The Kingdom of Rebel
Many have taken a utopian view
of the deterritorialization of music
production, as it reterritorialized in
home studios or bedroom labs.
As well as the evidence of Aphex
Twin, Squarepusher and a good
proportion of those involved in the
nebulous genre electronica. Fete
dela WSKpraises the creativepotential of this underheard-of
autonomy. For the first time in history,
creative output and the means of its
distribution have been inextricably
linked. Along with the rhetoric of
freedom comes a puritanical praise
for self-teaching (diy), as techno-
autodidacts master new machinery,
software, concepts and
programming.
Electric Church
Electricity threatened music (let
alone trad. art) as purity of human
expression, and also of innate
'talent', as it first distanced the
musician from the sound, and
second, masked the inadequacies of
technique. Amplification takes over
from the human voice, or music as
expression of human feeling, emotionor subjectivity (often through
approximation of voice). What you
hear is revealed as electrically driven
movements of air; sound is
materialized, and becomes other to
the expressing body. Music is now
evidently prosthetic, mediated
through machinery, and this shakes
the belief in the centeredness,
intention and authenticity of musical
creation.
Surplus sound is a key
characteristic of electrified music,
and as the 1960s go on, distortion
and feedback, pushing the machinery
beyond limits, offers another layer of
noise that is both literal and noise in
the sense of being unwanted, excess,
waste. These noises are quickly
used, and become techniques, but
along the way, they operate as a way
of maintaining a community. We can
take "church" as meant in the most
general sense, as a way of capturing
an elective community that somehow
bonds together, in this case in
excessive performance.

OPEN:SHARING:POSTINGthe practice of diy [do it yourself] and diwo [do it with others] in subculture movement

their last projects under their 3 new platforms:

democratizing food and energy.
2. HONFablab Digital Fabrication Lab: WIN+PLAY consists of a series of activities, which have commenced since April 2012.
In this competition, four teams that represent their respective university not only designed and produced a window display inaccordance to the stores brief, but also received workshops on idea exploration, design, entrepreneurship and product

3. HONFactory Media Culture: ALT:US#1-4 is a project by HONFactory and initiated by Ican Harem and Gentur Suria. This
project aims to build a real communication in digital or analog way.
B) Marko Kosnik (b.July 1 1961, Kranj), one of the pioneers of European interactive communication projects, will talk about
his work. During the eighties he collaborated with several extreme alternative groups (Junajtit Adis, Laibach, Cavis Negra,
Most), primarily as a creator of concepts, scripts, music, video and ambient projects. Since the beginning of his collaborative
projects he was producing creative environments, open labs and media platforms, dealing with synchronization of authors
from different backgrounds and self organization. Crossing from acoustic studies of subterranean Karst to performances and
nstallations withsonorostatics (electro-acoustic plates) he entered performance with own productions of Egon March
Institute, and started building interactive environments in 1993. The circle of collaborators in his projects since 1991 has
been largely international; e.g., collaborations with Van Gogh TV, Universcity TV, and STEIM. He held numerous
performances, lectures and workshop tutorships (MUU, Architonomy, Media Feedback) around Europe, and has initiated
educative media environments (Ministry of Experiment).

"Chias artistic identity
is one that defies the
artificial borders and
boundaries of the modern
nation state. Going beyond
the notion of the individual
simply as a constituent of a
nation and its projected
cultural identity, (s)he
bypasses the need for
mass appeal or approval
and instead subscribes to
the independent nature thatcharacterises folk the
resistance to a canon.
June Yap, The WIRE
My recent researches
have been focused a lot on
relationships between
spirits and sounds, music
and trance, shamanism and
dance. For such
experiences i
obviously looked
deep into
traditional music,
old rituals and
uses of music to
transfigure the
body to some
other extents. Its
quite fascinating
that such a
person like Marc,
who is involving
himself so much
in very
advanced
technology,
could recall such ancient
approaches to music.
From this film made with
him in Singapore, my ideas
about bridges betweentechnology and spirituality
went further. What i had
developed personally for a
few years, this intuition that
the ultimate goal of
technology in our age is to
help us to reconnect with
our own blood, he was
personifying it in the most
incredible way.

Marko Kosnik will
present the artistic and
political journey of a
platform that he has been
running since the late 80s.
He started his carrier in
80's as cofounder of
Laibach, writing concepts
as well for the groups
Junajtit Adis, Cavis Negra,
and Most. In 1986 he
founded the Egon March
Institute, a creative unit for
theory, research and
production in the field of
new media; it was in this
framework that he realized
the bulk of his projects
during the nineties.
Since 1991 he has
been engaged in corporate
interdisciplinary
productions, performances
and installations, which
combine directing,
programming of interactive
systems, synchronization
and transmission via the
Internet. He held numerous
performances, lectures and
workshop tutorships (MUU,
Architonomy, Media
Feedback) around Europe,
and has initiated educative
media environments
(Ministry of Experiment). He is one of the
pioneers of European
interactive communication
projects.
