세계를 향한 아시아 문화의 창

국립아시아문화전당(Asia Culture Center: ACC)은

아시아의 문화자원이 연구-창작-제작의 단계를 거쳐

새로운 콘텐츠로 생산되고 문화교류가 이루어지는

복합문화예술기관입니다. 5.18 민주화운동의 인권과

평화의 의미를 예술적으로 승화한다는 배경에서 출발하여,

2015년 11월 25일, 10여년의 공사 끝에 개관하였습니다.

ACC는 문화체육관광부의 산하기관으로 총 5개의

원(민주평화교류원, 문화정보원, 문화창조원, 예술극장,

어린이문화원)으로 구성되어 있습니다.

아시아 동시대 공연예술의 창‧제작 플랫폼

ACC 예술극장(ACC Theater)은‘아시아’를 주제로 한

공연예술작품의 제작과 유통 플랫폼을 지향합니다.

예술극장에서는 장르의 한계를 넘어 미래를 선도하는

‘창･제작공연’, 어린이부터 노년층까지 즐길 수 있 는

‘기획공연’, 주목할 만한 화제의 공연들을 초청하여 시민

문화향유에 기여하는‘초청공연’등을 진행합니다. 국내

최대 가변형 블랙박스 공연장인‘극장1’, 프로시니엄

공연장인‘극장2’, 강당형 공연장‘극장3’과 객석이 무대를

품고 있는 반원 형태의‘어린이극장’- 이러한 4개의

극장에서 연극, 무용, 클래식, 영화상영 등 다양한 멀티장르의

공연이 이루어집니다. 작은 동심원 ‘광주’에서 시작해 한국과

아시아, 나아가 세계와 교류하는 국제적 허브로서의 목표를

향해 그 역할을 다하겠습니다.

Window of Asian Culture towards the WorldThe Asia Culture Center (ACC) is an international art and culture exchange organization where the cultural assets of Asia are recreated into new cultural content through the process of research, creation and production. The ACC traces its origin to the May 18 Gwangju Democratic Uprising, and is today entrusted with the mission of upholding the values embodied in the historic event, human rights and peace, through the arts. Officially opened on November 25, 2015 after ten years of Construction, the ACC is a government-funded organization which consists of the International Exchange, Archive & Research, Arts & Creation Technology, Theater and Children’s Center.

The Creation and Production Platform for Asia’s Contemporary Performing Arts The ACC Theater aims to serve as a platform for the production and distribution of performing art projects with Asian themes, and stages original productions that transcend genres and look to the future, project performances that cater to audiences of all ages and interest, and invitation performances to bring much-talked-about productions for our patrons. The ACC Theater has in place four different performance venues to accommodate all types and scales of stage events—play, dance, classical music and film screening. For instance, ACC Theater 1 is the largest black-box theater in the country, while ACC Theater 2 features the proscenium stage. We also have ACC Theater 3, which is an auditorium-type theater, and the Playhouse for Children where the seating section surrounds the stage area in a semi-circular shape. The ACC Theater is committed to play its role as an international hub, a positive force in art and cultural exchange originating from Gwangju and reaching the entire nation of Korea and the entire world.

‘댄싱 투 커넥트’는 미국 뉴욕의 현대무용단인 배터리 댄스

컴퍼니가 2006년 독일에서 처음 시작한 프로그램이다. 미국,

스페인, 브라질, 싱가포르 등 세계 25개국 주요 도시의 청소년과

시민이 함께 참여하는 프로그램으로 현대무용의 새로운 해석을

통해 창의력을 개발하고 협동심을 길러주기 위해 제작되었다.

공연은 1·2부로 나눠 진행되며 1부에서는 시민들이 준비한

공연을 선보이고, 2부에서는 배터리 댄스 컴퍼니 소속 전문

무용수들이 준비한 공연으로 마무리 된다.

Dancing to Connect (DtC) is a creativity- and team-building workshop organized and run by Battery Dance Company, a New York-based modern dance company. Launched in 2006, this engagement program was first initiated in Germany before expanding to major cities in 25 countries including the US, Spain, Brazil and Singapore. In the DtC workshop, teens and adults of varying experience work under the guidance of Battery Dance’s teaching artists to build creativity, leadership and teamwork through the art form of modern dance. This two-part dance production features performances by students in Part I and performances by professional dancers from Battery Dance Company in Part II.

연주하며, 화려하고 정통성 있는 클래식 공연을 선보인다.

The ACC proudly presents the Philharmonic Ensemble Vienna, a chamber orchestra founded by members of the Vienna Philharmonics, one of the world’s most celebrated orchestras with a 175 year-history. The Philharmonic Ensemble Vienna takes on the masterpieces of composer Johann Strauss Jr. and his family of musicians, whose collected work accorded the glorious titles “the City of Waltzes” and “the City of Music” to Vienna, as well as the new year concert repertoire of the Vienna Philharmonics. Its reinterpretations in chamber music style will captivate audiences with the sheer beauty and genius of classical music.

붉은 조명 아래 담배연기 자욱한 당구장에서 오랜 원수지간인

캐풀렛가와 몬터규가의 싸움 장면으로 시작하는 재독 안무가

허용순 버전의 <로미오와 줄리엣>은 클래식 발레의 정형화된

형식에서 벗어나 동시대성과 다양한 감정선을 강조한다.

30년 이상 외국 발레무대에서 활약한 허용순은 작품 전반에

밝고 활기차지만 비극적 상황에서는 무겁고 집요한 움직임을

선보인다. 더욱이 화려하고 심플한 무대와 의상 연출은 죽음을

통하여 완성한 사랑을 한층 아름답고 비극적으로 전한다.

국립아시아문화전당과 광주시립발레단의 두 번째 공동제작으로

자신 있게 선보이는 작품이다.

This creative reinterpretation of Romeo and Juliet by Germany-based choreographer Young Soon Hue opens with the Capulets and Montagues, caught up in the long-standing feud between their families, plunging into a fight under the red light of a smoke-filled billiard room. This new production breaks from the formality of classical ballet to achieve a contemporary flair and complex emotional layers. Hue, whose successful international career spans a period of 30 years, punctuates a vibrant and energetic choreography with forceful and determined moves in emotionally-charged, tragic scenes. The minimal stage and costume design add splendor to the tragic beauty of love, which is perfected by death. The second in line of joint production by the ACC and Gwangju City Ballet.

셰익스피어의 맥베스, 남도의 언어로 다시 태어나다. 광기 어린

야망의 상징 맥베스, 1606년 초연 이후 411년 만에 대지를

휘감는 바람의 언어, 산천을 굽이 도는 강물의 언어, 전라도

방언으로 <맥베스411>이 재탄생되었다. 운명이라는 미명 하에

밀실 속에서 자행된 한 인간의 악행이 어떻게‘지금! 그리고

바로 이곳’을 병들게 만들었는지를 ACC 예술극장의 실험적이고

독특한 무대와 현대 미학과 결합을 통해 여실하게 보여준다.

The language of a southern province breathes new life into Shakespeare’s masterpiece Macbeth. Macbeth, the quintessential symbol of vaulting ambition, achieves new life 411 years after its 1606 premiere with the dialect of the Jeolla province, a language that whispers like wind sweeping over the land and flows like a river reaching every mountain. Macbeth 411 tells a story of a man who secretly commits an act of evil and then justifies it in the name of destiny. The unique and experimental stage of ACC Theater and the modern aesthetics of the production add clarity to the story about how a man’s bloodshed poisons this time and place.

조선시대를 배경으로 한 <리어왕, 누가 왕을 가장 사랑하는가>는

셰익스피어의 4대 비극 중 한국인이 가장 사랑하는 작품 중

하나인 리어왕을 전통의 시각으로 재해석한 공연이다. 전통

음악을 들려주는 새로운 방식으로 문학과 무용, 영상, 연극이

어우러진 음악극이다. ‘리어왕’의 전체 스토리와 캐릭터를

연극적으로 구성하여 전통음악의 예술성을 현대적 감각으로

재해석해 대중들이 공감할 수 있는 프로그램으로 구성했다.

This musical adaptation of King Lear transplants Korea’s favorite among Shakespeare’s Four Great Tragedies to the Joseon Dynasty and marries the traditional theatrical languages of Korea to the Elizabethan masterpiece. The outcome is a successful musical theater piece that skillfully combines various forms of art—literature, dance performance, video and theater performance—and a creative new vehicle for presenting traditional Korean music. King Lear transforms into a compelling narrative for contemporary audiences through its successful reconstruction of the original plot and characters and its modern reinterpretation of the aesthetics of Korean traditional music.

국립아시아문화전당이 제작한 어린이 공연 네 번째 작품으로

전당의 대표 캐릭터인 시아와 친구들이 아시아의 보물을 찾아

떠나는 이야기를 주제로 공연의 모든 언어가 영어로 제작된

어린이 영어뮤지컬이다. 어린이들이 쉽게 이해할 수 있는 노래,

율동과 함께 아시아의 전통문화유산을 랩, 비보잉 등 현대적

감각으로 재해석하여 가족 모두가 함께 즐길 수 있는 공연이다.

The ACC proudly presents its fourth production for children, a fantasy adventure musical featuring our signature characters Sia & Fam searching for the treasures of Asia. This English musical for children features easy-to-follow songs and dance moves and introduces the cultural heritage of Asia through contemporary choreography such as break dancing and rap performances to create a fun experience for family audiences.

‘메가 먼둥 : 먹구름’은 2015년 국립아시아문화전당 제작 공연으로

인도네시아의 주목받는 현대무용가‘피트리 서탸닝시(Fitri

Setyaningsih)’가 안무를 맡고 8명의 무용수가 출연하여 초대형

먹구름을 표현한 무용 작품이다. 안무, 음악, 세트 디자인 그리고

의상이 조화롭게 어우러지는 작품으로 이 시대 젊은 아티스트의

독창적이며 서구 현대무용과 극명한 대조를 이루는 새로운

예술적 표현방식의 공연을 선보인다.

Mega Mendung is a 2015 ACC production choreographed by Fitri Setyaningsih, the celebrated modern dancer from Indonesia, and featuring eight dancers. In this modern dance piece that expresses a thick layer of dark clouds forming a massive whirl in the sky, this emerging young artist skillfully brings together choreography, music, sets and costumes and gives birth to a new language of artistic expressions — a sharp contrast to the language of Western modern dance.

‘한국 문학의 축복’,‘우리 시대의 탁월한 이야기 꾼’으로 불리는

故박완서 선생 사후 1주기를 맞아 추모의 의미를 담아 제작된

공연이다. 작가의 자전적 소설『나의 가장 나종 지니인 것』은

한 어머니가 아들의 죽음을 통해 겪게 되는 가치관의 변화와

그 속에 내재된 인간 내면의 모습을 한편의 드라마로 그려낸

명작이다. 그동안 다양한 작품에서 여성성과 어머니를 표현했던

배우 손숙은‘꼭 해보고 싶은 작품’으로 이 작품을 꼽아왔으며,

작가 박완서가 그려낸 어머니를, 동시대를 살아온‘우리 어머니의

이야기’로 깊은 울림을 전할 것이다.

Produced in honor of the late Wan Seo Park, a writer often revered as “the Jewel of Korean Literature” and “the Storyteller of Our Age,” to commemorate the first anniversary of her death. Based on Park’s autobiographical fiction My Very Last Possession, this theatrical adaptation tells a poignant tale of a mother who undergoes profound changes in her values and beliefs after the death of her son, and peers into the internal conflicts of a human being. Sook Son, a celebrated actress who built an impressive career portraying strong female characters and mothers, had often expressed her desire to play the title role, and she is certain to give a compelling performance, transforming Park’s portrayal of a mother into the “story of mothers in our time.”

조선의 여섯 번째 왕 단종의 비 정순왕후 송씨는 세조의 명으로

영월로 귀양을 간 단종이 다섯 달 만에 사사 당하자 왕비에서

평민으로, 걸인, 날품팔이꾼, 비구니로 여든둘에 홀로 세상을

떠날 때까지 가혹한 운명을 살아간 여인이다. 청계천 영도교에서

헤어진 단종과 정순왕후의 가슴 아픈 사랑을 소재로 한

김별아의 장편소설『영영이별 영이별』을 연극계 거장 박정자의

낭독을 중심으로 해금, 기타의 라이브 연주, 영상, 음향효과와

함께 감성적으로 그려낸다. 세상을 떠난 정순왕후의 혼백이,

죽는 날까지 침묵해야 했던 기구하고 애달픈 사연을 죽어서야

단종에게 굽이굽이 그 세월을 털어놓는 가슴시린 사랑이야기가

펼쳐진다.

Queen Jeongsun was Queen Consort of King Danjong, the 6th monarch of the Joseon Dynasty. She was stripped of her royal status and reduced to commoner status after her husband was forced to abdicate by King Sejo and exiled to Yeongwol. Five months into his exile, King Danjong was killed and Queen Jeongsun was thrown into a life of hardship and haplessness. She went from beggar to farm hand to Buddhist nun until her death at the age of 82. This theatrical adaptation of Byeol Ah Kim’s novel Farewell to Lifetime is the story of Queen Jeongsun’s life after her parting with King Danjong at the Yeongdo Bridge over the Cheonggye stream, and her undying love for him. A powerful narration by the celebrated theater actress Jeong Ja Park sets the tone for the theatrical performance, with a live guitar performance, video images and sound effects serving as emotional punctuations. A heart-wrenching love story unfolds as the spirit of Queen Jeongsun reunites with King Danjong in the afterlife and tells him the story of her life after his death.

빅도어 시네마는 예술극장 빅도어(Big Door) 앞에서 진행되는

야외 대형스크린 영화상영 프로그램이다. 극장1의 실내외

공간을 함께 사용할 수 있도록 개폐 가능한 빅도어 실내공간에

대형 스크린을 설치해 관객들은 야외공간에서 다양한 영상과

공연을 관람할 수 있다. 한여름 밤 온 가족이 함께 돗자리에 앉아

영화를 즐기는 편안한 시간이 될 것 이다. 6월부터 10월까지

다양한 영화 상영 및 공연 결합형 영화 등을 선보인다. (6.9 -10

/ 7.14 -15 / 9.15 -16 / 10.4 ※ 일정은 변동 될 수 있음.)

Big Door Cinema is an outdoor film screening program hosted at the outdoor space of ACC Theatre - Big Door. This program takes advantage of Theater 1’s innovative design, which allows the opening and closing of the “Big Door” that separates the indoor and outdoor space.Audiences are invited to the Bigdoor - outdoor space to enjoy films or performances. An invitation to a fun summer night out with the family, Big Door Cinema runs from June through October, featuring film screenings and other performances that accompany the film.(※ Schedules are subject to change.)

전국 청소년연극제는 청소년들의 희곡문학과 공연예술에 대한

이해를 돕고 이들의 창의성과 문화적 소양을 길러줌으로써

인성교육과 전인교육에 기여하기 위해 올해 21회째를 맞이한

전국 고등학교 연극경연 축제이다. 국립아시아문화전당에서

열리는 본선 무대에서는 16개 시도별 지역 예선을 거쳐 선정된

지역의 최우수 18개 학교가 참여하여 국무총리상, 교육부장관상,

문화체육관광부 장관상 등을 두고 치열한 경연을 펼친다. 폐막

축하 공연으로는 일본 청소년연극제 대상팀의 초청 공연이 열릴

예정이다.

The Korea Youth Theater Festival is an annual theater competition for high school students. Celebrating its 21st anniversary this year, the festival aims to promote creativity and cultural awareness among young students through exposure to theatrical plays and performance art, and offer a balanced and integrated learning experience. Only 18 schools that are selected through the regionall preliminaries hosted across 16 cities are allowed to compete for the coveted prizes (Prime Minister’s Award, Minster of Education Award and Minister of Culture Award) at the final round staged at the ACC. The festival also features the winner of the Japan Youth Theater Festival, who will perform their winning production number to celebrate the successful conclusion of the competition.

제2회를 맞이하는‘아시아를 위한 심포니’는 전 세계 작곡가들을

대상으로 공모 및 위촉을 통해‘아시아’를 주제로 한 곡을 제작

하고 콘서트와 강연, 워크숍이 연계되어 이루어지는 음악 페스티

벌이다. 올해는 ‘아시아 스토리’를 오케스트라 곡으로 표현한 공

연, 범음악제와 연계한 ‘오퍼스1’, 앙상블 연주 그리고 아시아문

화원의 필름 앤 비디오 아카이브 작품과 음악연주가 함께하는

‘실험영화와 현대음악’ 공연 등이 다채롭게 구성되어있다.

Symphony for Asia is a music competition and grant program open to composers of all nationalities to promote the creation of music pieces that have Asia as their theme. Concerts, lectures and workshops are organized as well to make this event a true music festival. This year, Symphony for Asia features a great range of music concerts and performances including a repertoire of symphony music pieces with “Asia Story” as the theme, the ensemble piece Opus 1 staged in cooperation with the Pan Music Festival, selected works from the ACC Film and Video Archive, and “Experimental Films and Music” that brings together film art and musical performance.

연합 그룹인 우스터그룹(Wooster Group)은 미국 뉴욕의

창고극장에서 작품을 발전시켜 제작하면서 새로운 관점과

센세이셔널한 공연으로 문화예술계를 이끌어나가는 제작사이다.

‘B-SIDE’는 텍사스 주 교도소에서 발견된 LP앨범을 소개하면서

그 시대적 배경과 음악을 이야기하는 새로운 형태의 연극이다.

우스터그룹의 국내 첫 내한 공연으로 그 명성에 걸맞는

제작방식과 배우, 무대기법을 경험할 수 있을 것이다.

The Wooster Group is an ensemble of artists who work in theater, dance and media. For over 40 years since its inception in 1975, this artist group has created theatrical pieces out of its Performing Garage located in New York, leading the performing art scene with their unique perspectives and sensational performances. The Wooster Group’s The B-SIDE : Negro Folklore from Texax State Prisons, A Record Album Interpretation is a performance based on the LP Negro Folklore from Texas State Prisons. The LP was recorded in 1964 by folklorist Bruce Jackson. It contains work songs, blues, spirituals, preaching, and toasts performed by a group of black inmates in one of Texas’ agricultural prison farms.

ACC Theater - Big Door has long struck the curiosity of ACC patrons. Now the ACC unveils what happens backstage with a 20-minute dance performance that combines the magic of dance with lighting, sound, video and stage technology. What follows the performance is a “making-of” film that documents the entire process of “Birth of a Dream” production, including commentaries by the cast and production staff. Audiences are then invited to tour the backstage area, stage, sound and lighting for a first-hand look at what really is behind the Bigdoor.

라하우스에서 공연해오고 있다.

The jewel in the Komische Oper Berlin’s 2016-2017 season repertoire, The Magic Flute is best known for “The Queen of the Night’s Aria” and is famous for being the second most frequently performed opera in the world. This Komische Oper production combines stage performance, live music performance and video images to create a visual feast that sets itself apart from other productions. The Magic Flute has earned the Komische Oper two Opernwelt Awards and invitations to major opera houses in Sydney, Los Angeles and Dresden.

The Seoul International Computer Music Festival 2017 hosted by the Korea Electro-Acoustic Music Society invites the EMS, a renowned Northern European electronic music organization, and presents major electronic music numbers from Korea and Northern Europe. Featured Korean organizations include the Seoul National University Electronic Music Institute, the Hanyang University Electronic Music Institute, the Korea National University of Arts Computer Music Center, and the Chugye University for the Arts Electronics Music Institute. ACC는‘희비쌍곡선’과 함께 셰익스피어의 비극 <오셀로(Othello)>를

판소리로 새롭게 제작한다. 창작집단‘희비쌍곡선’은 차세대를

대표하는 국악인‘박인혜’와 전통공연양식의 표현 가능성을

꾸준히 확장해온 연출가‘임영욱’이 함께하는 창작집단으로,

판소리를 기반으로 동시대적인 테마와 정서를 적절하게 담아내는

작업을 하고 있다. 동/서양의 구분에 갇히지 않고‘오늘에 맞게

과거를 불러들인다.’는 콘셉트에 의해, 판소리 <오셀로>는 풍자와

해학의 묘미를 충분히 살리는 것은 물론 동시대 관객으로 하여금

작품을 보는 데서 오는 공감과 감동 또한 한껏 불러일으킬 것이다.

The ACC co-produces a pansori adaptation of Shakespeare’s Othello with HeebieJeebie Juice, an artist ensemble that draws creative inspirations from pansori to explore the themes and emotions of our times, under the leadership of Park Inhye, one of the leading gugak artists of her generation, and Lim Youngwook, a director who dedicated his career to expanding the language of Korea’s traditional performing arts.Faithful to its theme, “Reminisce the past for the present and transcend the boundary between the East and the West,” this pansori adaptation of Othello skillfully evokes the wit and humor of pansori and elicits a range of emotions from contemporary audiences.

존재의 비극을 노래한 <햄릿>. 윌리엄 셰익스피어의 햄릿이

중국 전통의 1인극 형태인 곤극의 형태를 입어 <아이햄릿>으로

재탄생한다. 유네스코가 선정한‘평화의 예술가’이자‘곤극의

왕자’로 불리는 장준이 무대 위에서 혼자 햄릿 왕자, 오필리어,

부왕의 유령, 무덤지기 4명의 인물을 홀로 연기한다. 아시아

전통 예술과 서양 고전 문학의 결합을 통해, 새로운 예술을

선보임과 동시에 햄릿이라는 텍스트의 색다른 의미를 보여준다.

Hamlet, Shakespeare’s Portrayal of an Ambiguous Mind , Tragic existence caught between “to be” or “not to be” William Shakespeare’s Hamlet has been adapted into a kunqu opera, a traditional form of Chinese monodrama. The kuqu adaptation I, Hamlet features Zhang Jun, the “Prince of Kunqu Opera” and a UNESCO Good Will Ambassador, who plays all four of the characters—Prince Hamlet, Ophelia, the ghost of King Hamlet and the grave keeper. A traditional art form from the East and classical literature of the West converge to create a new genre of performance art and lend a new meaning to the classical text Hamlet.

개발사업 1기' 선정작이다. 연극"소"는 우화를 바탕으로 우리

현실에 던지는 분단의 문제, 전쟁에 대한 걱정과 평화에 대한

희구, 자연 생태계의 복원 등의 주제를 퐁자와 해학을 담아

'냉철한 현실인식'의 차원으로 승화시킬 것이다. 극장1에서 처음

시도하는 로드무대에서 ACC 만의 독특한 공연을 만나볼 수 있을

것이다.

Wang So is the winner of the 1st ACC　Theatre Repertory Development Project which is launched to build content that makes full use of the flexible layout and structure of ACC Theaer 1. Deriving the inspiration from a Korean fable, the play “Wang So” directs our attention to the serious and realistic issues such as the divided Korea, the fear of war and longing for peace, and restoration of the natural ecosystem, and helps us squarely face the reality with a sense of humor and wit. ACC Theare 1 proudly presents “Wang So” as on the road type stage production that is certain to offer a unique experience.

푸른 수염은 일곱 개의 문 앞에 서 있다. 일곱 개의 문은 일곱

개의 방으로 통한다. 그 문을 열어 새로운 세계를 보자고 말하는

사람이 있다. 그와 반대로, 닫힌 채로 지금의 세계를 지키자고

말하는 사람이 있다. 황금, 피, 죽음, 생명, 눈물, 시간. 그리고

마지막 문 너머의 세계. 각각의 방은 선과 악, 빛과 어둠이라는

기준으로는 설명할 수 없다. 이들은 별개의 세계이지만 연결된

곳일 수도 있고, 순차적인 단계라고 말할 수도 있다. 공연에서는

음악이 스토리와 이미지를 주도한다. 한국 전통악기와 서양

악기, 사람의 목소리를 자유롭게 활용하는 음악이 몸짓과 조명,

영상, 무대장치를 소환한다. 공연 공간은 무대-관객의 일방적인

관계를 해체하고, 등장인물의 딜레마를 관객의 것으로 만든다.

그리하여 한 세계의 종말과 또 다른 세계의 시작을 전감각으로

표현하게 된다.

Bluebeard in front of the seven doors. Each door is connected to its own room. One insists that doors should be open to enlighten the new dimension. The Other objects that closed doors should be kept remained. Gold, Blood, Death, Life, Teardrops, Time and the world beyond. These spaces cannot be defined by the right-or-wrong criterion. Rooms behind doors are separated, but, at the same time, connected. Or we can describe they are put in the serial order. Music takes lead whole performance as well as the storyline and the images. Korea traditional musical instruments, western instruments, and human voices flew fluently and freely. This experimental music summons the non-verbal language, the lighting, the multimedia clips, and the stage machinery. The reconstructed theater replaces dilemma on stage with audience’s. And we can witness the end of one world and a new beginning of another world.

Conceived as a pleasant break from a hectic work week and a light-hearted foray into the arts, the ACC Brunch Concert is held at 11am as part of the “Day with Culture” event hosted every last Wednesday of the month. <ACC 시민 오케스트라 프로젝트>는 현실의 무게에 눌려 음악에 대한

꿈을 잃어버린 이들에게 ACC 무대에 설 수 있는 기회를 제공함으로써

일상 속에서 문화예술을 활성화하기 위하여 기획되었다. 2016년에는

9월부터 지역의 생활예술 연구세미나, 개인 오디션, 단체 경연 대회, UN

오케스트라 초청공연 및 협연 등을 진행했다. 올해에는 오디션을 통해

선발된 단원들이 연습을 거쳐 ACC 무대에 오를 예정이다.

The ACC Community Orchestra Project was launched to offer an opportunity for performing on the ACC stage to amateur musicians who have once given up on music, and bring the arts and culture closer to our everyday life. The 2016 ACC Community Orchestra was commenced in September 2016 with local community art workshops, individual auditions and group competitions, concluding its run after the United Nations Orchestra’s invitation concert and joint concert. In 2017, amateur musicians who clear the audition will go through practice and perform on the stage of the ACC Theater as members of the ACC Community Orchestra.

디렉터로 구성된 멘토단과의 협력 및 네트워크를 통해 실험적이고

도전적인 작업의 개발 기회를 제공한다.

The Big Door, which forms one of the four walls of the theater, opens to connect the indoor and outdoor space, and accommodates different stage types and seating layouts to suit the creator’s wishes.

ACC 공연이 아시아 공연예술의 창제작, 유통 플랫폼으로서 국제적 허브가

될 공간이 바로 극장1입니다. 극장1은 한 면에 빅 도어(Big Door)를 열어

실내외 공간을 확장하여 사용할 수 있는 국내 최대 가변형 블랙박스(Black

Box) 형태의 공연장입니다. 제작진의 창의적인 아이디어에 따라 프로시니엄

극장부터 L자 로드, T자 콘서트, 원형 아레나 형태의 극장까지 무대와 객석을

자유자재로 변형하여 사용할 수 있습니다. 더불어 하나의 공간을 2분할,

3분할로 나누어 개별 작품으로 독립 운영할 수도 있습니다. 실내 객석 수는

최대 1,120석까지 가변적으로 설치 가능하며, 빅 도어를 열어 무대와 객석을

야외로 확장할 수 있습니다.

While ACC Theater productions serve as a platform for creation, production and distribution of Asia’s performing art productions, ACC Theater 1 takes on the role of an international hub for art and cultural exchange. The largest black-box theater in the country, ACC Theater 1 has in place a flexible layout and structure to accommodate creative ideas from the production staff, transforming from a proscenium theater to an L-shaped thrust stage, and from a T-shaped concert stage to an arena theater. One of the theater’s four walls (Big Door) opens and closes to extend the theater to the outdoor space. It is also possible to divide the theater space into two or three independent spaces and stage different performances simultaneously. The indoor seating section accommodates up to 1,120 people, and the stage area and the seating section can be extended to the outdoor space when the Big Door is open.

This semi-circular arena theater is used exclusively for children’s productions and accommodates up to 100 audience members on its step seats, allowing parents to seat together with their children. There is no separation between the stage area and the seating section.
