At Montana, we take our environmental responsibili-
ties seriously. Over 25 years ago, we introduced our
own set of environmental accounts in consultation with
The Danish Environmental Protection Agency and be-
came one of the first Danish businesses to run ‘cradle-
to-grave’ analyses of the environmental consequences
of a given product. Since 2007, we have exclusively used
water-based lacquer colours, which neither smell nor
contain solvents. Montana modules carries the Danish
Indoor Climate Label, and Montana is certified in accor-
dance to international environmental standards.
Wir von Montana nehmen unsere Verpflichtungen der
Umwelt gegenüber ernst. Bereits vor 25 Jahren haben
wir eine Umweltbilanz eingeführt, die aus einer Koope-
ration mit dem dänischen Umweltamt entstand. Wir

Peter J. Lassen is the man behind Montana, whose simple and functional designs have become classics. From a career as a naval officer, Peter J. Lassen switched to the furniture industry in 1954, and worked with the architects Arne Jacobsen, Jørn Utzon, Piet Hein and Verner Panton for many years. His association with these architects can be seen clearly in the clean lines of his design. In 1982 he founded Montana Møbler A/S.

Joakim Lassen is the fifth generation of his family to work with furniture and the great-grandson of manufacturer Fritz Hansen. Today, he is Managing Director of Montana and in charge of product development.

Montana System CO16 is an inte- rior design system that lives up to the requirements for flexible interior design in the modern office. The modules can be used in the work- place as storage units, or function as room dividers in a dynamic office environment.

Montana’s employees are specialized in high quality
surface processing. Montana works closely with sup-
pliers when developing new types of lacquer and pro-
cessing the surfaces in the best possible manner. Af-
ter refining all edges and surfaces, Montana System
CO16 is lacquered with an UV-hardener and polished.
The lacquer does not contain formaldehyde, and the
emissions of volatile organic compounds are reduced
to a minimum which is below the threshold values
of the EU’s VOC directive. By using water-based
lacquers, Montana protects the outer environment
from compounds and contributes to a better indoor
environment at home and at the workplace.
Montana lacquer is a strong water-based lacquer
containing a UV-initiator that creates cross-links in
the lacquer film. This process provides a hard and du-
rable surface and is lightproof as well as resistant to
mechanical and chemical impacts.

reduziert durch den Einsatz wasserbasierter Lacke
die Belastung der Umwelt durch Lösungsmittel und
trägt zu Hause und am Arbeitsplatz zu einem besse-
ren Raumklima bei.

Montana's workstations can be configured and tail-
ored so they match a specific work-related or spatial
need. The height-adjustable HiLow tables come with
tabletops in many different colours, sizes and shapes
– the series houses the opportunity to purchase extra
components and accessories such as screens, plug-ins,

At Montana, we take our environmental responsibili-
ties seriously. Over 25 years ago, we introduced our
own set of environmental accounts in consultation with
The Danish Environmental Protection Agency and be-
came one of the first Danish businesses to run ‘cradle-
to-grave’ analyses of the environmental consequences
of a given product. Since 2007, we have exclusively used
water-based lacquer colours, which neither smell nor
contain solvents. Montana modules carries the Danish
Indoor Climate Label, and Montana is certified in accor-
dance to international environmental standards.

Peter J. Lassen is the man behind Montana, whose simple and functional designs have become classics. From a career as a naval officer, Peter J. Lassen switched to the furniture industry in 1954, and worked with the architects Arne Jacobsen, Jørn Utzon, Piet Hein and Verner Panton for many years. His association with these architects can be seen clearly in the clean lines of his design. In 1982 he founded Montana Møbler A/S.

Montana’s employees are specialized in high quality
surface processing. Montana works closely with sup-
pliers when developing new types of lacquer and pro-
cessing the surfaces in the best possible manner. Af-
ter refining all edges and surfaces, Montana System
CO16 is lacquered with an UV-hardener and polished.
The lacquer does not contain formaldehyde, and the
emissions of volatile organic compounds are reduced
to a minimum which is below the threshold values
of the EU’s VOC directive. By using water-based
lacquers, Montana protects the outer environment
from compounds and contributes to a better indoor
environment at home and at the workplace.
Montana lacquer is a strong water-based lacquer
containing a UV-initiator that creates cross-links in
the lacquer film. This process provides a hard and du-
rable surface and is lightproof as well as resistant to
mechanical and chemical impacts.
