Als Vorlage für die Neuveröffentlichungdes Doppelkonzertes a-Moll für Block-

flöte, Gambe, Streichinstrumente und Gene-ralbass diente eine handschriftliche Partitur,die in der Hessischen Landes- und Hoch-schulbibliothek Darmstadt unter der Signatur1033/59 aufbewahrt wird. Es ist das einzigeConcerto del Sigr Teleman-, das diese Beset-zung aufweist. Bisher war es nur in Form ei-nes Klavierauszuges veröffentlicht, der alsHilfe beim Studieren der Solopartien gedachtwar. Für eine Wiedergabe in der Originalbe-setzung, Flauto, Viola da Gamba, Violinogrosso (Tutti-Violinen), Viola und Fonda-mento (Generalbass) dürfte aber eine Ge-samtpartitur hilfreicher sein. Die Anordnungder Stimmen folgt der überlieferten Vorlage,wie auch die unterschiedliche Aufteilung derAchtelnoten-Balken.

Die Aussetzung des bezifferten Basses ist nurein Vorschlag für den Fall, dass man nichtselbst einen Continuopart improvisierenmöchte. Die im ersten Satz häufig auftreten-de rhythmische Auftakt-Figur ist denFortsetzungen anzupassen.

The source for this publication of the Double Concerto in A minor for recorder,

viola da gamba, strings and thorough-bass, isa handwritten score which is preserved in theHessische Landes- und Hochschulbibliothekin Darmstadt under the shelf-mark 1033/59.It is the only concerto del Sigr Teleman-

written for this combination of instruments.Up to now, it was only published in the formof a piano reduction, which was intended as ahelp for learning the solo parts. For a perfor-mance with the original instrumentation –flauto, viola da gamba, violino grosso (tutti-violins), viola and fondamento (thorough-bass) – a full score was deemed to be of morehelp. The order of the parts follows theoriginal, as does the varying distribution ofthe quaver cross-bars.

The realization of the figured bass is only asuggestion in case one does not wish toimprovise one’s own continuo part. Therhythmical figure which appears oftenas an upbeat in the first movement should beadapted to in order to conform withthe subsequent rhythms. Translation: R. Groocock

C’est une partition manuscrite conservée àla Landes- und Hochschulbibliothek de

Darmstadt et portant la référence 1033/59 quia servi de support à la nouvelle publication dudouble concerto en la mineur pour flûte à bec, viole de gambe, instruments à cordes etbasse continue. Il s’agit du seul concerto delSigr Teleman- qui fasse appel à cette distribu-tion instrumentale. Jusqu’à présent il n’avaitété publié que sous la forme d’un extrait pourpiano, et était destiné à faciliter l’étude desparties de soliste. Cependant, une partitioncomplète sera probablement d’une aide plusprécieuse pour l’interprétation de ce concertoselon la distribution instrumentale d’originequi comprend la flûte, la viole de gambe, leviolino grosso (violons tutti), la viole et labasse continue. L’ordre des voix suit l’original,tout comme la répartition différente desbarres de croches.

La réalisation de la basse chiffrée n’est qu’uneproposition pour le cas où l’on ne désire pasimproviser soi-même une partie de bassecontinue. L’anacrouse rythmique quel’on retrouve souvent dans le premiermouvement doit être adaptée aux figuresrythmiques suivantes .
