Rack 2-2016 SHOP

ststs zeigen in der Galerie Reinhold Maas in Reutlingen die raumgreifen-de Installation „Rack 2-2016 SHOP“ als Teil eines Ausstellungsprojekts des Künstlerbunds Baden-Württemberg, das unter dem Motto „Die Kunst zu Handeln“ im Herbst 2016 im ganzen Südwesten Deutsch-lands Mitglieder des Künstlerbunds in ihren jeweiligen kommerziel-len Galerien zeigt. „Rack 2-2016 SHOP“ verwandelt den Galerieraum vorübergehend in einen Pop-up-Store zur Präsentation künstlerischer Handelsware von ststs, die in dieser Art und diesem Umfang noch nie-mals zuvor zu sehen war, bzw. eigens für diese Ausstellung entstanden ist. Der eingerichtete Shop ist eine orts- und situationsspezifische In-stallation, in der Kunstwerke in veredelten Lagerregalen entsprechend ihrem galerientypischen Warencharakter präsentiert werden. An der Wand hängt ausschließlich ein variantenreiches Plexiglasobjekt, das in Zusammenarbeit mit der Siebdruckerei Graffiti entstanden ist.

In the gallery of Reinhold Maas, Reutlingen, ststs is showing their ins-tallation „Rack 2-2016 SHOP“. It is part of an exhibition project named “Die Kunst zu Handeln” (The Art of Dealing) initiated by the Künstler-bund Baden-Württemberg. The project’s concept is that southwestern members of the Künstlerbund present themselves in their respective galleries.“Rack 2-2016 SHOP” is temporarily transforming the gallery space into a pop-up-store for presenting artistic trading goods by ststs. These have never been presented in such a way and some have been created especially for this exhibition. The arrangement of this pop-up-store installation is dependent on the given place and the given situation in the gallery. The works of art are being presented in refined shelves, just like goods are usually presented - in the surroundings of a gallery. Only one object is being presented on the wall – a multi-variant plexi-glas object, which was developed in collaboration with the silk-screen printing press “Graffiti”.
