A N L E I T U N G :

1. Heben Sie das Fahrzeug vorne an.

2. Trennen Sie die elektrische Verbindung zum Luftmassenmesser und Druckschalter

der Servolenkung.

3. Demontieren Sie alle Teile die nötig sind, um einen freien Zugang zum Zahnriemen zu haben.

Diese sind z.B. das rechte Rad an der Vorderachse, der Vorratsbehälter der Servolenkung

(Schlauchleitungen können am Behälter verbaut bleiben) Luftfi ltergehäuse, der Mehrrillen-

riemen und seine Abdeckung. GenauereBeschreibungen fi nden Sie in der fahrzeugspezifi schen

Service Literatur.

4. Drehen Sie die Kurbelwelle nach rechts bis kurz vor 1. Zyl. OT .

5. Entfernen Sie den Verschlussstopfen aus dem Zylinderblock.

6. Setzen Sie nun den Kurbelwellenfi xierdorn ein.

7. Drehen Sie langsam die Kurbelwelle nach rechts, bis diese am Fixierdorn anliegt.

8. Die Markierungen der Nockenwellenräder müssen nun in 12Uhr Stellung stehen.

9. Setzen Sie das Fixierwerkzeug auf die Nockenwellenräder. (siehe Abb.1)

10. Die Kanten des Fixierwerkzeugs müssen mit den Markierungen der Nockenwellenräder fl uch-

ten. (Punkt-Markierung auf Einlass NW und Linien-Markierung Auslass NW).

11. Blockieren Sie das Schwungrad. (Werkzeug nicht im Lieferumfang)

12. Lösen Sie die Verschraubung Kurbelwellen-Riemenscheibe und entfernen Sie die untere Ab-

deckung des Zahnriemens. Abb. 1

13. Drücken Sie die Spannrolle zurück, bis der Fixierstift in die Spannrollenmechanik eingesetzt

werden kann.

14. Der Zahnriemen kann jetzt demontiert werden. Montage erfolgt in umgekehrter Reihenfolge.

C O N T E N T :

M A N U A L

1. Lift up the front part of the vehicle.

2. Disconnect air mass gauge and pressure switch of the power steering from electric circuit.

3. Disassemble all parts needed to get access to the tooth belt. These parts include the right wheel

of the front axle, the storage tank of the power steering (hose lines can stay mounted on the

tank) air fi lter body, multi groove belt and its cover. Check the specifi c vehicle’s handbook for

further reference.

4. Turn the crank shaft clockwise up to the fi rst cylinder OT.

5. Remove the sealing plug from the cylinder block.

6. Apply the crank shaft bolt.

7. Turn the crank shaft slowly clockwise until it is closely aligned with the crank shaft bolt.

8. The check marks of the cam shaft should point upwards (12 o’ clock).

9. Apply the fi xing tool to the edges of the cam shaft (see fi g. 1).

10. The edges of the fi xing tool have to be aligned with the check marks of the cam shaft, exactly.

(Pointed check mark on inlet cam shaft and lined check mark on outlet cam shaft.)

11. Block the fl ywheel. (Tool not included)

12. Unscrew the cam shaft pulley nut and remove the lower cover of the tooth belt.

13. Push back the clutch wheel until the fi xing bolt can be put into the clutch wheel mechanism. Fig. 1

14. Now, the tooth belt can be disassembled. Assembly is carried out in reversed order.
