INTRODUCTION

Mak ro is a renowned international br and in the

 business of Cash and Carry wholesale centers.

Its originally present in  Netherlands as a br and

Mak ro. 

Mak ro is a  joint venture with the House of Ha bib,

under the name of Mak ro-Ha bib Pak istan Limited.

There are 2 Centers in K ar achi and 2 in Lahore.

Mak ro cash and carry brings a new concept in

Pak istan.

It includes 1400 items include vegeta bles, fruit ,fish, all types of meat, motorcycle etc.

outlet .

EXISTENCE OF THIR D PARTY LOGISTICS They use third party logistics to satisfy their logistical business

need.

Fast and convenient tr ansportation system.

In distribution centers they have truck s and other mini-load

lifters. They also have there own tr ansport for free deliver of goods to their customers to reduce cost.

They have hired sk illed drivers with no major tr affic violations

from their past

decision on time.

They use for k lifter, mini cars, palettes and etc in warehouse.

They have wide par k ing space.

Wor k is distributed among em ployees so that no body caninterfere in others wor k.

WAREHOUSEING

Mak ro selling centers used as warehouses.

It has two warehouses, the front store is for display where we

shop and other is at back store where excess inventory is k ept.

They use barcode as well as R adio Frequency Identification

Device tags for its record k eeping and safety from stealing. 

Dispatch timing for goods are between 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

All the inventories are k ept in the right condition, at the right

specific department to ensure its best quality and display which

attr act buyers.

TECHNOLOGIES USED IN WAREHOUSE

MAKRO USE:

Barcode and R FID for handling goods.

Smart shelves .

Tr ansportation of goods is directly unload in the store room.

If any supplier have no barcode, Mak ro will charge @50 paisa per 

good from supplier .

The em ployees control the delivery via PC and with the PDA-

equipment .
