Buddha – Sammler öffnen ihre Schatzkammern – 232 Meisterwerke buddhistischer Kunst aus 2.000 Jahren bis 19. Februar 2017, täglich ab 10 Uhr

Die Buddha-Ausstellung im Weltkulturerbe Völklinger Hütte zeigt Meisterwerke buddhistischer Kunst aus den vier asiatischen Regionen Südasien, Ostasien, Südostasien und der Himalaya-Region. Die Exponate stammen ausschließlich aus Privatsammlungen, ein großer Teil wird zum ersten Mal öffentlich gezeigt.

L'exposition « Bouddha » du Patrimoine Culturel Mondial Völklinger Hütte réunit des chefs d'œuvre venant des quatre régions asiatiques, l'Asie du Sud, l'Asie orientale, l'Asie du Sud-Est et de l'Himalaya. Les objets proviennent des meilleures collections privées du monde. La plupart des pièces exposées n'a jamais été présentée au public.

The Buddha exhibition at the Völklinger Hütte World Heritage Site has gathered together works from the four Asiatic regions South Asia, East Asia, Southeast Asia and the Himalaya. The exhibits originate from some of the best private collections in the world, most of the exhibits will be seen for the first time in public.

Die Ausstellung "Steve McCurry. Buddhismus – Fotografien 1985 – 2013" zeigt eine besondere Facette des berühmten amerikanischen Magnum- Fotografen Steve McCurry – seine Auseinander-setzung mit der Kultur des Buddhismus. Zu sehen sind 40 großformatige Fotos, die Steve McCurry auf seinen zahlreichen Reisen nach Tibet, Indien, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, China, Japan, Thailand und Kambodscha aufgenommen hat.

En 40 photographes grand format, réalisées par Steve McCurry au cours des ses nombreux voyages en Chine, Thaïlande, Myanmar, Tibet ou au Cam- bodge, il dévoile sa confrontation avec la culture du bouddhisme.

The Völklinger Hütte World Heritage Site is presenting a large-scale solo exhibition of one of the world's best photographers. The exhibition "Steve McCurry. Buddhism – Photographies 1985 – 2013" exhibits a very special facet of the famous American Magnum photographer Steve McCurry – his interaction with the culture of Buddhism.On display are 40 large format photographs Steve McCurry took on his numerous travels to Tibet, India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, China, Japan, Thailand and Cambodia.

Der Pfad der Erkenntnis öffnet einen "anderen" Blick auf die eigene Person und das Weltkultur- erbe Völklinger Hütte. Die mächtigen Maschinen und die beeindruckenden Bauwerke treten in den Dialog mit den Weisheiten des Buddhas. An den acht Stationen des Pfades der Erkennt-nis laden wir Sie dazu ein, über Ihr Leben in der fantastischen Welt des Eisenwerkes, mitten auf dem Erzgleis, der Möllerhalle und der Kokerei, zu meditieren. Im Anschluss an den achtfachen Pfad der Erkenntnis empfehlen wir Ihnen einen Besuch der Buddha-Ausstellung.Anfängern empfehlen wir, den Pfad der Er- kenntnis bei regenfreiem Wetter zu begehen, weil sich ein Großteil der Stationen im Freien befindet. Festes Schuhwerk und wetterfeste Kleidung sind bei der Begehung des Pfades der Erkenntnis sehr zu empfehlen. Ein beson- deres Erlebnis bietet der Pfad der Erkenntnis bei Regen, Wind und Schnee – wir empfehlen ihn dann für Fortgeschrittene.

Le sentier de la connaissance propose de poser « un autre regard » sur le Patrimoine Culturel Mondial Völklinger Hütte. Les machines titanes-ques et les imposants bâtiments dialoguent avec les messages du Bouddha qui vous attendent aux huit stations du chemin de la connaissance et vous invitent à réfléchir à votre vie, le tout dans l'univers fascinant de l'usine sidérurgique, au beau milieu de l'installation de sintérisation, du groupe des hauts fourneaux et de la cokerie. Après avoir parcouru l'octuple chemin de la connaissance, nous vous suggérons de visiter l'exposition Bouddha. Nous recommandons aux débutants d'emprunter le chemin de la connaissance lorsqu'il ne pleut pas, car la plupart des stations sont situées à l'extérieur. Nous vous conseillons de prévoir de bonnes chaussures et des vête-ments imperméables. Parcourir le chemin de la connaissance lorsqu'il pleut, qu'il vente ou qu'il neige est une expérience d'autant plus forte – dans ces conditions climatiques, nous la recom-mandons à ceux qui sont habitués à randonner.

The Path to Enlightenment offers a very different way of experiencing the Völklinger Hütte World Heritage Site by creating a dialo-gue between the mighty machines, the imposing buildings, and the teachings of the Buddha. Located across eight stages of the Path to Enlightenment, these stages invite you to re-flect upon your life against the awe-inspiring backdrop of the ironworks, right in the middle of the sinter plant, the blast furnaces, and the coking plant. When you have completed the Eightfold Path to Enlightenment, we recom-mend that you visit the Buddha exhibition.Given that most of the stages of the Path to Enlightenment are located outdoors, we advise beginners to walk the path only when the weather is good. We highly recommend that you wear stable shoes and waterproof clothing. Walking the Path to Enlightenment can be a very special experience when it is raining, snowing or windy – but we recommend that only experts attempt the path in these conditions.

Im Meditationspass können Sie fest-halten, welche Stationen des Pfades der Erkenntnis Sie durchlaufen haben. Stempeln Sie bitte in die dafür vor-gesehenen Felder das Glückssymbol für die jeweilige Station. Belohnen Sie sich im B40 oder im Café Umwalzer mit einem kleinen Becher Tee, zu dem wir Sie einladen. Wir freuen uns auf Ihren nächsten Besuch im Weltkul- turerbe Völklinger Hütte.

Dans le pass méditation, vous pourrez inscrire les différentes stations du sentier de la connaissance que vous avez parcourues. Tamponner pour cela sur votre pass méditation le symbole correspondant à chaque station. A la fin du sentier, vous avez bien mérité un petit bol de thé au B40 ou au Café Umwalzer, auquel nous vous invitons cordialement.
