COACHS CORNER
Hello Fellow TAZ,
This week was another great win and I want to congratulate all of the swimmers on a stellar
performance. Our sportsmanship has really come a long way since the beginning of the season
and it was really on display this Saturday.
I saw just about every swimmer after every race shaking hands and congratulating the
Barracudas. I want to thank my coaching staff for a job well done for making sure our swimmers
did this task.
I want to point out two swimmers in particular who broke TAZ team records this weekend. Katie
Tadayeski shattered the team record by 1.48 in the 25 yard Backstroke swimming it in just 20.62
seconds. The record was previously held by Claire Tomaszewski and now Katie has the league
record in her crosshairs. Its only a matter of time before she breaks the SSL record which she is
less than a half second away from.

Trevor Dong broke the Mens 15-18 50 Freestyle TAZ record, it was previously held by Josh
Verner. Trevor swam a lightning fast 22.13 second 50 Free and beat the record by just 0.11
seconds. This is now the 3rd team record Trevor holds in his age group.
Congratulations to these two standout TAZ swimmers and to all of the TAZ who competed this
weekend. I can't wait to get back to another week of work and pay a visit to the Loomis Basin
Dolphins on Saturday.
Keep up the good work, GO TAZ!!!

HONORABLE TAZ
The following swimmers were caught being honorable this past weekend and we want torecognize them!
Skylar Sandersfor cheering on her teammate during breaststroke. "It really helped to have
someone cheering me on!"
Merry Chenswam in the 200 free relay after one of the relay members left early. With literally
seconds before the start, she threw on her cap and goggles and jumped in the pool. She swam
amazingly and saved the day!
Adam Socoleanfor making sure he shook hands with his fellow swimmers after his race.
"Awesome young man!"
Seamus Galvinswam his butterfly race without googles after his sister accidentally lost them!
Even without googles he swam a great race and didn't let it stop him.

Trevor Dongwas feeling ill at the meet but still swam his races. He also swam in the Special
Olympics relay.
Ethan Yanfinished his 25-yard free and was insistent on shaking hands with both Broadstone

Thank you to all of our alternates who came to ready bench prepared to swim and filled in as
needed. The following alternates were ready to help out our TAZ relays, but did not get a
chance to swim. Thank you!
