• KEKB läuft noch bis zum 25. Dez. 2006• Variante 1: Kein Einbau der crab cavities während des
winter shutdowns– KEKB startet wieder am 11. Jän. 2007– Betrieb bis zum Ende des japanischen Fiskaljahres
(31. März) ist aus budgetären Gründen aber nicht gesichert• Variante 2: Einbau der crab cavities
– Noch kein klarer Zeitplan, aber kein Beam zumindest bis Mitte Feb. 2007
– Danach machine study im März keine 2007er Daten für die Sommer-Konferenzen

• Idee: Transversale Schwingung der bunches anregen, damit bunches trotz endlichem Kreuzungswinkel frontal kollidieren

Super-B
• Die japanische Entscheidung zu Super-B (Upgrade von Belle und KEKB) soll noch in diesem (Fiskal-)Jahr fallen
• Schicksals-Jahr für Belle, viele national japanische und internationale workshops zur Zukunft der Hochenergiephysik im allgemeinen und der B-Physik im speziellen (nächster workshop: BNM2006 II, Dez. 18-19, Nara)
• Letztlich eine politische Entscheidung: “Konservative” (Super-B) gegen “Ehrgeizige” (ILC in Japan)
