7783 cm 212x74(50)/223 in 83.5x29.1(19.7)/87.8Schrank stil deutscher barock, genannt „Braunschweiger Barock-Schrank“. 2 türen, 2 laden. das original, das selva als vorlage diente, ist im raum Mainfranken um 1725 entstanden und befindet sich im privatbesitz (vgl. wolfgang schwarze, antike deutsche Möbel, wuppertal 1975). der Mittelteil des giebels ist mit „s“ monogrammiert. auf wunsch kann ihr Monogramm eingesetzt werden. hinter den basen der pilaster befinden sich drei geheimfächer. besonders markant sind die handgeschnitzten korinthischen kapitelle der vertikalen säulen. inneneinteilung: Mitteltrennwand, links und rechts je 1 holzkleiderstange und je 3 abnehmbare holzeinlegeböden. korpus kirschbaum massiv, nussbaum furniert. front aus echtem italienischen nussbaum und nusswurzel furniert sowie reiche fileteinlagen in ahorn. der original nachgebildete Mechanismus der türöffnung wird mittels rechts- und linksdrehung des schlüssels im mittleren pilaster betätigt. die türen öffnen sich unabhängig voneinander mittels springfedermechanismus. wird zerlegt angeliefert.Armadio stile barocco tedesco, detto Armadio di Braunschweig. 2 porte, 2 cassetti. l‘originale, preso come modello da selva, è stato costruito nell‘area di Mainfranken intorno al 1725 e oggi fa parte di una collezione privata (ved. wolfgang schwarze, antike deutsche Möbel, wuppertal 1975). la parte centrale del frontone è monogrammata con una „s“ a intarsio; su richiesta questo monogramma può essere sostituito con quello dell‘acquirente. dietro le basi dei pilastri si trovano tre segreti. la facciata è articolata in senso verticale da tre colonne con capitelli corinzi finemente scolpiti a mano. interno: parete divisoria centrale; a destra e a sinistra 1 paletto appendiabiti e 3 ripiani mobili in legno. Jahrhunderts gefertigt. inneneinteilung: 2 trennwände, Mittelteil 4 abnehmbare holzeinlegeböden und 1 holzkleiderstange. 7900 cm 204x82(54)/215 in 80.3x32.3(21.3)/84.6Schrank genannt „Frankfurter Wellenschrank“ oder „züricher orgelkasten“. das original dieses schrankes, welches selva als vorlage diente, steht im hause „frankfurter bankgesellschaft 1899“ in frankfurt. der hohe, massive sockel auf gedrückten kugelfüßen und das profilierte gesims sind charakteristisch, ebenso wie die an den Ecken vorstehenden nasen, welche ihn auch unter der bezeichnung nasenschrank bekannt machten. der korpus ist massiv und ganzheitlich in nussbaum querfurniert. die beschläge sind handgeschmiedet. ausführung: 2 türen, inneneinteilung: Mitteltrennwand, links und rechts 3 abnehmbare holzeinlegeböden auf holzleisten, 1 holzkleiderstange. der schrank wird zerlegt angeliefert.

die antikisierten oberflächen werden in aufwändigen

handwerklichen techniken hergestellt. gekonnt werden

die kleinen wurmlöcher und gebrauchsspuren individuell

auf jedem Möbelstück angebracht. sie vermitteln den

Eindruck, dass diese Möbel bereits eine lange geschichte

hinter sich haben. in mehreren arbeitsgängen wird

die oberfläche ausgeschliffen und gewischt, bevor die

jeweilige lackoberfläche von hand aufgetragen wird.

wegen der aufwändigen handwerklichen herstellung

der Möbel muss mit längeren lieferzeiten, als bei

anderen selva Möbelprogrammen gerechnet werden

Holz und Verarbeitung

die Möbel von European Collection sind alle aus edlen

hölzern. kranzprofile, rahmen, sockel und profilleisten

werden aus Massivholz gefertigt. wir verwenden dafür u.a.

kirschbaum, red alder (amerikanisch roterle), nussbaum,

buche, fichte, usw. für die furnierten flächen wie fronten,

seitenteile, rückwände, abdeckplatten und Einlegeböden

verwenden wir, je nach ausführung, kirschbaum,

nussbaum, linde, usw. unsere wurzelfurniere stammen

von nussbaum, Myrte, Esche, olivenbaum, kastanie,

ulme, ahorn und pappel.

Intarsien

die Einzigartigkeit unserer Möbel ist nicht zuletzt auf

die intarsienflächen aus edlen hölzern, einen ihrer

wesentlichen gestaltungsmerkmale, zurückzuführen.

intarsien und fileteinlagen werden in handarbeit aus

ahorn, kirschbaum, palisander, paduc, nussbaum,

rosenholz sowie eingefärbten furnieren gefertigt.

Sägefurniere

die furnierten teile der venezianischen kommoden

und sekretäre werden nach alter tradition mit 4 mm

sägefurnier handfurniert und handgestiftet. Eine technik,

die nur noch von wenigen kunsthandwerkern beherrscht

wird. sie wird nach alter tradition von generation zu

generation weitervererbt.

die hölzer werden schon vor der verarbeitung dem klima

angepasst, dem sie an ihrer späteren verwendungsstelle

wahrscheinlich ausgesetzt sind. wenn trotzdem kleine

oberflächenveränderungen und risse oder Markierungen

auftreten, so ist das ein Echtheitsbeweis für die verwendung

von natürlichen Materialien und deren warentypische

Eigenheiten.

Zierbeschläge

großen wert legen wir auf die sorgfältige abstimmung

der zierbeschläge aus antikisiertem,

brüniertem Messing.

Legni e lavorazione

i mobili della European Collection vengono realizzati in

pregiati legni. Cappello, cornici, zoccolo, profili e telaio

vengono realizzati in legno massello. per queste parti

utilizziamo solitamente ciliegio, red alder, noce, faggio,

abete, ecc.

per le parti impiallacciate come frontali, fianchi, schienali,

ripiani e piani, impieghiamo, a seconda dei modelli,

tranciati di ciliegio, noce, tiglio, ecc.

le radiche più usate sono noce, mirto, frassino, olivo,

castagno, olmo, acero e pioppo.

Intarsi

l’unicità dei nostri mobili è dovuta, non da ultima, alle

superfici intarsiate realizzate con legni nobili. intarsi e filetti

sono eseguiti artigianalmente in acero, ciliegio, palissandro,

paduc, noce, bois de rose e in varie impiallacciature tinte.

Impiallacciature artigianali con lastre

le impiallacciature dei comò e secrétaire veneziani sono

eseguite a mano con lastre di 4 mm. un‘arte che ormai

pochissimi maestri artigiani conoscono e tramandano,

come vuole la tradizione, da generazione in generazione.

durante la lavorazione, i mobili vengono realizzati

considerando il clima del luogo di destinazione nel quale

i modelli verranno esposti. delicate differenze di tonalità

nelle venature del legno, piccole crepe e assestamenti del

massello sono da considerare come un comportamento

normale, dato che vengono lavorati artigianalmente legni

naturali. il che permette di avere pezzi unici e irripetibili.

Ferramenta ornamentale

per sottolineare il carattere proprio di ogni singolo

modello, la scelta della giusta ferramenta ornamentale è

determinante; i mobili vengono impreziositi con particolari

in ottone brunito ed anticato.

Woods and Workmanship

the furniture of the European Collection is all made from

the finest woods. Cornices, frames, bases, and mouldings

are made from solid wood. among the types of woods we

use for these are cherry, red alder, walnut, beech, spruce,

and others. for the veneered sections, such as fronts, side

sections, back walls, panels, and shelves, we use cherry,

walnut, linden, and others, depending upon the model.

we craft root veneers from walnut, myrtle, ash, olive

wood, chestnut, elm, maple, and poplar.

Inlays

the beauty of our furniture is not least the result of the

inlayed surfaces made from fine hardwoods, one of its

essential features. inlays and filets are pure handicraft,

carried out with maple, cherry, jacaranda, paduc, walnut,

and rosewood, as well as with dyed veneers.

Saw-cut Veneers

the veneered sections of the venetian chests of drawers

and secretaries are veneered by hand with 4 mm (0.157

inch) thick saw-cut veneer in accordance with the ancient

tradition and then pegged by hand. this is a technique

that has been mastered by only a few artisans. it has been

handed down from generation to generation according to

the old tradition.

Even before being worked, the woods are adapted to the

climate to which they will probably be exposed in the area

of their later use. nevertheless, if minor fissures or marks

appear, this is proof of the authenticity of the use of

natural materials and their typical properties.

Decorative Fittings

we attach great importance to the careful coordination

of the decorative fittings made from antiqued, burnished

brass.

le finiture antichizzate vengono realizzate secondo

esclusive tecniche artigianali. su ogni singolo mobile

vengono applicati a mano le tarlature ed il rovinio,

segni tipici di alto artigianato che conferiscono al mobile

l‘aspetto di un pezzo con una lunga storia alle spalle. la

brillantezza tipica delle finiture selva si ottiene grazie a

numerosi passaggi di lavoro manuale.

i nostri mobili vengono prodotti artigianalmente. di

conseguenza è prevedibile un periodo di consegna

un po‘ più lungo (vi preghiamo di interpellarci per

conoscere le date esatte).

the antiqued finishes are produced using extravagant,

handcrafted techniques. the tiny worm holes and signs

of use are individually applied to each piece of furniture

in a masterful manner. they give the impression that this

furniture already has a long history behind it. the finish

is buffed and cleaned in several production steps before

the corresponding lacquer finish is applied by hand.

because of the lavish handmade production of this

furniture, delivery times that are longer than with other

selva programs must be taken into account (please

inquire as to the delivery dates)!
