Col (Dr) S.S. Khera (Retd.), CEO

A seasoned Technocrat, an engineering graduate,doctorate in management and Fellow of Institution ofEngineers (India), having 22 years of experience inhandling engineering projects across the country inmultidisciplinary projects encompasses an entire spectrumof assignments. Mr. Navdeep, Director

He is a successful technocrat and manages his diversifiedbusiness empire comprising of manufacture and retailing ofgold and diamond jewelry and manufacture/marketing ofdistribution transformers and diesel generating sets. organizations like Border Roads Organization, Military Engineering Service and

Lanco Group. He specializes in environmental control & design, Project

management, operation & maintenance, quality control & technical evaluation of

civil engineering project and arbitration of engineering contracts.

Col Sanjiv Puri (Retd.)

A veteran engineer with over 30 years of experience in Planning, Quality Control,and approval of workmanship in the field of construction of major highways andairports. He has worked as GM (Tech) in NHAI and in similar positions in BorderRoads Organization and is well versed with international best practices in theModern Highway construction technology and use of modern constructionequipment and techniques. His involvement in the large highway projects withheavy earthworks and working in tough terrains (Kargil Air Field at 9000 ft Height)makes him capable to lead in any environment.

Mr. KK Kaul

A highly experienced urban planning expert, he is Masters in Geography, Mastersin Regional Planning, Advance PG certificate in Town & Country planning. He is aFellow of Institute of Town Planners and has almost 40 years experience in townplanning services that include the planning of roads, transport, drainage systems,water systems, schools, hospitals etc. He held the coveted appointment of ChiefTown Planner, Greater Mohali.

Mr. Sunil Bansal

A Chartered Accountant by profession is associated with the group as an advisoron financial matters. Mr. Ranjan Dhar

Starting out with his brothers constructions company, Ranjan has come a long

way. With over 20 years of experience in running and operating infrastructure and

construction companies, Ranjan also specializes in land bank management, site

identification, water works and roadways. His expertise and network allows him

access to premium land across the country. He is also well versed in site

identification for international as well as domestic hospitality firms. Ranjan is also

well connected with Government agencies as he has undertaken various projects

for them.

Mr Chaitanya Bedi

After finishing his Hotel Management from the prestigious Indian Institute of Hotel

Management operated by the Taj Group, Chaitanya set-up an extremelysuccessful Hospital catering company. While operating this company he

completed his Masters in Business Administration and also diversified into

management of guesthouses for various companies. His vast operational

experience gave him an edge in understanding the needs of various hospitality

firms both national and international and he has successfully negotiated various

The world today is facing severe shortage of skilled manpower. There is no dearth

of talent. The challenge is of getting talent that meets the need of the industrialworld. In other words, the challenge is that of employability. India, a relatively

smaller economy with much bigger workforce faces a deeper crisis, perhaps far

deeper than any other nation in the world so we have to start re-skilling our work

force. A degree-driven Indian society treats education as a proxy for skill levels.

This creates a strong demand-supply gap. Also, there is an urgent need for up-

gradation of skills of rural educated youth.

To meet this challenge, the need was felt to provide proper skills training as per the

needs of the industry and Zanders Skills Development Centre (ZSDC) was born

in 2009, with the primary aim of providing World-class skill education in tune withcontemporary requirements. The academic activities have been launched after

creating a World-class infrastructure at its Mohali Campus.

Our motto is FROM DEPENDENCE to INDEPENDENCE The main objective ofZanders Skills Development Initiative is to generate social inclusiveness andprovide the socially and economically weaker people a chance to be part of themainstream economy and not be dependent on anyone.With the aim to transformthe unemployed youth into a potential asset for the nation, Zanders SkillsDevelopment has collaborated with City & Guilds (UK) to provide skilled training &

enhance the employability of the rural unemployed youth and contribute towardsreducing unemployment among the youth by equipping them for suitable industrialemployment.Thus making a significant contribution to the nation building by makingavailable trained, self reliant & contributing workforce and to serve a social causeby providing & enhancing the employment opportunities to the masses.
