Die Stromquellen QUERY 350i / QUERY 350k / QUERY 400c QUERY 500cund QUERY651c sind geeignet für die Schweißarten STABELEKTRODEund MIG MAG bzw. MIG IMPULS im Bereich bis 350 A/400 A/ 500A/650A•Die Schweißleitungen dürfen max. 50 Meter lang sein.•Die Wasserkühlung Arbeitet störungsfrei bis zu einer max.

Höhe von 7 Meter. •WARNUNG Es ist verboten, anderes Zubehör als das hier beschriebene zu benutzen. Zuwiderhandlung kann sowohl eine Leistungsminderung des Gerätes als auch eine Gefährdung des Bedienpersonals zur Folge haben !

1 POSSIBLE APPLICATON

The power source type QUERY 350i/QUERY 350k QUERY400c/QUERY500c and QUERY651c is suited for cc electrode and Mig Mag welding workingin the range of 350/650 A .• The cable assembly can have a max lenght of 50 mt.• The correct working of the water cooling is granted by

connection cable max 7 mt height.• It is forbidden to use the equipment for different application from theones listed in this manual.A different use from the one here described can compromise the securityof work and the reability of the equipment.

POWER SAVING SYSTEM

Die QUERY-Schweißmaschinen sind mit einer Energie-Sparautomatik aus-gerüstet. Nach Beendigung des Schweißvorganges setzt nach einervorgegebenen Zeit (Programmiergerät) die STAND BY-Funktion ein, dasheißt:die Ventilatoren, die Wasserkühleinheit und der Inverter werdenabgeschaltet. Die Leistungsaufnahme des Gerätes beträgt nun nur noch20VA!Das Gerät wird automatisch wieder gestartet, wenn der Brennertastergedrückt oder das Drahtende das Werkstück berührt.

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

Prevent metal powder from accumulating inside the equipment.

Disconnect the power supply before everyoperation !Carry out the following periodic controls on the power source:• Clean the power source inside by means of low- pressure compressed air and bristel brushes.• Check the electric connections and all the connection cables.For the use and maintenance of the pressure reducers, consult the specific manuals.

Vermeiden, dass Metallstaub in der Stomquelle sich ansammelt.

Vor jedem Wartungseingriff die Strozuführung von der Anlage trennen.Den Generator regelmäßig prüfen:• Den Generator innen mit Druckluft mit niederem Druck und mit weichen Pinseln reinigen.• Elektrische Verbindungen und Anschlusskabel prüfen.Für die Instandhaltung und den Gebrauch der Druckreduzierer die entsprechenden Anleitungen zu Hilfe nehmen

POWER SAVING SYSTEM

Query power sources are provided with an automatic shut down system.The power source enters the Stand By function when the power saving systemactivates. The absorbed power supply goes down to 20VA. The Inverter, the ventilation and the water cooling unit stop working, avoiding ware out and introduction of dust in the equipment. Thepower source turns on automatically just by pressing the torch push button orwhen the electrode makes contact with the work piece.

The regulation and the control of the Stick Current isdisplayed when one of the switches of the electronic powerpotentiometer is pushed.

By pushing for a second one of the appropriate switches thedisplay visualises for two seconds the set current. The led“set I2” next to the display indicates that the display cor-responds to the power regulation. Um die Stromwerte zu ändern, drucken Sie die Taste + (plus) oder - (minus) des

Start welding considering that the functions:HOT STERTARC FORCE ANTISTICKINGare automatic and autoregulating withrespect to the electrode being welded.

HOT START: to improve the arc sticking, at the start of the welding the cur-rent is increased of 50% for 0,3 seconds.

ARC FORCE: to improve the arc stability, the current is automaticallyincreased during the drop transfer.

ANTISTICKING: after 0,8 seconds ofshort circuit between the electrode andthe work piece, the power source stops.

Mit der Taste TORCH SWITCH MODE kann unter folgenden Funktionenausgewählt werden: 2-Takt, 4-Takt, 2-Takt slope, 4-Takt slope.

Werden die Tasten der elektronischen Potentiometer für SCHWEIßSTROM (4) oderLICHTBOGENLÄNGE (5) gedrückt, erscheinen im Display die eingestellten Werte

Wird die Taste INSTRMENT MODE länger als zwei Sekunden gedrückt, erscheint im Display die Kennzifferdes ausgewählten Schweißprogrammes, zum Beispiel: PR6 = Programm 6, für zwei Sekunden. Währenddieser Zeit kann mit den Tasten CURRENT - + ein anderes Schweißprogramm gewählt werden (4)

Trough the ”instrument mode” switch it is possible to change the selection between “I out” and “V out”.

When one of the appropriate electronic potentiometer switches Set I2 (4) and ∆ arc (5) ispushed, the display automatically shows for two seconds the value memorised in the appropri-ate electronic potentiometer; obviously the display shows the value that has been selectedduring the regulation trough the electronic potentiometer switches (4) or (5).

AUSWAHL: SCHWEIßPROGRAMME / WORKING PROGRAM SELECTION

If the “Instrument mode” switch is pushed for more than two seconds the instrument shows the welding programin use, example PR6 = program 6, the program nr. stays on the display for two seconds during which it is possible tochange the program trough the switches + and - of the electronic current potentiometer (4).

E01 No circulation of the cooling water.Action: Check the water level on the unit or cooling or the conditions of the water pipes.

E02 Kurzschluss zwischen PLUS - und MINUS - Pol, dieser kann folgende Ursachen haben: Der Schweißdraht oder die Stabelektrode ”kleben” am Werkstück fest.Wenn die LICHTBOGENLÄNGE zu kurz eingestellt ist, erscheint im Display ebenfalls die Anzeige EO2.

Fehlerbehebung: Gerät abschalten - Schweißdraht oder Stabelektrode vom Werkstrück lösen - und von neuem wieder begimmen.

E02 Stuck wire or short circuit wires.

Action: Eliminate the problem which stops the power source for protection against short circuit. This problem might either be the wire or the electrode that is stuck to the piece, or the positive power cable stuck to the earth.

4.5.1 STICK / Stabelektrode:

Schweißstrom auf den gewünschten Wert einstellen. Dieser bleibt nach Beendigung desSchweißvorganges automatisch gespeichert.

4.5.1 STICK electrodeWhen the electrode function is selected, all the power source functions switch on theelectrode mode (see electrode installation).The current setting is memorised within the power source and every time the electrodemode is on, this function becomes the setting “Set 12” and can be controlled on thedigital instrument by pushing one of the electronic potentiometer switches.Every current modification is memorised on the “Stick current” at the beginning ofthe welding process.

4.5.2 FREE MIG

Schweißstrom auf den gewünschten Wert einstellen. Dieser bleibt nach Beendigung desSchweißvorganges automatisch gespeichert.

4.5.2 FREE normal Synergic

By selecting FREE, the power source turns on the Mig-Mag or on the Pulser Migconfiguration.Note: Mig, Mag or Pulser Mig depend on the program in use; on the wire feederit is possible to select 20 Synergic welding programs (PR1 ÷ PR20) .

4.5.3 ARBEITSPUNKTE 1 ÷ 6 / WORKING POINT 1 ÷ 6

In the first 6 programs (see table) 6 regulations (current and arc length) can be memorised,to simplify the use of the Query equipment.These regulations are displayed and can be changed in the same way described for the FREEmode; the only difference is in the way of memorising these welding points which takes placewhen the “Memor” switch on the inner part of the wire feeder is pushed (Query 350i,400-

500). For front panels with encoder and buttons only press on set I2 + e - atonce. (During the memorisation the display shows tree lines “- - - “ to indicate the achievement of the process).

Folgende Schritte sind hierzu notwendig:- Gewünschten Arbeitspunkt mit einer der
