand.

Chisel mortise device for square and right-angle chisels. When slotting and tenoning, the slot does not have to be rounded off any more as the slot is chiselled square. This eliminates time-consuming handwork.

The mitre fence can be clamped to the machine table within seconds using the single-hand lever clamp. The most useful angles, –45°; –22.5°; 0°; 22.5° and 45° can be preselected via a grid. All other angle settings can be selected via the scale.

The dual-sided adjustable longitu-dinal stops are advantageous for serial drilling or mortising work. The longitudinal stops are adjusted to the desired dimension (max. 2500 mm) with large-handled clamping levers.

4 spacing bars with the following hole distances, 16 mm; 22 mm; 25 mm and 32 mm are delivered as a standard with the dowel drilling equipment. Additional spacing templates are available on special order. Conveni-ent single-hand lever operation and ergonomically designed features ensure easy operation.

The MVP 300 membrane press is perfect for the pressing of veneer panels, curved workpieces, laminates and similar materials.
