Kevin Lahti is an aspiring graphic designer and illustrator and collec tor o obscure acts. Having recently completed his BFA in Interio

Architecture rom the University o North Carolina at Greensboro. During his time at the university Kevin routinely undertook resp

or graphic design and branding or various projects in addition to his education in aspects o design. He was also responsible or des

graphic and printed materials or several design competitions entered by his peers inc luding a Mock Firm competition in Chicago wh

university took home several accolades.

In his senior year o university Kevin worked under a graphic designer working on projects or a local non prot. Under the supervis

designer he redesigned all the collateral documents including business cards, letterhead, etc. During this time he also produced two

letter campaigns updating donors and trustees o events or the charity.

A sel proclaimed expert on Sherlock Holmes, Kevin employs Holmesian philosophy to tackle new challenges and by approaching a

rom an objective and observant manner he can tackle new concepts rom a diferent perspective. This new perspective can encou

radical change which brings out new and innovative ideas.

and colours, so taking these

to heart I leapt into trying to

create something that would

VanceChavis

In 2010 in anticipation o the

City o Greensboros design

o the Lake Jeanette Branch o

the Greensboro Public Library.

The Department o Interior

Architecture at UNC Greensboro

started a project to propose a

redesign o a local branch. The

branch selected was the Vance

Chavis Branch on West Lee

Street. As a part o that a book

highlighting the research o the

library system in Greensboro was

created. Using a laser cutter the

text or the cover was etched into

the ace and is open all the way to

the frst page where the table o

contents are located.
