safety standards
• machinery directive 2006/42/EC (CE conformity)
• complete process monitoring and continuous can transfer control via inductive and optical sensors
• secure state-of-the-art servo technology
• safety enclosure with magnetic locking and noise dampe-ning
PRoduCt vaRiants
• drawn (DWI/DRD) two-piece steel cans
• aerosol cans for food, cosmetic and chemical applica-tions

overview the fully automatic machine system eta ii in continuous rotary turret design serves the processing of two-piece steel aerosol cans.
Drawn can bodies with integrated dome are pierced ver-tically standing with the dome side downwards. thus, an aperture for the valve is created.
The individual process steps are:
• feeding of the can bodies
• turning the cans upside down
• separating the cans via an infeed screw and star wheel
• piercing of the can dome within a rigid punching tool
• controlled discharging of scrap discs
• turning the can right side up and handing over to exit conveyor belt

GaMMa ii ModuLaR Can MaKeR
• fully automatic production process
HoListiC ContRoL ConCePt
• PLC, servo technology and safety functions are imple-mented via a single control system
• selective feeding of individual working stations in case of maintanance or for the generation of test series during production run
tooLs
• simple height adjustment using spacers
• quick change system due to C-frame tooling stations
• safe removal via transport device
• easy regrinding of active parts
Line inteGRation
• projecting of complete new lines
• possible integration into existing two-piece can lines
• direct linking using conveyor belts with BLEMA‘s Modular Can Maker Gamma ii
processCan inFeed
• servo-driven stop star
• servo infeed screw
PieRCinG
• continuously rotating turret
→ eccentric force introduction during punching operation
• pre-set rigid C-frame tooling stations
• precision linear guides for absorbing transverse forces for exact parallel movement
• ball bushings between punch and cutting ring
• cam-controlled lifting movement of the punch with a large lifting height
• punch travels through the can
• precise, burr-free punching of the valve aperture in the cutting ring
sCRaP eJeCtion
• the cut-out disc is pressed through the cutting ring and blown out by an air pulse
