The town of Grevesmühlen has an area of around 12 ha that can be individually subdivided, purchased or leased. There is a legally-binding land-use plan for the business park and its total of 22 ha. The main focus is on the use of waste heat from the production processes of the adjacent wastewater treatment plant and the local biogas plant by means of remote heat-ing connections. The community of Malliss has an area of around 8 ha of land in the Malliss Business and Industrial Park. The area is located be-tween the cities of Hamburg and Berlin, close to borders of Lower Saxony and Brandenburg. The A 14 and A 24 autobahns are 30 km away and, as of 2015, will only be around 18 km away with a new autobahn access. Located directly on the B 191 high-way, the site is directly visible from the road. The road network in the area is designed for heavy-duty transport. The current plans to build a biogas plant at the site are very advantageous for the development of aquaculture operations. The Nestlé Germany has a production facility in the neighboring village of Conow.

The community of Malliss which is approximately 20 km south-west of Ludwigslust-Parchim County looks back on to a long tradition as an industrial location. Clay mining, brick manufac-tures, abandoned brown coal mines and a former salt mine ex-isted here in the past. Malliss is within the Griese Gegend area. The Elde Canal that is part of the Müritz-Elde waterway runs on the southern edge of the municipality. Malliss has a good infra-structure with an elementary and a junior high school, a kinder-garten and a nursery, and shopping for daily needs. Malliss and its surroundings offer numerous excursions from a tourism and cultural point of view.

The Wanzlitz Business Park is offering tenants approx. 10 ha of undeveloped space. There are approximately 42,000 square meters of f loor space available in the adjacent buildings, one of the largest storage facilities available in Mecklenburg-Vor-pommern. The company DAUERHOLZ has a roughly 8 ha plot in an in-dustrial area near the village of Dabel about 6 km east of Stern-berg on offer. The designated area about 3 km outside of the town bound-ary was formerly the largest sugar factory in Europe. The old factory site was completely cleared. The area of 230,000 sq.m. is designated as an industrial area. The site is of particular in-terest as an aquaculture site as a biogas plant is to be built di-rectly on the area of the complex and the waste heat could be used. The state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is offering an approxi-mately 141 ha area that does not yet have a legally-binding land-use plan, but that is recommended for commercial and industrial development. A reclassification as a priority area is planned. The location of the area, in close proximity to the A 20 autobahn and to the A 19 / A 20 autobahn junction, provides excellent transport links to the seaport of Rostock as well as to the cities of Rostock, Hamburg, Berlin and Szczecin. The town of Malchow is offering investors around 7 ha of a fully developed area in the North Business Park. It is located on the north-eastern outskirts of Malchow. The city of Malchin has an area of 12 ha for sale. Of these, 2 ha of which are within the scope of a legally-binding land-use plan. There are a biomass cogeneration plant, two biogas plants and several commercial and industrial companies with which syner-gies are possible in the immediate vicinity. Companies including Cargill Germany, FUGEMA Malchin or Elde Beton are located nearby. A railway network connection for loading / unloading already exists in the industrial port; agricultural areas for the production of green plants are located nearby.

Malchin, with about 7,700 inhabitants, is a small town in the center of the hilly Mecklenburger Schweiz area. In 2005, it was awarded the „most business friendly community in MV” prize.
