AIR-board® acoustic panels are in compliance and conform to the United States Model Building Codes, Uniform Building Code / International Building Code (UBC/IBC) Chapter 26 “Light Transmitting Plastic” for fire behavior and smoke development. UBC / IBC Chapter 26 have been es-tablished to provide flammability and smoke development criteria for building applications using acrylic, PET, polycarbonate and PVC type ma-terial (thermoplastics). Under Chapter 26, approved plastics must meet all criteria and PASS each test as C1 / CC1 fire classification.

Das Sandwich-Element bestehend aus mikroperforierten lichtdurchlässigen Deckschichten und einem farblosen Wabenkern, ist bis zu 60% lichtdurch-lässig, wirkt in einem hohen Grad schallabsorbierend, zeichnet sich durch ein sehr geringes Gewicht bei gleichzeitig hoher Steifigkeit aus und ist darüber hinaus schwer entflammbar (B s1 d0 – EN13501-1).
