CHARGING THE BATTERY1. Remove the camera rom its housing.

INSERTING + REMOVING MICROSD CARDS The HERO4 Silver camera is compatible with 4GB, 8GB, 16GB, 32GBand 64GB capacity microSD, microSDHC and microSDXC memorycards (sold separately). You must use a microSD card with a Class10 or a UHS-1 rating. (For a list o the recommended SD cards,visit gopro.com/support .) GoPro recommends using brand namememory cards or maximum reliability in high-vibration activities.

You can play back your content on the cameras touch display, yourcomputer, TV or smartphone/tablet (using the GoPro App).

You can also play back content by inserting the microSD card directlyinto a device, such as a computer or compatible TV. With this method,playback resolution depends on the resolution o the device and itsability to play back that resolution.

QUIKCAPTURE

The OSD (on-screen display) setting determines whether therecording icons and le in ormation on video and on the viewingscreen appear during playback. AUTO OFF

Your camera can be congured to automatically power off afer aspecic period (1 minute - 5 minutes) in which no videos or photosare captured and no buttons are pressed. You can also congure thecamera to never automatically power off (de ault).

DATE/TIME

Your cameras date and time are automatically set when you connectyour camera to the GoPro App or GoPro sofware. This setting letsyou manually set the date and time. I the battery is removed rom thecamera or an extended period o time, you must reset the date andtime (automatically or manually).

MAXIMIZING BATTERY LIFE The battery icon on the camera screen blinks when the battery dropsbelow 10%. I the battery reaches 0% while recording, the camerasaves the le and powers off.

LOCKING PLUGI you are using the HERO4 Black in high-impact sports such assurng or skiing where signicant impact might occur, use the lockingplug to securely lock the Quick Release Buckle ngers into place. Thelocking plug helps to prevent the housing rom accidentally releasing

To Attach the Locking Plug:1. Loop the circular ring over the thumbscrew. The circular ringacts as a leash to prevent dropping or losing the locking plug.
