In der Mitte des Raumes steht, mit weichen Formen und in apartem Leder, das DS-490 – ein perfektes Möbel für alle Captains: Hinter der formschönen Optik aus geschwun-gener Rückenlehne und gerader Führung des Gegenparts verbirgt sich ein Cockpit, an dem mit wenigen Handgriffen aus dem Styling-Objekt eine ausladende Liege wird. Endlich entspannen!
Über ein Jahr lang haben wir an Mechanik, Optik und Haptik dieser Skulptur gefeilt. Jetzt sind auch wir ganz entspannt: Weil das DS-490 mit seiner Patchwork-Lederoptik und sorgfältig in Handarbeit angebrach-ten Abnähern die atemberaubende Eleganz betont und gleichzeitig die Elastizität des Leders und der einzel-nen Elemente unterstützt.

In the middle of the room, with soft forms and in distinctive leather, DS-490 is a perfect piece of furni-ture for all the captains: behind the elegant look of a curved backrest and straight guide for the coun-terpart hides a cockpit as a styling object that becomes a generous recliner with just a few flicks of the wrist. Finally, time to relax!
We refined the mechanism, look and feel of this sculpture for more than a year. And now, we’re very relaxed, too: because DS-490, with its patchwork leather look and carefully handcrafted tucks, emphasizes breathtaking elegance while at the same time supporting the elasticity of the leather and the flexibility of the individual elements.

Mit zwei Handgriffen lässt sich
das DS-490 in eine Doppel-
Relax-Liege umformen. Die
Sitzeinheiten mit aufwendig
abgehefteter Polsterung bieten
anschmiegsamen Komfort und
stehen im Kontrast zur präzise
konturierten Sitzform sowie der
darunter versteckten Mechanik.
Die beiden Sitzelemente liegen
auf dünnen Plattformen, die
sich unabhängig voneinander
um jeweils 90° drehen lassen;
aus dem Sofa mit moderner
Sitztiefe wird so eine Liege zum
entspannten Relaxen. Unabhän-
gig von den Sitzelementen sind
auch die beiden Rückenlehnen
einzeln justierbar. Dadurch sind
Sitztiefe wie auch Rückenhöhe
leicht zu individualisieren.

a double recliner. The seat units
with elaborately stitched uphol-
stery offer supple comfort and
create a contrast to the precise-
ly contoured seat shape and the
mechanism hidden underneath.
The two seating elements lie on
thin platforms that can be rotat-
ed independently of each other
by 90°; the sofa with modern
seat depth thus becomes a re-
cliner for relaxing. Independently
of the seating elements, the two
backrests are also individually
adjustable. This makes the seat
depth and the back height easy
to individualize.
