Die Anwesenheit überprüfen!

Mareb
I changed this phrase in the List, since "die Anwesenheit überprüfen" only means "to take the register" in general. If you want to say "We will take the register" you have to use the "Wir werden die Anwesenheit überprüfen" Form

Embedding the languageUsing the greetings as part of everyday routine in class e.g. Guten Tag at the start of everyday, Bis Morgen at the end of the day and Schönes Wochenende on a Friday at the end of the school day!

Do the register in German each morning – teacher says, “die Anwesenheit überprüfen” and pupils respond with “Guten Tag”.

Use a Guten Tag song and/or an Tschüss song at the start and end of each day.

Guten Tag und Tschüss!1. Pupils walk around the class whilst some German

music plays. As they walk around, they should greet each other saying Guten Tag!

2. Teacher then plays more lively music and everyone skips and mimes wearing a backpack and waving to each other and saying “Bis Morgen!” to each other.

3. Music gets even livelier and pupils now dance about saying “Schönes Wochenende!”

4. Lastly the music is sad and they pretend to cry and look sad, waving each other goodbye saying “Tschüss!”
