GASTURBINEN UND GASTURBINENBETRIEB 2017Im Zweijahresrhythmus werden Betreiber, Hersteller, Versicherer, Behörden und Experten des R&D-Bereiches vom VGB PowerTech e.V. dazu eingeladen, durch Vorträge und umfassende Diskussion aktuel-ler Fragen zur Gasturbine und dem Gasturbinenbetrieb den Erfah-rungs-, Erkenntnis- und Gedankenaustausch zu intensivieren.

Mit Präsenz unserer zahlreichen Aussteller aus der Gasturbinen indus-trie wird ein Veranstaltungsrahmen geboten, der als internationales Forum für Herstellung und Erweiterung geschäftlicher wie persönli-cher Kontakte beste Voraussetzungen schafft.

Beachtliche Fortschritte in der Forschung und Entwicklung von Kraft-werks- und Industriegasturbinen haben dazu geführt, dass die Gas-turbine als Kernkomponente von effizienten und emissionsarmen Kombianlagen sowie als Antrieb von Spitzenlastanlagen und Ver-dichterstationen eine hohe Attraktivität erlangt hat. Wirkungsgrad der Gasturbine und Lebensdauer der hochbeanspruchten Komponenten wurden und werden insbesondere durch Verbesserung der Werkstof-fe, der Kühltechnik und Wärmedämmung sowie des Korrosionsschut-zes der Heißgasteile, der aerodynamischen Auslegung der Beschau-felung von Verdichter und Turbine und der Prozessgestaltung in beachtlichen Entwicklungsschritten verbessert.

Ein wachsender Anteil der Stromerzeugung aus regenerativen Quel-len mit großer Schwankungsbreite erfordert Gasturbinen mit hohem Wirkungsgrad bei Teillast und geringer Mindestleistung, die bei Erfül-lung von Zuverlässigkeits- und Verfügbarkeitsanforderungen sowie verminderten Emissionen für hohe Lastwechselzyklen und hohe Last-wechselgradienten geeignet sind. Globale Entwicklungen im Primär-energiemarkt und dem Europäischen Erdgasmarkt mit zunehmenden Schwankungen der Erdgaszusammensetzung durch LNG-Varianten und zu erwartende Befrachtung der Erdgasströme im Verteilungsnetz mit regenerativ erzeugtem Wasserstoff erfordern modifizierte oder neue Brennkammerkonzepte.

Die Volatilität regenerativer Erzeugungsanteile und eine abnehmende Residuallast stellen höhere Anforderungen an die Bereitstellung von Primär- und Sekundärregelleistung sowie Minutenreserve und Schwarz startfähigkeit. Im Kontext mit dem erweiterten Anforderungs-portfolio für die stationäre Gasturbine stehen Fragen zur Konsolidie-rung der Lebenszykluskosten, der Betriebsweise, Instandhaltung und funktionalen Sicherheit im Fokus kraftwerkstechnischer Diskussionen.

VGB CONFERENCEGAS TURBINES AND OPERATION OF GAS TURBINES 2017Every two years, VGB PowerTech e.V. invites plant operators, manu-facturers, insurers, authorities and experts in the R&D field to intensify the exchange of experience, knowledge and ideas through pres-entations and extensive discussion of current issues relating to gas turbines and the operation of gas turbines.

With many of our numerous exhibitors from the gas turbine industry present, an event framework is provided that as an international fo-rum creates the best environment for the development and extension of both business and personal contacts.

Considerable advances in research and development in the field of power plant and industrial gas turbines have led to gas turbine tech-nology achieving a high degree of attractiveness both as core com-ponents of efficient, low-emission multi-function facilities and as drive systems for peak load systems and compressor stations. The efficiency of gas turbines and the lifetime of the highly loaded com-ponents have been and are being improved in considerable devel-opment stages, in particular by improving the materials, cooling technology, thermal insulation, hot gas component corrosion protec-tion, aerodynamic design of the compressor and the turbine, and process design.

The increasing share of power generation from renewable energy sources with high fluctuations requires gas turbines with a high part load efficiency and lower minimum performance comply with suitable reliability- and availability- requirements as well as reduced emissions for high load cycles and high load gradients. Global developments in the primary energy market and the European gas market with increasing fluctuations in the natural gas composition through LNG-variations and the expected supplementation of the gas in the distribution network with regenerative produced hydrogen fuel requires modified or new combustion concepts.

The volatility of renewable generated energy and a decreasing residual load result in increasing demands on provision of primary and secondary control as well as minute reserve and black start capacity. In the context with the enlarged requirement portfolio for the stationary gas turbine questions regarding the consolidation of the “Life-cycle-costs”, the operational mode, maintenance and func-tional safety are prioritized during power plant discussions.
