dt Auf romanischen und später gotischen Fundamenten erbaute, stattlichste Barockkirche des Pustertales. Der Toblacher Baumeister Rudolf Schraffl war mit der Planung und Bauleitung betraut. 1804 wurde der Pfarrturm, der sich frei im Nordwestendes Hauptschiffes erhebt, fertiggestellt.

en The most beautiful baroque church of the Pusteria Valley, built on the foundations of a Roman and later Gothic church. dt Von der Wallfahrtskirche Aufkirchen führt der im Jahre 1996 neu angelegte Besinnungsweg über mehrere Stationen zum ältesten religiösen Heiligtum des Hochpustertals: St. Peter am Kofl . Über die Entstehung der Kapelle wird berichtet, dass in den Wirren der Völkerwanderungszeit aus Aguntum (bei Lienz in Osttirol) einzelne Priester dort Zufl ucht gesucht haben. Die erste urkundliche Erwähnung erfolgte dann 1329. 1987 wurde St. Peter am Kofl restauriert.

La prima notizia della cappella risale ai tempi delle invasioni barbariche, quando alcuni sacerdoti provenienti da Aguntum (oggi Lienz, in Austria) li cercarono rifugio. I primi scritti che ne parlano sono del 1329. San Pietro in Monte è stato restaurato nel 1987.

Toblach wurde erstmals urkundlich im Jahre 827 unter dem Namen „Duplago“ erwähnt. Die turbulente und wechselhafte Ge-schichte des Gebietes, das zwischen dem deutschen und italienischen Sprachraum hin und her gerissen wurde, ist auch in den erhaltenen Bauten und Kunstwerken ersichtlich. So führen die architektonischen Merkmale über die barocke Pfarrkirche zu gotischen Kapellen und weiter zum Grand Hotel, heute Kultur- und Kongresszentrum, welches seinerzeit als das modernste Hotel Europas galt. Einzigartig ist das Zusammenspiel deutscher und italienischer Traditionen, sowie die Vielseitigkeit der gesprochenen Sprachen.

Dobbiaco viene documentato per la prima volta nell’827 come “Duplago”. Il passato movimentato della zona si manifesta anche nelle opere d’arte e nei monumenti. Siccome la zona è stata regnata sia dai tedeschi che dagli italiani si sono mescolate anche nell’arte diver-se epoche e diverse culture. Basta osservare per esempio la Chiesa Parrocchiale di Dobbiaco in stile barocco, le diverse cappelle in stile gotico oppure il Grand Hotel, oggi centro culturale, che al suo tempo era uno dei più moderni e rinomati hotel d’Europa. La zona è avvan-taggiata anche dal bilinguismo e dalla fusione delle tradizioni italiane e tedesche.

Dobbiaco was mentioned in a document for the fi rst time in 827with the name „Duplago“. The tumultuous and alternating history of the region, torn between the German and the Italian speaking area, can still be seen in the preserved buildings and works of art. Thus the architectural characteristics go from the baroque parish church to gothic chapels to the Grand Hotel, today a cultural and convention centre, which at the time was considered to be the most modern hotel of all of Europe. The interaction between German and Italian traditions and the versatility of the spoken languages is unique.
