• Fundraising is not about money, it’s about addressing unmet needs and synergy in your school.

• Offer a clear, direct proposal that everyone can relate to.

• Present your school’s “image” clearly and consistently.

Notes To Remember:

• ALL Fundraisers, whether it is PTA, PTO, Booster Club, etc. must be reviewed and approvedby Purchasing

• A fundraiser agreement must be completed for EACH and EVERY sale– (School-Level) Prefer Principal signature; however, Assistant Principal can sign too– (District-Level) Kendra Goodman, CPPO, CPPB, Purchasing Agent

• W-9 form MUST be on file in Purchasing

• Profit earned cannot be spent on staff; must benefit the students

• JLA – If anyone is on campus while students are present; collecting money on our behalf, they must be fingerprinted

• Prizes must be “family oriented,” i.e. Classroom pizza party, family movie night, family portraits, etc. (All Prize programs MUST be reviewed)

• Safety of students: No door-to-door, ALL prizes must be reviewed/approved (including safety “transporting students,” i.e. no limo rides, party buses)

Fundraising Guidelines

• Fundraiser form should always be utilized for:

Projects where products are purchased from a vendor who will be shipping merchandise to your school

Provides commissions or prizes

Provides a pricing structure that is referenced by a catalog or ordering form.

• Exempt from using the form are:

Pennies for St. Jude

cheerleading team selling a spirit chain

school club conducting a car wash

Not contracting with a company
