    Erste Schritte

    Über dieses Handbuch In diesem Handbuch wird erklärt, wie Sie einen Catalyst Express 500 Switch zum ersten Mal konfigurieren. Zur Basiskonfiguration gehört das Zuweisen der Netzwerkeinstellungen und das Einrichten eines Passworts für den Switch.

    Express Einrichtung laufen lassen

    Schritt 1 Für die Einrichtung des Switches brauchen Sie folgende Ausrüstungsgegenstände:

    • Einen PC mit installiertem Windows 2000 oder XP. • Einen Internet Browser (Internet Explorer 5.5, 6.0, Netscape 7.1 oder höher) bei dem

    JavaScript aktiviert ist. • Ein gerades oder ein gekreuztes Ethernetkabel der Kategorie 5, um den PC an den Switch

    anzuschließen. Sie sollten Popup-Blocker oder die Proxyeinstellungen in ihrem Browser, sowie jegliche kabellosen Clients, die auf Ihrem PC laufen, deaktivieren.

    Schritt 2 Versichern Sie sich, dass keine Anschlüsse zum Switch verbunden sind.

    Schritt 3 Stecken Sie das Netzkabel vom Switch ein.

    Wenn der Switch eingesteckt ist, beginnt ein Boottest (POST). Der Test dauert ungefähr 1 Minute. Während des POST-Tests blinken die LED-Anzeigen vom Port und dem SYSTEM. Wenn der POST-Test abgeschlossen wurde, schaltet die SYSTEM LED-Anzeige auf durchgängiges Grün.

    Schritt 4 Warten Sie bis die SETUP LED-Anzeige grün blinkt.

    Wenn der POST-Test abgeschlossen wurde und die SYSTEM LED-Anzeige grün leuchtet, fängt die SETUP LED-Anzeige an, grün zu blinken. Der Switch ist nun bereit für die Konfiguration. (Wenn die SETUP LED-Anzeige aufhört zu blinken, können Sie trotzdem mit dem nächsten Schritt fortfahren.)
