ellInGton Hotel BerlIn, or the „Haus nürnberg“, as it was originally called, is decorated with one of the longest, most eye-catching and perhaps one of the most attractive façades in Berlin. the original 185-meter-long façade remains unchanged since 1928, in all its glory under monument protection.

Inside the building the entrance halls, staircases and several rooms and halls have retained the charm of the late nineteen-twenties. the “Femina Hall”, the legendary “Badewanne” and the no less legendary “dschungel” nightclub, have been the mee-ting point of Berlins who is who and visitors of the city since day one.

the ellington hotel has always been the home of great music: this is where louis Armstrong, ella Fitzgerald, duke ellington and david Bowie played to name just a few.
