    In de Onderwijs- en Examenregeling zijn de opleidingsspecifieke rechten en plichtenopgenomen van studenten enerzijds en de Universiteit Utrecht anderzijds. In het (algemeneuniversitaire) Studentenstatuut staan de rechten en plichten die voor alle studenten gelden.

    PARAGRAAF 1 ALGEMENE BEPALINGEN

    art. 1.1 toepasselijkheid van de regeling

    Deze regeling is van toepassing op het onderwijs en de examens van de masteropleidingenHistory and Philosophy of Science,Physics and Climate Science,

    Astrophysics,Computer Science,Information Science,Mathematical Sciences,Scientific Computing,Artificial Intelligence,Chemical Sciences voor wat betreft het programma Chemistry and Physics,(hierna te noemen: de opleidingen) en op alle studenten die voor een van deze opleidingenstaan ingeschreven. De opleidingen wordt verzorgd doordeGraduate School of NaturalSciences1binnen de faculteit Btawetenschappen, hierna te noemen: de faculteit.

    art. 1.2 begripsbepalingen

    In deze regeling wordt verstaan onder:a. de wet: de Wet op het hoger onderwijs en wetenschappelijk onderzoek;b. student: degene die is ingeschreven aan de universiteit voor het volgen van het onderwijs

    en/of het afleggen van de tentamens en de examens van de opleiding;c. studiepunt: eenheid uitgedrukt in ECTS, waarbij een studiepunt gelijk staat aan 28 uur

    studeren;d. opleiding: de masteropleiding genoemd in art. 1.1 van deze regeling. Een opleiding kan

    bestaan uit meerdere masterprogramma's.e. programma: een samenhangend geheel van onderwijseenheden binnen een opleiding,

    zoals beschreven in art. 3.6 van deze regeling.f. onderdeel: een onderwijseenheid (cursus) van de opleiding, opgenomen in de

    Universitaire Onderwijscatalogus;g. cursus: het geheel van onderwijs en toetsing van een onderdeel;h. toets: tentamen als bedoeld in art. 7.10 van de wet;i.

    examen: het afsluitend masterexamen van de opleiding dat met goed gevolg is afgelegdals aan alle verplichtingen van de gehele masteropleiding is voldaan;

    j. contract onderwijsvoorzieningen: het door de onderwijsdirecteur (of andere functionarisnamens de opleiding) en gehandicapte student afgesloten contract waarin is vastgelegd opwelke noodzakelijke en redelijke voorzieningen de student recht heeft;

    k. Internationaal Diploma Supplement: de bijlage bij het mastergetuigschrift waarin eentoelichting is opgenomen m.b.t. de aard en de inhoud van de opleiding (mede ininternationale context).

    De overige begrippen hebben de betekenis die de wet daaraan toekent.

    PARAGRAAF 2 TOELATING

    art. 2.1 toelatingseisen opleiding

    a) Toelaatbaar tot de opleiding is de bezitter van een Nederlands of een buitenlands diplomavan hoger onderwijs, die aantoont te beschikken over de volgende kennis, inzicht envaardigheden zoals gespecificeerd per programma in de programmabijlage.

    b) In de programmabijlages wordt tevens per masterprogramma benoemd voor welkeUtrechtse bacheloropleidingen de bezitters van het betreffende diploma worden geacht tebeschikken over de kennis, het inzicht en de vaardigheden, bedoeld in het eerste lid engenoemd in de bijlage, en uit dien hoofde worden toegelaten tot de opleiding. Dezekandidaten bezitten voor het betreffende programma een doorstroomrecht na afrondingvan de genoemde Bacheloropleiding.

    art. 2.2 Engelse taal

    1. Deficinties in de vooropleiding in Engels worden voor aanvang van de opleidingvervuld door het afleggen van n de volgende toetsen:o IELTS (International English Language Testing System). De minimum vereiste

    IELTS score (overall band) is: 6.5 met tenminste 6,0 voor het onderdeelschrijven.

    o TOEFL (Test Of English as a Foreign Language). De minimum vereiste TOEFL scoreis: 237 voor de computertest; 580 voor de schriftelijke test; 93 voor deinternettest.

    oCambridge EFL (English as a Foreign Language)Examinations, met een van devolgende certificaten:- Cambridge Certificate in Advanced English; minimum score: B;- Cambridge Certificate of Proficiency in English; minimum score: C.

    2. De bezitter van een in Nederland behaald universitair bachelordiploma voldoet aan deeis met betrekking tot voldoende beheersing van de Engelse taal.

    art. 2.3 toelating programmas

    Voor de onderscheidene programmas van de opleiding gelden, in aanvulling op het in art. 2.1bepaalde, de toelatingsvoorwaarden genoemd in de programmabijlage.

    art. 2.4 pre-master

    1. Degenen die niet aan de toelatingseisen genoemd in art. 2.1 en 2.3 voldoen, kunnenhieraan voldoen door een op het masterprogramma toegesneden pre-mastertraject van deUniversiteit Utrecht met goed gevolg af te ronden, zoals aangegeven in deprogrammabijlage en/of zoals aangegeven in de voorwaardelijke toelatingsbeschikking vande toelatingscommissie. Het pre-mastertraject heeft een maximale omvang van 60studiepunten.

    2. De toelatingscommissie beslist in haar toelatingsonderzoek over omvang en inhoud vaneen eventueel premasterprogramma.

    art. 2.5 toelatingsprocedure

    1. De toelating tot de opleiding en de onderscheidene programmas is opgedragen aan detoelatingscommissie van de opleiding.

    2. Met het oog op de toelating tot de opleiding stelt de toelatingscommissie een onderzoek innaar de kennis, het inzicht en de vaardigheden van de kandidaat. In aanvulling opschriftelijke bewijzen van de gevolgde opleiding(en) kan de commissie bepaalde kennis,inzicht en vaardigheden laten toetsen door deskundigen in of buiten de universiteit.

    3. Met het oog op de toelating tot een programma van de opleiding onderzoekt detoelatingscommissie of de kandidaat voldoet dan wel tijdig zal voldoen aan de daarvoor inart. 2.3 gestelde voorwaarden. De commissie betrekt bij haar onderzoek de motivatie enambitie van de kandidaat m.b.t. het desbetreffende programma, alsmede de kennis vande kandidaat van de taal waarin het onderwijs van het programma wordt verzorgd.

    4. Het toelatingsonderzoek vindt tweemaal per jaar plaats.5. Een verzoek te worden toegelaten tot de opleiding en een bepaald programma wordt voor

    1 maart (voor masterprogrammas die per 1 september van start gaan) resp. 15 oktober(voor masterprogrammas die per 1 februari van start gaan) ingediend bij detoelatingscommissie.In bijzondere gevallen kan de toelatingscommissie een na deze sluitingsdata ingediendverzoek in behandeling nemen.

    6. De toelatingscommissie beslist voor 1 juni resp. 15 november op het verzoek. De toelatingwordt verleend onder de voorwaarde dat de kandidaat uiterlijk op de betreffendebegindatum van de opleiding zal voldoen aan de in art. 2.3 bedoelde eisen t.a.v. kennis envaardigheden, zoals die blijken uit getuigschriften van door hem gevolgde opleidingen.

    7. De kandidaat ontvangt een schriftelijk bewijsstuk van de toelatings- c.q.afwijzingsbeslissing tot de opleiding en een bepaald programma. Hierin wordt gewezen opde beroepsmogelijkheid bij het College van beroep voor de examens.

    art. 2.6 toelating voor een half jaar

    1. In bijzondere gevallen kan de toelatingscommissie de kandidaat die zich voorbereidt ophet afsluitend examen van de in art. 2.1, tweede lid, genoemde bacheloropleiding, op

    diens verzoek voor een half jaar toelaten tot de opleiding, indien:- hij de verplichte onderdelen van de major heeft behaald en hij overigens van debacheloropleiding nog slechts onderdelen met een gezamenlijke studielast van tenhoogste 15 studiepunten moet behalen, n

    - de gerechtvaardigde verwachting bestaat dat hij de bacheloropleiding in zeer kortetijd, doch maximaal binnen een half jaar vanaf het moment dat student voorlopig istoegelaten tot de masteropleiding zal kunnen afronden, n

    - hij ten gevolge van overmacht onvoldoende heeft kunnen doorstromen en er eenonevenredige studievertraging zou optreden indien hij niet alvast aan demasteropleiding kan beginnen.

    2. Na het behalen van het afsluitend examen van de in art. 2.1, tweede lid, genoemdebacheloropleiding wordt de toelating voor een half jaar omgezet in een definitievetoelating.

    3. Indien de student niet binnen 6 maanden na aanvang van de masteropleiding hetafsluitend examen van de in art. 2.1, tweede lid, genoemde bacheloropleiding heeftbehaald, wordt hij uitgesloten van verdere deelname aan de masteropleiding totdat hetbachelorexamen is behaald.

    PARAGRAAF 3 INHOUD EN INRICHTING VAN DE OPLEIDING

    art. 3.1 doel van de opleiding

    1. Met de opleiding wordt beoogd:o gespecialiseerde kennis, vaardigheid en inzicht op het gebied van Natural Sciences,

    en het bereiken van de eindkwalificaties genoemd in het tweede lido voorbereiding op de beroepsuitoefening in toegepast en fundamenteel onderzoek in

    de maatschappij c.q. op het gebied van de Natural Sciences, eno voorbereiding op de opleiding tot onderzoeker op het gebied van de Natural

    Sciences.

    2. De afgestudeerde:o heeft diepgaande kennis van en inzicht in het vakgebied van het masterprogrammao heeft een grondige kennis van een specialisme binnen de opleiding, dan wel een

    gedegen kennis op het snijvlak van de opleiding en een ander vakgebied;o heeft de vaardigheid om zelfstandig problemen op het terrein van het

    masterprogramma te signaleren, formuleren, analyseren en eventuele oplossingen

    aan te dragen.o heeft de vaardigheid om onderzoek op het terrein van het masterprogramma uit te

    voeren en daarover te rapporteren op een wijze die voldoet aan de gebruikelijkedisciplinaire normen.

    o beschikt over professionele en academische vaardigheden, in het bijzonder metbetrekking tot het masterprogramma

    o is in staat om kennis en inzicht op dusdanige wijze toe te passen, dat dit eenprofessionele benadering van zijn/haar werk of beroep laat zien

    o is in staat om conclusies, alsmede kennis, motieven en overwegingen die hieraanten grondslag liggen over te brengen op een publiek bestaande uit specialisten ofniet-specialisten.

    In de bijlage zijn de vakspecifieke eindkwalificaties van de verschillende programmasopgenomen.

    art. 3.2 vorm van de opleiding

    De opleiding wordt voltijds verzorgd.

    art. 3.3 taal waarin de opleiding wordt verzorgd

    De opleiding wordt in het Engels verzorgd. Daarbij is de gedragscode Taal van de UniversiteitUtrecht van toepassing.

    art. 3.4 stud ielast

    De opleiding heeft een studielast van 120 studiepunten, met uitzondering van de opleidingScientific Computing, die een studielast van 60 ECTS heeft.

    art. 3.5 programmas; startmomenten

    1. De opleiding kent de volgende programmas:a. De opleiding History and Philosophy of Science kent n programma:

    - Het programma History and Philosophy of Science, dat voorbereidt op de opleiding totonderzoeker op het gebied van de Geschiedenis en Wijsbegeerte van de Wiskunde en deNatuurwetenschappen.

    b. De opleiding Physics and Climate Science kent de volgende programmas:- Het programma Chemistry and Physics, dat voorbereidt op de opleiding tot onderzoekerop het gebied van de condensed matter and materials science.- Het programma Experimental Physics, dat voorbereidt op de opleiding tot onderzoeker

    en op beroepsuitoefening op het gebied van de experimentele natuurkunde.- Het programma Meteorology, Physical Oceanography and Climate, dat voorbereidt opde opleiding tot onderzoeker op de gebieden meteorologie, fysische oceanografie enklimaat.- Het programma Theoretical Physics, dat voorbereidt op de opleiding tot onderzoeker ophet gebied van de theoretische natuurkunde.

    c. De opleiding Astrophysics kent n programma:- Het programma Astrophysics, dat voorbereidt op de opleiding tot onderzoeker op hetgebied van de Sterrenkunde.

    d. De opleiding Computer Science kent de volgende programmas:- Het programma Agent Technology, dat voorbereidt op de opleiding tot onderzoeker enop beroepsuitoefening op het gebied van agent technology.- Het programma Applied Computing Science, dat voorbereidt op de opleiding totonderzoeker en op beroepsuitoefening op het gebied van de ontwikkeling en analyse van

    algoritmische concepten.- Het programma Game and Media Technology, dat voorbereidt op de opleiding totonderzoeker en op beroepsuitoefening op het gebied van de technologische aspecten vangaming en simulatie.- Het programma Software Technology, dat voorbereidt op de opleiding tot onderzoekeren op beroepsuitoefening op het gebied van de ontwikkeling van software in de brede zin.

    e. De opleiding Information Science kent de volgende programmas:- Het programma Content and Knowledge Engineering, dat voorbereidt op de opleidingtot onderzoeker en op beroepsuitoefening op het gebied van content and knowledgeengineering.- Het programma Business Informatics, dat voorbereidt op de opleiding tot onderzoekeren op beroepsuitoefening op het gebied van de business infomatics.

    f. De opleiding Mathematical Sciences kent de volgende programmas:- Het programma Mathematical Sciences, dat voorbereidt op de opleiding tot

    onderzoeker en op beroepsuitoefening op het gebied van de wiskunde.- Het programma Stochastics and Financial Mathematics, dat voorbereidt op de opleidingtot onderzoeker en op beroepsuitoefening op het gebied van de stochastiek en definanciele wiskunde.

    g. De opleiding Scientific Computing kent n programma:- Het programma Scientific Computing, dat voorbereidt op de opleiding tot onderzoekeren op beroepsuitoefening op het gebied van scientific computing.

    h. De opleiding Artificial Intelligence kent n programma:- Het programma Cognitive Artificial Intelligence, dat voorbereidt op de opleiding totonderzoeker en beroepsuitoefening op het gebied van de Kunstmatige Intelligentie.

    I . De opleiding Chemical Sciences kent meerdere programmas waarvan er n onder dit OERvalt, te weten:

    - Het programma Nanomaterials: Chemistry and Physics dat voorbereidt op de opleidingtot onderzoeker op het gebied van de condensed matter and materials science.

    2. De masterprogrammas starten twee keer per jaar: per 1 september en per 1 februari,met uitzondering van de n-jarige Masters in Scientific Computing die alleen op 1 septemberstart.

    art. 3.6 samenstelling programmas

    1. Elk onderscheiden 2-jarige programma bevat, tenzij in de programmabijlage andersvermeld, minimaal de volgende componenten:

    - een aantal verplichte onderdelen van doorgaans minimaal 30 studiepunten;- een aantal keuzeonderdelen waarvan uit de primaire keuzeonderdelen onbeperkt

    gekozen kan worden, en uit de secundaire keuzeonderdelen in beperkte mate;- een verplichte afstudeeropdracht van doorgaans 45 studiepunten.Voor het 1-jarige programma Scientific Computing gelden deze eisen naar verhouding.Meer uitgebreide informatie over inhoud en opbouw van elk programma is te vinden in deprogrammabijlage bij deze regeling.

    2. In Osiris worden de inhoud en de onderwijsvorm van de verplichte onderdelen van deonderscheiden programmas nader omschreven, onder vermelding van de voorkennis diegewenst is om aan het desbetreffende onderdeel met goed gevolg te kunnen deelnemen.

    3. De toelatingscommissie van een programma kan voor een individuele student een beperktaantal onderdelen verplichtend opleggen ter compensatie van deficinties uit devooropleiding. De studielast van deze onderdelen gaat ten koste van de secundairekeuzeruimte, tenzij dit in de specifieke programmabijlage anders aangegeven is.

    4. Onderdelen die reeds opgevoerd zijn op de cijferlijst van een voorafgaande Bachelor- ofandere vooropleiding kunnen niet nogmaals opgevoerd worden.

    art. 3.7 onderdelen elders

    1. Voorwaarde voor het behalen van het getuigschrift van het masterexamen van deopleiding is dat ten minste de helft van het onderwijsprogramma is behaald via onderdelenverzorgd door de Universiteit Utrecht.

    2. Onderdelen die tijdens de opleiding elders behaald worden, kunnen uitsluitend metvoorafgaande toestemming van de examencommissie worden ingebracht in hetexamenprogramma van de student.

    3. Voor onderdelen die voorafgaand aan de start van de masteropleiding zijn behaald aaneen instelling voor hoger onderwijs, kan slechts op grond van art. 5.12 vrijstelling wordenverleend.

    PARAGRAAF 4 ONDERWIJS

    art. 4.1 cursus

    Alle cursussen die deel uit kunnen maken van de opleiding zijn opgenomen in de UniversitaireOnderwijscatalogus. Cursussen die enkel incidenteel, of door andere universiteitenaangeboden worden staan in de programmabijlagen vermeld met tevens de richtlijnenbetreffende de opname van deze cursussen binnen het specifieke Masterprogramma.

    art. 4.2 ingangseisen cursussen

    1. Tenzij anders vermeldt in de programmabijlagen moeten de verplichte cursorischeonderdelen van een Masterprogramma zijn afgerond alvorens aan het onderzoek- ofafstudeerproject kan worden begonnen.

    PARAGRAAF 5 TOETSING

    art. 5.1 algemeen

    1. Tijdens de cursus wordt de student op academische vorming getoetst en wordt getoetst ofde student in voldoende mate de gestelde leerdoelen bereikt. De toetsing van de studentis afgerond bij het einde van de cursus.

    2. In de Universitaire Onderwijscatalogus staat beschreven aan welke prestaties de studentmoet voldoen om de cursus met succes af te ronden en wat de criteria zijn waarop destudent beoordeeld wordt.

    3. In het Reglement2 van de examencommissie staat de gang van zaken bij toetsingbeschreven.

    art. 5.2 toetsing stage of onderzoekopdracht

    De toetsing van een stage of van een onderzoekopdracht wordt verricht door de

    desbetreffende begeleider n n of meer andere interne en/of externe deskundigen,aangewezen in overleg met en onder verantwoordelijkheid van de programmaleider.

    art. 5.3 cijfers

    Cijfers worden gegeven op een schaal van 1 tot en met 10; in halve punten vanaf de 6 en inhele punten onder de 6. De eindbeoordeling van een cursus is voldoende dan welonvoldoende, in cijfers uitgedrukt: 6 of hoger, respectievelijk 5 of lager.

    art. 5.4 reparatie: aanvullende of vervangende toets

    Indien de student aan alle inspanningsverplichtingen tijdens de cursus heeft voldaan en hem

    niettemin geen voldoende is toegekend, maar wel het eindcijfer van ten minste een 4,0, wordthij eenmaal in de gelegenheid gesteld een aanvullende of een vervangende toets af te leggen.

    art. 5.5 toetsvorm

    1. Toetsing binnen een cursus vindt plaats op de wijze als vermeld in de UniversitaireOnderwijscatalogus of de studiegids.

    2. Op verzoek kan de examencommissie toestaan dat een toets op een andere wijze dankrachtens het eerste lid is bepaald, wordt afgelegd.

    art. 5.6 handicap

    1. Gehandicapte of chronisch zieke studenten die toetsen af willen leggen op een zoveelmogelijk aan hun individuele handicap aangepaste wijze, kunnen hiertoe een verzoek,ondersteund door de studieadviseur, richten aan de examencommissie.

    2. Studenten met een Contract onderwijsvoorzieningen als bedoeld in artikel 7.3 komenzonder meer in aanmerking voor de in het contract vastgelegde regeling/ voorziening.

    art. 5.7 mondel inge toetsen

    1. Mondeling wordt niet meer dan n persoon tegelijk getoetst, tenzij de examencommissieanders heeft bepaald.

    2. Het mondeling afnemen van een toets is openbaar, tenzij de examencommissie of dedesbetreffende examinator in een bijzonder geval anders heeft bepaald, dan wel destudent daartegen bezwaar heeft gemaakt.

    art. 5.8 toetsvoorziening bijzondere gevallen

    1. Indien het niet verlenen van een individuele toetsvoorziening zou leiden tot een bijzondergeval van onbillijkheid van overwegende aard kan de examencommissie besluiten eentoetsvoorziening toe te kennen.

    2. Verzoeken om een bijzondere toetsvoorziening moeten zo snel mogelijk metbewijsstukken schriftelijk worden ingediend bij de examencommissie.

    art. 5.9 termijn beoo rdeling

    1. De examinator stelt direct of uiterlijk binnen 24 uur, na het afnemen van een mondelingetoets het oordeel vast en reikt de student een desbetreffende schriftelijke verklaring uit.

    2. De examinator stelt het oordeel over een schriftelijk of op andere wijze afgenomen toetsvast binnen 10 werkdagen na de dag waarop deze is afgenomen, en verschaft deadministratie van de faculteit de nodige gegevens ten behoeve van de uitreiking van hetschriftelijk of elektronisch bewijsstuk van het oordeel aan de student.

    3. Op de electronische verklaring van het oordeel over een toets wordt de student gewezenop het inzagerecht, bedoeld in art. 5.10 en op de beroepsmogelijkheid bij het College vanberoep voor de examens.

    art. 5.10 geldigheidsduur

    1. De geldigheidsduur van behaalde onderdelen is onbeperkt.In afwijking hiervan kan de examencommissie voor een onderdeel, waarvan de toetslanger dan vijf jaar geleden is behaald, een aanvullende dan wel een vervangende toetsopleggen.

    2. Deeltoetsen en opdrachten die behaald zijn binnen een onderdeel dat niet met goedgevolg is afgelegd, vervallen 3 maanden na de datum van de eindtoets.

    art. 5.11 inzagerecht

    1. Gedurende dertig dagen na de bekendmaking van de uitslag van een schriftelijke toetskrijgt de student op zijn verzoek inzage in zijn beoordeeld werk.

    Tevens wordt hem op zijn verzoek tegen kostprijs een kopie verschaft van dat werk.2. Gedurende de in het eerste lid genoemde termijn kan elke belanghebbende kennis

    nemen van vragen en opdrachten van de desbetreffende toets, alsmede zo mogelijkvan de normen aan de hand waarvan de beoordeling heeft plaatsgevonden.

    art. 5.12 vrijstell ing

    1. De examencommissie kan de student op diens verzoek, gehoord de desbetreffendeexaminator, vrijstelling verlenen van een onderdeel van het programma, indien destudent:

    a. hetzij een qua inhoud en niveau overeenkomstig onderdeel van een universitaire ofhogere beroepsopleiding voorafgaand aan de start van de masteropleiding heeftvoltooid;

    b. hetzij aantoont door werk- c.q. beroepservaring over voldoende kennis envaardigheden te beschikken m.b.t. het desbetreffende onderdeel.

    c. Onderdelen waarvoor vrijstelling wordt verleend dienen te worden vervangen doorprimaire of secundaire keuzeonderdelen met een overeenkomstige studielast.

    2. Credit transfer: Op verzoek van een student kan de examencommissie onderdelen dieelders zijn behaald aan een instelling voor hoger onderwijs, bijvoorbeeld in het kader vaneen uitwisselingssemester, laten bijdragen aan het voldoen van de exameneisen van hetmasterprogramma. De examencommissie beslist over het te vermelden resultaat en dedaarbij behorende studielast.

    art. 5.13 fraude en plagiaat

    1. Onder fraude en plagiaat wordt verstaan het handelen of nalaten van een studentwaardoor een juist oordeel over zijn kennis, inzicht en vaardigheden geheel of gedeeltelijkonmogelijk wordt.

    2. a. Wanneer fraude wordt geconstateerd of vermoed, deelt de examinator ditschriftelijk mee aan de examencommissie en de programmaleider.

    b. Wanneer de examinator plagiaat constateert of vermoedt:- deelt hij dit schriftelijk mee aan de student;- stelt hij de student in de gelegenheid schriftelijk daarop te reageren;- stuurt hij daarna de schriftelijke stukken en bevindingen naar de

    examencommissie.c. De examencommissie stelt de examinandus in de gelegenheid te worden gehoord.

    3. De examencommissie stelt vast of er sprake is van fraude of plagiaat en deelt deexaminandus schriftelijk haar besluit en de sancties conform het bepaalde in het vierde lidmede, onder vermelding van de beroepsmogelijkheid bij het College van beroep voor deexamens.

    4. Fraude en plagiaat wordt door de examencommissie als volgt bestraft:a. In ieder geval:

    o ongeldig verklaren van het ingeleverde werkstuk of tentameno berisping, die aangetekend wordt in OSIRIS.

    b. En eventueel voorts, afhankelijk van aard en omvang van de fraude of plagiaat, envan de studiefase van de examinandus, n of meer van de volgende sancties:o verwijderen uit de cursuso het niet meer in aanmerking komen voor een positief judicium (cum laude) als

    bedoeld in art.6.2o uitsluiting van deelname aan tentamens of andere vormen van toetsing die

    behoren bij het betreffende onderwijsonderdeel voor het lopende academisch jaar,dan wel voor een periode van 12 maanden

    o volledige uitsluiting van deelname aan alle tentamens of andere vormen vantoetsing voor een periode van 12 maanden.

    c. Indien de student reeds eerder een berisping heeft gekregen:volledige uitsluiting van deelname aan alle tentamens of andere vormen van toetsingvoor een periode van 12 maanden en het advies de opleiding te verlaten.

    PARAGRAAF 6 EXAMEN

    art. 6.1 examen

    1. De examencommissie stelt de uitslag van het examen vast, zodra de student voldoendebewijzen overlegt van door hem afgelegde toetsen.

    2. Alvorens de uitslag van het examen vast te stellen, kan de examencommissie zelf eenonderzoek instellen naar de kennis van de student m.b.t. een of meer onderdelen ofaspecten van de opleiding, indien en voorzover de uitslagen van de desbetreffende toetsenhaar daartoe aanleiding geven.

    3. Voor het behalen van het examen geldt als voorwaarde dat voor alle onderdelen eenvoldoende is behaald.

    art. 6.2 judicium cum laude

    Het judicium 'cum laude' wordt toegekend aan het masterexamen, indien voldaanis aan elk van de volgende voorwaarden:

    - voor de verplicht onderdelen gemiddeld tenminste het cijfer 8,0 is behaald- voor de onderdelen van het programma gemiddeld tenminste het cijfer 8,0 behaald- voor het afstudeeronderzoek/project tenminste het cijfer 8,5 is behaald- voor maximaal 15 studiepunten zijn niet-meetellende vrijstellingen verkregen, tenzij de

    examencommissie anders beslist,- er geen beslissing is van de examencommissie (als bedoeld in art. 5.13, lid 4 onder b)

    dat sprake is geweest van fraude/plagiaat

    art. 6.3 graad

    1. Aan degene die het examen met goed gevolg heeft afgelegd, wordt de graad Master ofScience verleend.

    2. De verleende graad wordt op het getuigschrift van het examen aangetekend.

    art. 6.5 getuigschrift

    1. Ten bewijze dat het examen met goed gevolg is afgelegd wordt door de examencommissieeen getuigschrift uitgereikt.

    2. De examencommissie voegt aan dit getuigschrift het Internationaal Diploma Supplementtoe, waarmee (internationaal) inzicht wordt verschaft in de aard en inhoud van deafgeronde opleiding.

    PARAGRAAF 7 STUDIEBEGELEIDING

    art. 7.1 studievoortgangsadminis tratie

    1.

    De faculteit registreert de individuele studieresultaten van de studenten en stelt deze viaOsiris-student ter beschikking.2. Bij de afdeling Onderwijs- en studentenzaken kan een gewaarmerkt

    studievoortgangsdossier worden verkregen.

    art. 7.2 studiebegeleiding

    1. De faculteit draagt zorg voor de studiebegeleiding van de studenten, die voor de opleidingzijn ingeschreven.

    2. De studiebegeleiding omvat:- toewijzing van een tutor op verzoek en een studieadviseur- het bieden van verwijzing en hulp bij door studenten ervaren moeilijkheden tijdens

    de studie;

    - aan het einde van het eerste jaar van zijn opleiding ontvangt de student een nietbindende prognose m.b.t. de toelating tot een promotieopleiding;

    art. 7.3 handicap

    Aan de student met een functiestoornis wordt de gelegenheid geboden het onderwijs te volgenen de toetsen af te leggen op de wijze zoals vastgelegd in zijn Contractonderwijsvoorzieningen. Verzoeken om een studiecontract af te sluiten worden ingediend bijde studieadviseur.

    PARAGRAAF 8 OVERGANGS- EN SLOTBEPALINGEN

    art. 8.1 vangnetregel ingIn die gevallen waarin deze regeling niet voorziet, niet duidelijk voorziet of tot kennelijkeonredelijke uitkomsten leidt, wordt door of namens de decaan beslist, na deexamencommissie te hebben gehoord.

    art. 8.2 wi jziging1. Wijzigingen van deze regeling worden door de decaan, gehoord de opleidingscommissie en

    na overleg met de faculteitsraad of opleidingsraad, bij afzonderlijk besluit vastgesteld.2. Een wijziging van deze regeling heeft geen betrekking op het lopende studiejaar, tenzij de

    belangen van de studenten daardoor redelijkerwijs niet worden geschaad.3. Een wijziging kan voorts niet ten nadele van studenten van invloed zijn op enige andere

    beslissing, die krachtens deze regeling door de examencommissie is genomen ten aanzienvan een student.

    art. 8.3 bekendmakingDe decaan draagt zorg voor bekendmaking van deze regeling, alsmede van elke wijziging viainternet.
