    Eery summer, non-prot group Heal the Bay wraps the garbage cans o Santa Monica Beach witha message to keep the beaches clean. We saw the wraps as an interactie opportunity or beachgoers to go beyond the sand and learn how they can do een more to keep their beach clean.

    SMART CANS

    Users scan a QR code on the trash can and can get lie water quality conditions by geolocating thephone, as well as learn about upcoming eents, beach cleanups and City O Santa Monica touristinormation. The cans went social too, with streaming Instagram photos taken at the beach and anaggregated Twitter with the latest rom around Santa Monica.
