„Absolut hochwer-tig liegt der Wooferin der Hand, oderbesser in den Händen,denn er ist ein richtigerBrocken. Sein Aluminium-druckgusskorb sorgt für Aner-kennung. Hervorragend stabil undresonanzarm erfreut er auch durch or-dentliche Verarbeitung. Die noble Alu-miniummembran ist aus einem Stück gezogen,sie wird von einer hoch belastbaren 63-mm-Schwingspule auf einem Kapton-Träger ausge-lenkt. Zwei wuchtige Magnetringe stellen dazudie Feldstärke bereit, für einen Druckausgleichsorgt eine Bohrung, deren Austritt strömungs-günstig abgerundet ist.
Der PLM 1299 braucht einen relativ großen ventilier-ten Arbeitsplatz, im 60-Liter-Gehäuse läuft er zurabsoluten Hochform auf. Mit brachialem Druck undüberzeugendem Durchzug erkämpft er sich einenSpitzenplatz. Relativ sauber und immer dynamischscheint er regelrecht nach Musik zu gieren.Sein Spiel kann vom Kickbass bis in den Frequenz-keller vollauf begeistern, mit seinem hohen Wirkungs-grad stellt er auch bei wenig Leistung mächtig Pegelzur Verfügung. Das kommt der Verwendung in güns-tigen Car-HiFi Anlagen sehr entgegen, wobei eigent-lich nur der Preis einsteigermäßig ist - Druckwellengibt es dagegen für Fortgeschrittene.“
