属于公共交通系统,他们会通知Chown接送客人的时间;而我们则无权
对此进行干预。Handydart有时会根据情况派发的士(Taxicabs)接送客
人。对此,他们无需提前询问Chown。对于接送情况的变化,Handydart可
能会根据你们提供的联系号码,电话通知您或您的家人。在交通高峰
期,或是天气出现异常的情况下,Handydart早上接载客人的时间大约在
9:15至11:00之间。
很遗憾,Chown无法对班车(Handydart)的具体接载时间做出预计和
安排。如果您及您的家人对此有疑虑,建议直接拨打Handydart电话604-
575-6600,或是客服778-452-2889,留下您的姓名及联系电话。

Hello All;
As we have had a wonderful sunny hot summer I think we will appreciate the
Fall days with some rain...although not too much.
I would like to update you about Handydart (HD). HD comes under TransLink
and advises Chown on the pick up times and take home times of all clients. We
do not have any control of this. Sometimes HD may use Taxicabs and do not
always let Chown know that this is happening. They will call the registered
contact number (which is the client’s number). With high traffic volumes and
unpredictable weather some days the morning pick up times may be late
9:15—11:00.
Unfortunately, Chown is unable to fast tract your ride; Perhaps if you or your
family member are concerned, may I suggest that you phone HD directly 604-
575-6600 or Customer Service; 778-452-2889 leaving your Concern, Name,
and Contact number.

There are many health benefits that come from eating eggs but the main
health benefit is the source of protein that it provides. More than half the
protein of an egg is found in the egg white along with vitamin B2 and lower
amounts of fat and cholesterol than the yolk. The egg whites are rich in vita-
min D, B6, B12, and minerals like copper, zinc and iron. Egg yolks contain
more fatty substance and cholesterol.
One large egg contains: 78 calories| 6.3g protein| 5.3g fat| 1.6g saturated
fat| 212mg cholesterol|

Life History 人生故事
Mr. Lee & Mrs. Lee By Helen
Mr. Lee & Mrs. Lee were both born in
Guangdong, China; and have been
married for 70 yrs. Mr. Lee calls him-
self “cowboy” as he grew up in a small village. After ten years’
service in the Navy, Mr. Lee worked as a professional craftsman,
designing and making different styles of furniture. After their
marriage, Mrs. Lee stopped working as an accountant to look
after the family.
The Lees emigrated to Canada in 1968; he quickly found employ-
ment a shipyard using his craftsman skills.
Mr. Lee and Mrs. Lee miss China, even after 40 years living in
Canada; they have vivid memories; However they enjoy the
peaceful living style in Vancouver. Mr. Lee and Mrs. Lee have visit-
ed many places in the States and Canada in their spare time; Mr.
Lee clearly remembers how cold it was when he was in Calgary,
and stated “40 degrees below zero is really cold.”
李先生和李太太都出生在中国广东
省,两人结婚已近70载。因为生长在
乡村,李先生戏称自己是“牛仔”;
在海军服役十年后,李先生凭借着一身好手艺成为了一名专业木
匠,精通中西各款家私的设计和制作。李太太中学毕业后在广州
从事会计工作。成家后李先生勤勉工作,李太太安心做全职太
太,照顾家人。
1968年,李先生带领全家人移民到了加拿大。因为出色的木
工能力,他很快在一家船厂找到了工作,为家人的稳定生活提供
了保障。
移民几十年,李先生和李太太还是对中国念念不忘,谈起儿
时家乡的往事依然历历在目。但是他们也越来越喜欢和习惯温哥
华简单而平静的生活,闲暇时,他们会去美国和加拿大各地旅
行,李先生至今仍记得在卡尔加里经历过的零下40度严寒,他说
“那真的是太冻了!”

October 29th is World Stroke Day! A stroke is when the blood supply to part of the brain is reduced; as a result the brain cells start to die due to the lack of oxygen and nutrients.
Symptoms to watch out for:
1. Trouble with seeing through one or both eyes: Your vision may be blurred or blackened.
2. Paralysis or numbness of the face, arm or leg: You may have sudden weak-ness or numbness of the face, arms or legs. This weakness typically occurs to one side of the body. Try raising both arms in the air and see if one side falls down. Also try smiling and see if one side of your face droops down.
3. Trouble with understanding and speaking: You may slur your words or have a hard time understanding.
4. Trouble with walking: You may experience loss of balance or dizziness.
5. Headaches: You may experience a severe headache accompanied by vom-iting, dizziness or altered consciousness.
Seek medical attention if you experience any of these symptoms, even if they fluctuate.

需要注意的相关症状:
1. 视力模糊或变黑。
