The Zero Carbon Footprint Digipak and CD is the most exciting manu-

facturing development here at Oasis in some time a nd I am extremely gratified by the

response so far. Why all t he excitement? Because the Zero Carbon Footprint option

doesn't just reduce your CD's carbon footprint it eliminates it.

How can we entirely eliminate t he carbon footprint, including that

of the CD? Because this package uses Green Forestry board instead of plastic,

we immediately eliminate 88% of the wasteful carbon emissions compared to

manufacturing CDs in jewel cases.

And since the Zero Carbon Footprint Digipak uses clear, flexible Oasis

BottleTrays (made from 100% post-consumer water bottles, thus c apturing plastic

that was destined for landfills or incinerators), it even saves 65% of the emissions

compared to a c onventionally-trayed Digipak!

Then, through a process called carbon offsetting, we compensate for and on a net

basis, eliminate the remaining carbon footprint of the packaging, as well as:

much as possible,we offset the balance by supporting validated greenhouse gas

reduction projects we have investigated personally.

In the case of the Freund Family Dairy, this farm

captures the greenhouse gas methane, which is 23

times more climate harmful than CO2, and converts

it into energy used on the farm, in a process certified

Case in Point: From Oasis to Disney The Imagination Movers

Once their Oasis-produced DVD found its way to Disney, paving the way for their award-winning TV

show, the Imagination Movers appeared to the world to be an instant success. To its young fans around

the planet, this unique show seemed to suddenly emerge fully-formed on their television screens. But here

at Oasis, we know that the show was act ually a long time coming. A very long time.

In fact, six years earlier, when the idea for the show "Imagination Movers" was first hatched, all four of

The Imagination Movers were holding down day jobs as a schoolteacher, writer, firefighter and journalist.

So they could only steal bits of time to work on the show's concept late in the evening, after all their kids

had been put to bed.

Eventually Rich, Scott, Dave, and Smitty pitched a pilot to their local PBS station. But the funding

wasnt there. So the band worked the Louisiana music scene, doing everyt hing from birthday parties to t he

New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. They made three popular CDs with Oa sis along the way, and then

a DVD with us. Their reputation, sort of like a mashup of Mister Rogers and The Beastie Boys, began to

spread beyond Louisiana.

Even though the Movers have hit the international scene, it is important to them to keep the show in

New Orleans; three of them lost homes to Hurricane Katrina, and they remain devoted to the city. So while

it's sometimes harder to produce the show in Louisiana, to them it feels very rewarding.

Indeed, as one Mover confessed in theNew York Timesrecently, they feel like the luckiest 12-year-olds

in the whole world.
