Der Shifter ist für Rennfahrzeuge ohne Innenausstattung vorgesehen. Bei eingebauter Mittelkonsole muss diese entfernt werden oder soweit ausgeschnitten werden bis eine

entsprechende Freigängigkeit für die Schaltseile gewährleistet ist.

Der Schaltbock sollte direkt auf das Blech des Mitteltunnels geschraubt werden, evtl. vorhandener Teppich

muss ausgeschnitten werden.

The shifter is intended for Racing Cars without interior equipment.

If center console is mounted, it must be dismounted or modified to

achieve an acceptable space for the cables.

The new unit should be mounted

directly on to the floorboard, so part of the carpet must be removed.

Generell auf jede Kugel eine Dichtmanschette montieren und Kugelpfannen einfetten.

Nach kompletter Montage des Shifters die Kugelköpfe mit

Der Ausbau Remove

• Originalschalthebel und Schaltstangen komplett ausbauen, auch alle Umlenkungen am Lenkgetriebe entfernen.

• Getriebeeingangs-Doppelhebel ausbauen

• Remove the original parts of the shifter including the redirection at the steering gear.

• Remove the dual lever

Blecharbeiten: Bodywork:• Shifter auf den Mitteltunnel stellen

und die 3 zusätzlichen Bohrungen anzeichnen. An diesen Stellen je ein 6,5mm Loch bohren und entgraten.

• Für die Durchführung der Schaltseile In den Mitteltunnel zwei 18mm Löcher bohren. Die Position der Löcher zeigt folgendes Foto:

• Place the shifter on the floorboard and mark the 3 new holes as shown on the next picture. Drill 6.5mm holes (see next picture) and deburr.

• Drill two 18mm holes into the floorboard for the cables. The position of this holes is shown in the next picture

Die Maße beziehen sich auf die Außenkante des Bereits montierten Shifters; hierfür den Shifter mit einer Schraube anschrauben und

ausrichten. Die Position der Löcher gelten als

Mindestabstand zum Shifter. Vor dem Bohren prüfen ob die Freigängigkeit

der Schaltseile unter dem Tunnel gewährleistet ist. Ggf. Bohrungen

entsprechend verschieben

The measurements refer to the outer edge of the mounted shifter; there for you mount

the shifter with one screw and line it up. The positions of the holes are the minimum

distance to the unit.

Before drilling you must check if the cables have enough space under the tunnel. If not, change position of holes as far as necessary.

In die gebohrten Löcher eine entsprechende Metallstange stecken und vorsichtig nach hinten umlegen, dadurch ergibt sich die optimale Durchführung für die Schaltseile:

Place a metal rod into the drilled holes and pull the rod carefully backwards. So that you achieve the best feed through for the cables.

Der Einbau Mounting

• Getriebe / Motoreinheit abstützen. • Den linken Aluminium-Motorhalter ausbauen.

• Den neuen Motorhalter mit der aufgeschweißten Seilklemme zusammen mit der Schaltseilhalterung einbauen. ( wenn kein Tauschteil geschickt wurde, zuerst den Halter gemäß beiliegender Zeichnung umarbeiten) Nur ein Befestigungsloch überschneidet sich, die beiden 5mm Aludistanzscheiben werden an den hinteren beiden Bohrungen zwischen Getriebegehäuse und Alu-Motorträger montiert.

• Den Doppelhebel am

Getriebeeingang durch mitgelieferte kurze Version ersetzen ( wenn kein Tauschteil geschickt wurde, zuerst den Hebel gemäß beiliegender Zeichnung umarbeiten)

• Den Gewindebolzen auf dem der Umlenkhebel montiert wird um 3mm abschleifen.

• Die oberen 3 Getriebegehäuseschrauben ausbauen und Schaltseilhalterung anschrauben

• Support the gear / Motor unit

• Remove the left Aluminum- engine holder.

• Mount the new engine holder with the welded cable clamp together with the shifter cable rack. (if you did not send us an exchange part, you first have to change the engine-holder. – see attached Drawing) Only one hole overlaps, the two 5mm Alu-distance rings are used at the rear holes between gear unit and alu-engine holder.

• Exchange the dual lever at the gear unit entry through the new shorter one. (if you did not send us an exchange part, you first have to change the lever – see attached Drawing)

• Shorten the threaded bolt for the redirection lever by 3mm

• Remove the upper 3 screws of the gear case and mount the shifter cable rack

• Schubstange „S“ auf den Getriebeeingangshebel aufdrücken und sichern

• Mount connecting Rod „S“ on the gear unit entry lever and secure it.

Mounting the shifter and shifter cables

Beide Schaltseile am Schaltturm befestigen, das Wählseil zum L Hebel links muss so weit wie möglich aus dem Gehäuse herausstehen, innen ist kein Gewindegang sichtbar. Das Schaltseil ca 12mm in die Gewindehülse am Turm einschrauben und mit Scheibe / Mutter kontern

Mount both of the cables at the unit. The choose cable to the L-Lever left has to stand out as much as possible of the case, inside there is no threads to see. Screw shift cable 12mm into the tread tube at main unit and fix it with nut and disher.

Für die Montage der Muttern die Gummimanschetten abziehen, die Muttern lassen sich dann darüber stülpen.

To mount the nuts take off the rubber boot, then the nuts can be mounted easily.

Beim Schaltseil Gummikappe weglassen Das Seil mit der aufgeschweißten 13mm Kugelpfanne (l=1150)ist das Wählseil und wird in Fahrtrichtung links eingebaut. Das kürzere (l=1020)ist das Schaltseil und wird mittig montiert. Danach Kugelköpfe aufschrauben und auf Wähl- Umlenkhebel und Schalthebel aufdrücken ( werden Später noch justiert )

Don’t mount a rubber sleeve at the Shift-cable The cable with welded 13mm seat (length=1150mm) is the selection cable and has to be mounted in driving direction left side. The shorter one (length=1020mm) is the shift cable and has to be mounted in the middle. After this, mount the balls and press on the levers (adjustment follows later)

Die am Schaltbock montierten Schaltseile nun vom Innenraum aus durch die Löcher führen und Schaltbock auf dem Mitteltunnel montieren. 2 Schlauchstücke dabei in die 18er Löcher einführen. Schalt -und Wählseil in die Klemmen der Halteplatte einschrauben.

The mounted cables now have to be fed through the holes and the unit can be mounted on the plate (Middle tunnel) fed 2 tube pieces into the 18mm holes. When mounting the back screw lift the unit a bit. Mount shift and select cable in the clamps of the holder plate.

Einstellung der Schaltwege 5 Gang Getriebe

• Getriebe per Hand am Umlenkhebel in 3. Gang schalten. Der 3. Gang befindet sich in Fahrtrichtung gesehen links. Um Ihn einzulegen, Getriebeeingangshebel ohne Last einfach nach links schwenken

• Select the 3rd gear manually. The 3rd gear is in driving direction left. To select it, pull the gearshift-lever easy to left.

• Jetzt gewünschte Mittellage des Schalthebels ermitteln und unter dem Schaltbock mit Inbusschlüssel den unteren Federanschlag (8) festschrauben. In Mittellage soll der Schalthebel leicht nach rechts geneigt sein

• Now select the wanted middle position of the gearshift and adjust the lower spring stop under the unit with Allen wrench. In middle position the gearshift should be slightly turned to the right.

Nun die Kugelpfanne am Schalthebel so einstellen das bei eingelegtem 3. Gang noch ca 5 mm Luft zum hinteren Gehäuse sind.

Now adjust the ball seat so that with selected 3rd gear there is about 5mm Gap to back of the housing of the unit.

Der Wählweg des Schalthebels lässt sich wie in Bild 10 gezeigt durch versetzen des unteren Kugelgelenkes beeinflussen. Dies kann notwendig sein wenn sich nicht alle Gangebenen mit dem Schalthebel erreichen lassen (Wählweg zu groß) oder aber die Ebenen zu dicht nebeneinander liegen (Wählweg zu klein). Der Umlenkhebel sollte in ebene 3. / 4. Gang (Mittellage) etwa wie im Bild gezeigt stehen

The selection-way of the gearshift is adjustable by changing the position of the lower ball joint. This can be necessary, if not all gears can be achieved (selection-way too much) or the levels of the gears are to close to each other.( selection-way too small) The bell crank should be placed in the 3rd /4th gear (middle position) like shown in the picture.

Per Schalthebel Getriebe in Ebene 1 / 2 schalten und in Anschlagschraube Z einschrauben bis sich die Gänge in Ebene 1 / 2 sauber wechseln lassen

Select level 1 / 2 with gearshift and turn stop screw Z until the gears 1

and 2 can be selected well.

• Nun per Schalthebel Getriebe in 5.Gang-Ebene schalten und Anschlagschraube X einschrauben bis sich der 5. Gang sauber einlegen lässt.

• Sperrstift über Zug betätigen und Getriebe in Rückwärtsgangebene schalten. Anschlagschraube Y einschrauben bis sich der Rückwärtsgang sauber einlegen lässt.

Now select gear 5 with the gearshift and turn stop screw X until the 5th gear can be selected clearly. Press rear stop bolt and enter rear gear. Turn stop screw Y until the rear gear can be selected clearly.
