The certified FARE umbrellas are denoted in the catalogue with the inspection mark and fulfil the requirements of the TÜV Rheinland 2 PfG 1048/11.06 standard. The production is regularly audited by TÜV Rheinland LGA Products GmbH to ensure consistent quality.

Tested! FARE works with an independent laboratory to ensure compli-ance with all legal regulations for harmful substances. The LABTECH Prüfungsgesellschaft mbH laboratory in Quakenbrück independently tests for compliance with the EU REACH (registration, evaluation, authorisation, and restriction of chemicals) regulation.

Fair! As a member of the BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative), FARE is obligated to uphold the BSCI code of conduct. Its objective is to maintain specific social and environmental standards. The code of conduct is based on the conventions of the International Labour Orga-nization (ILO), the UNO Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the UNO Convention of Rights of Children and the abolishment of any form for discrimination of women, the UN Global Compact and the OECD guidelines for multinational companies. red dot design award – The red dot is an internationally renowned and highly coveted seal of quality. Since 1955, the red dot award has developed into one of the most important competitions for product de-sign. In 2012 alone, 1.800 designers and companies from 58 countries submitted 4.515 products. The highly qualified international jury has awarded this honour three times already to a FARE product.

Best of Bestsellers – This award is given annually at the WerbeWiesn in Munich. At the trade fair for advertising and exhibition design com-panies present their latest promotional products especially suited to exhibition and marketing communications. PromoFritz-Award – The PromoFritz is awarded by PROMOSWISS, the Association of Swiss Promotional Products Suppliers, for outstanding promotional items and concepts in the commercial, cultural or public service sector in Switzerland. The shades of many FARE® umbrellas are treated on the outside with high-quality finishes as well as being given a water-repellent coating from the inside.

Textile coatings – for long-lasting umbrellas ablaze with colour

FARE®-PEL – a protective coating only available

from FARE which makes the shade surface particu-

larly durable. FARE®-PEL repels water and stains,

causing rain and dirt to just pearl off.

Teflon® protective coating – Teflon®-coated um-

brellas are treated with Teflon® protective coating

from DuPont™. This coating ensures that water

and dirt can easily be removed from the umbrella

shade. Teflon® has water and dirt-repellent proper-

ties but doesn’t impair the breathability of the fabric.

Nanotechnology – nano-coatings on umbrellas

create a "lotus" effect. The lotus effect describes

the low surface wettability seen in the lotus plant.

The minute rough structure on the leaves creates

a fascinating effect. Unlike smooth surfaces, dirt

and water pearl off without leaving a residue. The

nano-coatings developed for our nano-umbrellas

also bind seamlessly with the shade fabric. This

long-lasting effect repels water and dirt and pre-

vents them from sticking to the rough surface.

Film costs for umbrellas and parasolsUp to DIN A4 (210 x 297 mm): € 22.00 per colour / logo, up to DIN A3 (297 x 420 mm): upon request.

These charges include one film-proof including one computer printing layout and one amendment. For each further amendment of the logo there will be an extra charge of € 17.00 for the first colour / film and € 9.00 for each further colour / film.

Print proofFor umbrellas and parasols: screen print € 22.00 per logo / colour (plus screen costs + article price + forwarding costs), delivery time for print proofs: approx. 1 week.

ArtworkThe initial costs of screen-printed advertising can be kept as low as possible by sending 1:1 films ready for screen-printing (= top-coated positive films). If films are not available, we will need vectorized graphic files in .eps format. Please create files in spot colors and convert fonts into curves. Other data formats (for example .jpg files) saved as EPS files cannot be used! Film charges and the creation of reproducible templates will be invoiced according to the time and effort required.

White underlayIn the majority of cases, colored prints require a white underlay to ensure an optimal result. This white underlay counts as an additional printing color and will incur extra charges accordingly. White prints on a colored background must be printed twice. Double printing is subject to extra charges for an additional print color (these are incurred once only). No white underlay is required for prints on white umbrella covers or for print colors silver, gold and black.

Colormagic® imprintColormagic® overprint tones down screen-printed colors. Color matching with Pantone or HKS colors cannot be ensured and does not constitute any ground for complaint. We recommend the production of a proof sample.

Doming (photo sticker)To be fixed in handles with suitable handle groove or on metal plate of bags. Prices are valid for one up to multicolour prints. Caution: for technical reasons, the print area will be a little smaller than the total size indicated.
