Bei geringer Knochenstärke bis zu 3mm, kann der Kieferknochen inder Mitte gespaltet werden und durch spezielle Meißel, die so ge-nannten Osteotome, auseinander gebracht werden. Somit entsteht ein Knochenspalt (Bone Split) zwischen bukkaler und lingualer bzw. bukkaler und palatinaler Knochenlamelle. In den "gewonnenen“ Knochenspalt kann dann ein Implantat inseriert werden.

Ein weiterer Einsatz der Osteotome wäre z. B. das "Ausmeißeln“ vonKnochentransplantaten. Das ERGOPLANT Griffkonzept unterstützt denAnwender auch bei dieser Indikation. Um bei dünnem Knochenange-bot eine Fraktur der Knochenlamelle zu verhindern, haben wir speziellhierfür mit Dr. Stricker ein innovatives "Stufen-Osteotom" entwickelt.

In case of poor bone thickness up to 3mm, it's possible to split thejaw-bone (Bone Split) and separate it by means of special chisels,the so called Osteotomes. Finally a gap occurs between buccal andlingual respectively buccal and palatinal bone-lamella, where wecan insert an implant.

Another indication could be the "chiseling out" of bone-transplants.In any case the user is supported by the ERGOPLANT handle design.Together with Dr. Stricker, we developed a special "Step-Osteotome".Due to this innovative instrument, cracks on the bone-lamella, as often occurs particularly on thin jaw-bones, can be avoided now.

In den oftmals weichen, wabigen Knochenstrukturen des Oberkiefers,ist unter Umständen das Erzielen einer Primärstabilität bei Implanta-tionen problematisch. Durch das Bone Condenser Kit, wird stufen-weise mit verschiedenen Condensern der Knochen so verdichtet (Bone Condensing), dass eine Primärstabilität erreicht wird. Die konisch aufeinander abgestimmten Arbeitsenden sind an der "Spitze"konvex. Der Knochen wird quasi "kortikalisiert", um eine sichere underfolgreiche Implantatinsertion zu gewährleisten.

Under circumstances the achievement of primary stability in implantations could be problematically. For instance if the upper jaw's bone structure is soft and "comb-like". With the Bone Condenser Kit the bone can be condensed (Bone Condensing) step-by-step until we finally achieve enough primary stability. The aligned conical working tips are convex on the tip. The ratherspongy bone is almost "transformed" into compact cortical bone,which now enables a secure and successful implant insertion.

Ist bei Augmentationen im Oberkiefer noch ausreichend vertikalesKnochenangebot vorhanden, so dass auf einen externen Sinus Liftmittels lateralem Fenster verzichtet wird, kann ein interner Sinus Liftmittels Sinutom Kit durchgeführt werden. Hierbei wird mit verschie-den starken Sinutomen der Kieferhöhlenboden durch die Mundhöhlenach kranial eleviert. Das konkave Arbeitsende, dass zirkulär semi-scharf ist, ermöglicht zusätzlich das Mitnehmen von Knochen zur weiteren Elevation. Nach Einbringen von Augmentationsmaterial,kann das Implantat noch in der selben Sitzung inseriert werden.

In case of upper-jaw augmentation, it is possible to pass the external sinus elevation with its lateral window technique, if stillenough vertical bone is available. Then an internal Sinus Elevationby means of the Sinutome Kit can be proceeded. With different sizes of Sinutomes the maxillary sinus floor is elevated through theoral cavity towards cranial. The concave working tip is semi-sharpon the edge, which enables the taking along of additional bone forfurther elevation. After placing the augmentation-material, the implant can be inserted in the same session.

Sowohl die Region derKnochengewinnung (Bone Harvesting), als auch die gewünschte Kon-sistenz zur Augmentation, ist nach Bedarf unterschiedlich.
