A Heroic Salute to PerunthalaivarKamaraj

Let us construct a massive memorial to PerunthalaivarKamaraj.

It is the dream o Tamilnadu; the dream o the nation and the

dream o the millions o hearts all over the world that sing the

praise o this inimitable leader. The memorial which will ulill

their dreams is not going to be just an ediice but a tribute o

gratitude that we pay to Perunthalaivar.

It is an undeniable act that a memorial to Perunthalaivar will

deinitely be a well-liked one. The prominence would be more

i such a memorial is built on the holy land o this righteous

souls birth.

This grand memorial or Peruntahalivar, the Gem o Mankind

is to be constructed on the Madurai-Tirunelveli National

Highway, 7 kilometres ahead o Viruthunagar opposite to

Kamaraj Engineering College on a plot o land stretching upto

12 acres.

The gorgeous location ofPerunthalaivar Kamarajs memorial

The memorial o Perunthalaivar Kamaraj, the widely acclaimed

King Maker is to be built on a plot o land stretching upto

12 acres, located at the entrance o Virudhunagar. With theNational Highway No.7 at the west and a railway track at the

east, the plot measuring 220 metres long on the North and

210 metres broad on the East will be a two minute east to the

eyes o travelers plying on the national highway and by train

as well.

Mega Project

The aim o this huge project is to combine our ancient

cultural heritage and modernity in constructing an imposing

structure that would be the largest memorial to Kamarajar,

the indeatigable worker and skillul organizer. The memorial

which will keep pace with evolving trends in architecture will

spread the ame o Perunthalaivar.

Symbol of Ideology

Whenever we recall this altruistic man o action who is

affectionately reerred to as Perunthalaivar, the oremost

thought that lashes across our mind is the indelible

description o him as a great man who opened our eyes to the

value o education. The meditation hall designed in the orm

o human eye will render lie to this ideology.

Central Arena

A statue o this genius who missed out ormal education and

ater when he entered mainstream public lie strived to provide

good education to people, will adorn the central arena o this

memorial. The statue portrays our great leader affectionately

holding on to two students on his either side.

The Central Atrium

This central open space will give you a 360 degrees view o the

peaceul landscape o the memorial where a green canopy o

shady trees and divine plants like Thulasi will ind a place.

Water Bodies

A beautiul pond will be constructed in the north east part

considered suitable to hold water. It will be ideal or visitors to

rest enjoying the peaceul ambience. Strategically positioned

right opposite the conerence hall, this pond will be acomorting attraction.

Restaurant

To appease the appetite and tedium o th e passing by

travelers and to afford them an opportunity to enjoy a visit

to the memorial, mega multi-cuisine restaurants have been

planned. Food apart, this place will offer acilities like roo

top restaurant, ample parking space and comortable waiting

lounge all in a lush, green setting.

Statue Museum

An elevated platorm where a statue museum acing the

national highway is to be accommodated will be built in the

south west direction that is said to house the power o land.

Around 150 statues o exemplary leaders who have dedicated

their lives to the welare o humanity are to decorate this place.

Replica of Kamarajars house

A replica o the humble dwelling o Perunthalaivar in his

hometown Viruthu patti village will be created here.

Multi-purpose Conference Hall

A multi-purpose conerence hall, equipped with state-o

the-art technology will be built to afford an ideal ambience

or several important conerences, symposiums, seminars,

training sessions and youth camps. This will be ully equipped

with a separate entrance, speciic parking lots and security.

Meditation hall

Located in a sprawling, 40,000 sq.f. space, t his meditation

hall will be so uniquely constructed and will not only

afford immense solace but will also have special, attractive

eatures. Equipped with a lif, exclusive entrance, audio visual

arrangements, and air conditioning this hall will also showcase

the salient eatures o the memorial. Adequate space to seat

40 members, a video show o Perunthalaivars lie and a stage

or cultural perormances are the added utilitarian eatures o

this hall.

The entrance o this meditation hall will have a splendid

natural landscape with an inlaid route to take visitors to

the exhibition hall; this hall will display paintings, portraits,

archives, video clippings, audio CDs depicting Perunthalaivars

lie. When you walk past all these, you will encounter the wall,

engraved with motivational and inspirational quotes, capable

o taking you to a higher plane in your existence. The light o

stairs at the end will lead you to the Meditation Hall.

The Eternal Flame

In the south East direction, the seat o the power o ire a

40 f. high pillar will be erected to hold an eternal Flame. To

prevent environmental hazards and conserve energy, this

lamp will be ueled by natural bio uels and will be on with no

break whatsoever. Just around this lamp, there will be an openauditorium accommodating around 300 seats. This will be

ideal or a lag hoisting event, small meetings and small scale

events.

This 40 eet pillar holding the eternal lame is bound to attract

the attention o National Highway travelers as well as south

bound passengers travelling via Madurai. This immortal light

will be a welcome sign beckoning such visitors.
