Grenada, offiziell Staat Grenada (englisch State of Grenada), ist eine Insel der Kleinen Antillen, die zu den Inseln über dem Winde gehört. Der Inselstaat bildet einen eigenständigen Mitgliedstaat des Commonwealth of Nations. Die Insel liegt zwischen der Karibik und dem Atlantik, etwa 200 km nordöstlich der Küste Venezuelas und südlich von Saint Vincent und den Grenadinen.Der Staat besteht aus mehreren Inseln der Inselgruppe der Grenadinen, einem Teilarchipel der kleinen Antillen, von denen die Insel Grenada selbst die größte ist; kleinere Inseln sind Carriacou, Petite Martinique, Ronde Island, Caille Island, Diamond Island, Large Island, Saline Island, Les Tantes und Frigate Island. Der nördlich angrenzende Teil der Grenadinen gehört zum Nachbarstaat St. Vincent und die Grenadinen. Der Großteil der Bevölkerung lebt auf der Hauptinsel Grenada, wo auch die Hauptstadt St. George’s liegt, sowie die Städte Grenville und Gouyave. Die größte Siedlung auf den kleineren Inseln ist Hillsborough auf Carriacou.

Grenada is an island country and commonwealth realm consisting of the island of Grenada and six smaller islands at the southern end of the Grenadines in the southeastern Caribbean Sea. Grenada is located northwest of Trinidad and Tobago, northeast of Venezuela, and southwest of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.Grenada is also known as the „Island of Spice“ because of the production of nutmeg and mace crops of which Grenada is one of the world's largest exporters. Its size is 344 square kilometres (133 sq mi), with an estimated population of 110,000. Its capital is St. George's. The national bird of Grenada is the critically endangered Grenada Dove.
