A MAN has died ater hiscar let the road and enteredthe Newry Canal at VictoriaLocks.

Police, fre and ambulanceservices attended the incident which was reported shortlybeore 2pm yesterday.

The victim is believed tohave been around 60 yearsold.

The Fathom Line was closedat its junction with DrumalaneRoad while specialist accident

investigators examined thescene.Anyone who witnessed the

incident is being asked tocontact the PSNI in Newry.
