Die Serie ist aus dem bioabbaubaren und zu 97% biobasierten Biokunststoff Biofibre® Silva produziert. Es kommen nachwachsende Rohstoffe zum Einsatz (keine fossilen Rohstoffe). Dadurch ist das Produkt von der CO2 Bilanz deutlich besser als ein klassischer Kunststoff aus fossilen Rohstoffen. Zertifiziert durch DIN CERTO.

These products are 97% made out of the bio-based plastic Biofibre® Silva. Only renewable raw materials are used (no fossil raw materials). As a result, these products have a much lower carbon footprint then products made out of conventional plastics. This material is DIN CERTO certified.

Die Weltmeere sind zu einer Müllkippe verkommen, mit großen Flächen, die voll von Plastiktüten, Flaschen und Verpackungen sind. Laut dem Umweltbundesamt schwimmen bis zu 140 Millionen Tonnen Abfall im Meer. Die Folgen für die Umwelt sind verheerend.

Rund sechs bis zehn Prozent der weltweiten Kunststoffproduktion landen laut Studie in den Weltmeeren. Es ist davon auszugehen, dass bis zu 30 Millionen Tonnen davon pro Jahr weltweit im Meer landen – davon in Europa allein 3,4 bis 5,7 Millionen Tonnen pro Jahr (Quelle: Umwelt Bundesamt).

Plastikabfall gelangt über Flüsse oder direktem Wege in unsere Weltmeere und wird durch Umwelteinflüsse wie Wind, UV-Strahlung oder Gezeiten zu sogenanntem sekundärem Mikroplastik zerkleinert.

Substitution von Plastik durch Biofibre

Die Substitution von Plastik durch biologisch abbaubare Materialien wie z.B. Biofibre® kann langfristig dazu beitragen, den Berg an Plastikmüll zu Lande, wie auch auf dem Wasser zu reduzieren und unsere Umwelt wieder lebenswerter zu machen.

The world's oceans have degenerated into a garbage dump, with large areas full of plastic waste. According to the German Federal Environment Agency ( FEA), up to 140 million tons of waste float in the world's oceans.

The consequences for the environment are devastating. According to a study, around six to ten percent of global plastics production ends up in the oceans. It can be assumed that up to 30 million tons of these end up in the world's oceans.

Plastic waste enters our oceans via rivers or direct routes and is broken down by environmental influences such as wind, UV radiation or tides into so-called secondary micro plastics.

The substitution of plastics by biodegradable materials such as Biofibre® granule can contribute in the long term to reducing the mountain of plastic waste on land and in water and to making our environment more livable again.

2 Step long cone sharpener. The Blade removes only the wood from the lead until the lead touches the Automatic Stop. It is not possible to sharpen further. Blade 2 sharpens the lead to an extra long point. The Automatic Stop prevents further sharpening.
