KURZCHARAKTERISTIK | FACHZEITSCHRIFTDer VGB PowerTech e.V. bündelt als internationaler technischer Fachverband für die Erzeugung und Speicherung von Strom und Wärme gemeinsame Aufgaben und Interessen der Branche. Technische Fragestellungen von Betreibern, Her stellern, Dienstleistern sowie aus Forschung und Entwicklung bilden das Aufgabenfeld des VGB. Darüber hinaus koordiniert der VGB zentrale Aktivitäten von Mitgliedsunternehmen in internationaler Kooperation.

Dies gilt für Entwicklung, Planung, Bau und Betrieb insbesondere hinsichtlich l des Einsatzes neuer Technologien (konventionell und erneuerbar), l der Umweltschonung, l der Wirtschaftlichkeit, l der Betriebs und Anlagensicherheit sowie des Arbeits und Gesundheitsschutzes,

l der Wettbewerbsfähigkeit unterschiedlicher Technologien und l der einschlägigen Gesetzgebung.

In die Arbeit des VGB sind rund 1.600 Experten mit einbezogen.

Ergebnisse der Aktivitäten von VGB sowie aus der gesamten Branche werden in der Fachzeitschrift VGB PowerTech, dem Verbandsorgan des VGB PowerTech e.V., publiziert.

Für Bau, Betrieb und Technik der konventionellen und erneuerbaren Stromerzeugung sowie speicherung genießt die Fachzeitschrift VGB PowerTech international einen ausgezeichneten Ruf.

l Im Editorial befassen sich namhafte Autoren mit aktuellen Fragestellungen der Energiewirtschaft.

l Von Experten begutachtete Fachbeiträge bürgen für die Qualität der Inhalte (Review).

MAIN CHARACTERISTICS | JOURNALVGB PowerTech e. V. is the international technical association for generation and storage of power and heat. It is the prime target of VGB PowerTech e. V. to support its member companies upon the generation and storage of electricity and heat and the related by-products. VGB also coordinates key activities of its members.

This applies in particular to: l operational and plant safety, l economic efficiency, l environmental compatibility, l application of new technology, l competitiveness of different technologies, l relevant legislation upon planning, construction, operation, and disassembly of plants.

About 1,600 power plant experts are organised in VGB committees, panels and working parties.

The results of this work and these activities are published in the monthly international profes-sional Journal VGB PowerTech, the organ of VGB PowerTech e. V. This is why this journal – a leading technical publication in the field of con-struction, operation and engineering of power plants and storage facilities – enjoys an excellent reputation in international expert circles: l renowned authors are writing the editorial of each issue,
