Founded in 1984, Kibar Holding took its first step in industrialism with Kartal Metal Plate Processing Unit in 1972. It started galvanize production with foundation of Galvanize Production Plants in 1974, which is today called Assan Iron and Steel, and in 1982 as Insurance Agency.Kibar Foreign Trade which was established in 1985 with the aim to carry out foreign trade activities of the Group, operates in fields of export, import and transit trade of mostly Iron Steel products besides export of the products manufactured by Kibar Group. In addition, Kibar Foreign Trade carries out contract manufacturing of various iron & steel products of which it procures raw materials, and exports them to several countries.Assan Aluminum which produces and trades flat rolled aluminum (coil, sheet and folio) started its operations in the year 1988, in Tuzla Plants. In 1989, the distributorship of South Korean Hyundai Motor Company was granted; in 1990, Assan Panel Tuzla Plants started its operations to produce polyurethane-filled sandwich panel, monolayer corrugated sheet covering and accessories and supplementary elements. In 1993, Kibar Insurance Brokerage Services was founded, in the same year ISPAK which was operating in flexible packaging sector was taken over and started its operations as Kibar Holding affiliate. In 1994, Hyundai Assan Automotive was founded by the partnership of South Korean Hyundai Motor Company and Kibar Holding, and the groundbreaking of Hyundai Assan İzmit Factory was performed on September 25, 1995. Still in 1995, Bareks Foreign Trade was founded to develop relationships with Commonwealth of Independent States.

In 1996, Assan Hanil Automotive operating in automobile sub-industry sector was founded as the partnership of South Korean company Hanil E-Hwa and Kibar Holding. In the same year, Assan Logistics & Fleet Leasing which is providing door to door logistics and operational fleet leasing service national and international levels today, was founded.Hyundai Assan İzmit Factory whose groundbreaking was performed in Kocaeli, in 1997 and which was built within a record high time period, engaged in serial production in July. Assan Hanil Automotive Plants whose groundbreaking was performed in February, started their production in September.In 1998, Assan Gıda was founded with the title Assan Foods to produce paste and ketchup; in 2001, Kibar International was founded in city of Lausanne in Switzerland, to support imports and exports of our companies engaging in international trade.In 2005, Assan Panel İskenderun Plant was launched; in 2006, Dilovası Plants were taken over and launched as Assan Aluminum Dilovası Plants. Still in 2006, Kibar Holding Information Technologies Department which meets Information Technologies needs of Kibar Holding companies in different sectors, brought a new dimension to their works.In 2007, Sicpa Assan Product Security Industry was founded to provide technological service and solution packs to enable prevention of unrecorded, counterfeit and contraband products by developing solutions according to need and situation in very important fields, tracking products in supply chain in brand and product security and in distinguishing counterfeit from original. Within the same year, Assan Construction was founded to provide services in every field of the construction sector. In 2008, Assan Real Estate was founded to handle management of domestic and international real estates, establish investment fields and prepare projects on them.In 2009, Assan Panel Balıkesir Plants and a year later, Assan Panel Dilovası Metal Dyeing Plants started their operations. Starting out with

contemporary expectations of Turkish society, Kibar Holding successfully put into effect use of environment-friendly pentane gas in sandwich panel production instead of the ozone-depleting freon gas in atmosphere, within the scope of a project implemented with contributions of Tübitak.In 2010, Ege Assan Food was founded for tomato paste export, in the İzmir Free Zone located in İzmir. In the same year, Assan Liman İşletmeleri, the 3rd container port of Turkey and operating in İskenderun, was founded with the title of Assan Port.In 2011, Posco Assan TST Steel Industry was founded by the partnership of Kibar Holding, Posco and Daewoo International companies, to produce stainless steel with Cold Rolling Technology in Turkey. The groundbreaking of the plant located in İzmit Asım Kibar Organized Industry Zone was performed on September 28, 2011.In 2011, TSI Aviation Seats was founded to design, produce and repair seats for aircrafts with the equal partnership of Assan Hanil Automotive, Turkish Airlines (THY) and Turkish Technic. Still in 2011, the first production plant abroad of Kibar Holding, Kibar Industry Company was founded in Jordan, for sandwich panel production. In the same year, Kibar Energy Distribution Industry, the first investment of Kibar Holding in energy sector, was founded to import and sell natural gas in the Turkish Energy Market.On January 26, 2012; groundbreaking of Assan Aluminum Dilovası Dyeing Plants was performed. Kibar Industry Jordan Plants, for which the factory groundbreaking was performed in April of the same year, started its operations in December. On August 8, 2012; groundbreaking of Assan Hanil Dyeing Plant in İzmit was performed. On May 3, 2013; Assan Aluminum Dilovası Dyeing Plants started their operations with the first coil coming out of the Assan dyeing line during the ceremony for starting hot tests. In the same year, on July; Assan Hanil Dyeing Plant launched its operations; on August 15, Posco Assan TST started production and the shares of Assan Port Operator were transferred to United Investment Limited and Galata Port.

Headquartered in Istanbul, Assan Foods was established in Balıkesir - Susurluk in 1998. Industrial investment size of Assan Foods within the use of the latest technologies has reached 40 million USD today. Assan Foods grows its tomatoes, the raw material for its production using hybrid, genetically not modified seeds. Every phase of agriculture is controlled. Tomatoes are carefully and manually harvested in order to produce pure and clean products. Ege Assan Food was established in 2010 by Assan Food Industry and Trade Inc. inside the Aegean Free Zone in İzmir to export tomato paste in order to increase competition power in global markets and meet customer need and expectations.Raw materials of products produced are from Turkey and imported from California, USA where world’s biggest tomato paste raw materials are produced and subjected to reprocess in İzmir plants and generally filled and sold in tin cans and glass packages.They are generally sold to Northern Africa, Middle East, Arab Peninsula and Far East countries’ markets and sale attempts for other countries are successfully performed.Having 20.000-tons/year tomato paste production capacity, Ege Assan Food Plant consists of 1200 m2 production area, 2400 m2 storage area and service management buildings.Producing in accordance with quality control

ASSAN HANIL AUTOMOTIVE & TRADE INC.

Assan Hanil was established in 1996 with partnership between Kibar Holding and South Korea automotive sub-industry company Hanil E-Hwa. It has started production as a sub-industry player in the automotive industry as of 1997.Although it was providing parts only for Hyundai Assan in the first years of its establishment, it became one of the most important providers of Ford - Otosan in 2005.Assan Hanil produces driver and passenger seats, door panels, ceiling and carpet covering, rear parcel shelf, front and rear bumpers, pre control panels, inflation parts, compartment etc. at its 30.000 m² factory in Kocaeli with approximately 770 dynamic staff.In 2013, “Plastic Injection and Painting Plant” was opened within the Asım Kibar Organized Industry Zone. Yearly 2.400.000 external trim parts are planned to be produced in the plant having 13.000 m² closed area. Having ISO/TS 16949, ISO 14001, 2011 OHSAS 18001, Q1 and 5 Star Quality System Certificates and alsoIRIS (International Railway Industry Standards), Assan Hanil took another important step and created its R&D center

approved by T.R. Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology in order to increase service quality provided to its customers and increase the scale of transportation industry. It became one of the few companies that was granted this support. Assan Hanil opened R&D Design Office in Bursa Uludağ University Campus in 2011. It was required for a strategic decision. Assan Hanil Automotive and Turkish Airlines and THY Teknik A.Ş. agreed to produce aircraft seats together in Turkey. Joint Venture Company established under the name “Turkish Seat Industry and Trade Inc.” (TSI) shall perform aircraft seat design, production, logistics support, maintenance, repair and modification and sale and marketing. Products shall be the first final products to be placed to commercial aircrafts in Turkey. Assan Hanil undertook internal and external trim parts production of M2 class minibus to be produced by Karsan and HMC (Hyundai Motor Company). Assan Hanil Bursa Demirtaş Organized Industrial Zone Production Plant having 9000 m² closed area shall be opened as of March 2014 for this objective.

Turkish consumers first met the Hyundai brand in 1989 when Kibar Holding became its Turkish distributor. Hyundai decided to establish its first overseas production center in Turkey considering the high potential of Turkish market where it had quite an important success in a very short time and Turkey’s geographical closeness to Europe. Started to be constructed in İzmit on September 25, 1995 and completed in a record short time and starting serial production in July, 1997, Hyundai Assan Factory was opened with a ceremony held on September 20, 1997. Factory consists of 1-million m² area in Ali Kahya District of İzmit and 233.000-m² factory site and 108.000 m² closed area. Established with a 180 million USD investment at first stage, the factory now has 200.000 unit production capacity. Hyundai Assan İzmit Factory is very important as the door of Hyundai Motor Company opening to Europe with its new i10 model in Segment A and i20 model in Segment B produced by Turkish labor and exported to the whole region; mainly to the European countries.Producing over 850.000 vehicles until today, Hyundai Assan Factory produces 36 vehicles per hour on avarage and daily total production is approximately 520 vehicles.Applying ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, Hyundai Assan Factory’s products i10 and i20s have highest production quality like global production centers.Upon a declaration on May, 2012, the yearly production capacity of Hyundai Assan İzmit Factory was increased to 200.000 with a new investment. Hyundai Assan included production of i10 model at the end of 2013 with a 382

million USD investment. Hyundai’s New Segment A model the i10 started to be produced on September 26, 2013 and is exported to all over Europe. Hyundai Assan employed additional 750 people for the factory with this investment. Thanks to this investment reaching to 607 million USD all together with sub-industry producers, new employment opportunities were created for almost 2.400 people in the region. Hyundai Assan Factory became an even more important production center with its Segment A and B vehicles.Relying on its quality and products, Hyundai is the first and only brand providing 5 Years Producer Company Mechanical Guarantee for all its vehicles in Turkey. Located 45 km away from Amman, the Capital, the production plant is established on 10.000 m2 ‘closed and in total 65.000 m2 area. Started operations in late 2012, the plant produces polyurethane filled sandwich panel and complementary elements at first stage with a continuous line of 4,5 million-m² capacity.Rock wool filled sandwich panel production is within investment plans. TSI AVIATION SEATS INDUSTRY AND TRADE INC.

TSI is a joint venture company founded in the year 2012 by the equal partnership of THY and Assan Hanil, to produce the first domestic aviation seat in Turkey, with its slogan “We Thought Globally We Produced Locally”.The founding purpose of TSI is to design, produce, repair and sell all kinds of aircrafts and to provide the spare part support concerning the related parts.Focusing on the issue of weight, which is very important in the aviation sector and has a direct impact on fuel consumption, and by designing quality, light and innovative products on competitive prices; it aims at grabbing a large slice of the world civil aviation market with a very high added value. Revisions of the existing buildings were completed and the Painting Line Plant with a closed area of 13,000 m2 was put into operation in 2013.« Additional Production Plant» project for construction activities performed in Kocaeli region on behalf of Assan Hanil Automotive Industry and Trade Inc. was started as of August 7th, 2012. Having 12.150 m2 construction area and approximately 11.500 m2 open car park, the project was completed in approximately 8 months. Assan Hanil Additional Production Plant has 6 divisions. The first stage of the project was completed; second stage, having approximately 6.200 m2 closed stock site was also completed and started its operations.Improving continously by following new technologies, having a strong position in construction industry with its projects, managerial and technical personnel, Assan Construction Inc. continues growing with its first day effort and determination.
