Top professionals from the automotive industry discuss important questions for the sector.

Welcome to the Automechanika Academy!

Diverse and changing customer requirements, more stringent regulations and guidelines as well as drivers of technological change are factors that manufacturers, suppliers and service providers need to address. Again this year, Automechanika Frankfurt offers its visitors a large and wide-ranging programme of lectures – with one major difference. The lectures from around 50 international speakers last no more than 30 minutes. Listen and then join in the discussion!

10:30 Uhr Schlank, flexibel, zuverlässig: Die Umgestaltung globaler Logistik in einem komplexen Umfeld Moderator: Hans-Kristian Harder, Projektleiter des Forums Automobillogistik, Bundes- vereinigung Logistik (BVL) Sprecher: David Werth, Senior Manager International Warehouse Logistics, Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket GmbH & Co. 10:00 – 11:30The BVL Forum on “Complexity in the aftermarket – logistical challenges”Between 75 % and 80 % of the profits of automobile manu-facturers come from products and services in the after-sales market. The turnover in Germany alone amounts to around € 30 billion. However, increasing competition is leading to higher costs for parts manufacturers and the wholesale trade against a background of ongoing consolidation in the after-sales markets. To reduce this pressure in the high-volume countries of West Europe, there are signs of a trend towards concentration and collaboration.

10:05 Getting a successful grip on the diversity of components and the complexity of the market Presenter: Hans-Kristian Harder, Project Manager of the Automobile Logistics Forum, Bundes- vereinigung Logistik (BVL) Speaker: Claus Stepputat, Director OES Sales, Hella KGaA Hueck & Co., Lippstadt

10:30 Lean, Flexible, Reliable: Reshaping Global Logistics in a Complex Environment Presenter: Hans-Kristian Harder, Project Manager of the Automobile Logistics Forum, Bundes- vereinigung Logistik (BVL) Speaker: David Werth, Senior Manager International Warehouse Logistics, Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket GmbH & Co.
