Dann wird es Zeit für eine Betrachtung von außen. Tritt man einen Schritt zurück, so sieht man Zusammenhänge besser.

Was ist die Grundlage?Die Well-Architected-Framework (WA) Empfehlungen von AWS sind über Jahre in der Zusammenarbeit mit vielen Kunden und sehr unterschiedlichen Architekturen gewachsen und werden stetig weiterentwickelt. So gibt es auch spezialisierte Sichten für HPC und Serverless.Die Essenz daraus ist in einen Fragenkatalog geflossen, der den roten Faden für ein Review bildet.

Was erwartet Sie?In der ersten Phase analysiert einer unser zertifizierten Solution Architects die Architektur alleine. Dabei wird auch Architekturdokumentation gesichtet.Die Durchführung selber ist ein 4-6 stündiger Termin bei Ihnen vor Ort, an dem der Fragenkatalog mit Ihnen zusammen beantwortet wird. Das Ergebnis ist der Well Architected Report, der direkt im AWS Account im WA-Tool gespeichert wird.Dann fassen wir für Sie die Handlungsempfehlungen zusammen. Sie entscheiden den Umfang und beauftragen die Behebung (“remediation”) der nach Dringlich-keit gruppierten Maßnahmen. Diese Behebung kann von AWS durch Funding unterstützt werden.Nach Abschluss der Maßnahmen wird ein verkürztes Review durchgeführt und erneut im WA-Tool gespeichert.

Und jetzt?Informieren Sie sich unabhängig vom Review über die fünf Säulen des Well Architected Frameworks: Operational Excellence, Sicherheit, Zuverlässigkeit, Leistung, Effizienz sowie Kostenoptimierung.Gute Zeitpunkte für ein Review von Architekturen sind nicht nur Going-Live; auch wenn fertige Konzepte mit ersten bestehenden Proof of Concept Ressourcen in AWS vorhanden sind, kann es viel bringen, jetzt zu prüfen, ob man auf dem richtigen Weg ist.
