Ever since Carl Stahl was established in 1880, change hasbeen an integral part of our corporate culture. What beganas a rope-making facility is today a global enterprise withhighly specialised products for the broadest range ofsectors and many different shareholdings. Our sustainablesuccess can be attributed to the fact that we have alwaystailored our actions to the current economic requirements.

By restructuring the global enterprise and creating new com-panies on the basis of our three divisions (lifting equipment,architecture and technocables), we are correctly respondingto the fundamental way in which the times and markets arechanging. Carl Stahl GmbH will act as a ‘single umbrella’ forthe three companies and the shareholdings. The internationaldepartments will be assigned to the individual companiesover time.

The new, simple structures enable us to work more flexiblyand efficiently. Individual requirements can be identified atan early stage and suitable solutions offered. Die Zahlen belegen es: Produkte von Carl Stahl sind weltweitgefragt. Seit Jahren gehen die Zahlen bezüglich Umsatz,Standorten und Mitarbeitern kontinuierlich nach oben. Vorallem die neunziger Jahre standen bei Carl Stahl im Zeicheneines rasanten Wachstums, das bis heute anhält. Der Umsatzstieg von 1990 bis heute von umgerechnet knapp 30 MillionenEuro auf 294,5 Millionen Euro. Mit dazu beigetragen hat eineErweiterung der Produkt- und Dienstleistungspalette, diewiederum zur Erschließung neuer Märkte und Zielgruppenführte.

Durch Zukäufe und Übernahmen sowie die Gründung vonZweigwerken verzehnfachte sich die Zahl der Standorte welt-weit in den letzten vierzig Jahren. Der sprunghafte Anstiegzwischen 1972 und 1997 erklärt sich durch die Gründungzahlreicher Tochtergesellschaften im Ausland sowie in denneuen Bundesländern. Heute ist Carl Stahl mit 67 Standortenauf drei Kontinenten vertreten.

Sales figures proof that there is a strong demand for Carl Stahlproducts all over the world. In recent years figures regardingturnover, subsidiaries and staff have been continuously rising.Especially in the nineties the company grew rapidly, and thegrowth still continues today. From 30 million in 1990 thecompany turnover soared to 294,5 million today. A widerrange of products and services has contributed considerablyto this success and also allowed the development of newmarkets and target groups.

The number of Carl Stahl locations worldwide multipliedtenfold in the last 40 years mainly by acquisitions andtake-overs, but also by founding new subsidiaries. The jumpbetween 1972 and 1997 is due to the foundation of many newlocations abroad but also in former East Germany. Today CarlStahl serves customers from 67 locations on three continents.
