Deshalb sind alleuvex Sportbrillen mit einem UV-Filter ausgestattet, der die schädlichenStrahlen mit 100%iger Sicherheit abschirmt. Ein Highlight ist die uvexsupravision® Scheibe aus makrolon®, dem Hightech-Material aus demHause Bayer. Aus diesem Anspruch entstand auch der heutige Firmen-name (uv-ex = ultraviolet excluded). uvex „protecting people“.

Der UV-Schutz ist unabhängig von der Scheibenfarbe. UnterschiedlicheTönungen haben sich bei bestimmten Licht- und Wetterverhältnissenbewährt. Bei grellem Sonnenlicht lindern dunkle Scheiben Ermüdungs-erscheinungen der Augen und verlängern so die Konzentrationsfähigkeit.Orange und gelbe Scheiben sorgen bei diffusen Lichtverhältnissen wieRegen, Nebel oder Schneefall für bessere Kontraste. Das Geheimnis derKontrastverstärkung liegt vor allem im Reduzieren und Herausfiltern derBlau-Anteile des Lichts. Alle uvex Sportbrillen verfügen über diesenBlaufilter – in exakt der richtigen Dosis. Denn nur die fein abgestimmteMischung der einzelnen Filter und Tönungen sorgt für eine optimaleKontrastverstärkung, ohne dass das periphere Sehen beeinträchtigt wird.Zusätzlich sind alle uvex litemirror Modelle mit leicht verspiegeltenGläsern und Infrarot-Schutz ausgestattet. Without a clear, undisturbed view any kind of outdoor sport is getting anon-calculable risk. For this reason good sportsglasses should be part ofthe equipment for skiing, cycling, inline skating or hiking.Already in the 15th century coloured lenses had been used to protectpeople against glaring sun radiation. Not before the 19th century it wasrecognized, that UV radiation is harming the human eye and even canlead to blindness. Only high-grade sportsglasses with special coatedlenses are providing the best protection! All uvex sportsglasses have aspecial UV filter, which excludes the harmful radiation 100%. Highlightis the uvex supravision® lens made of makrolon® high-tech materialfrom Bayer. This is also the origin of the company name uvex (uv-ex =ultraviolet excluded).

The UV protection does not depend on the lens’ colour. For different lightand weather conditions different lens colours are necessary. At glaringsunlight dark lenses are protecting the eyes against fatigue and aresupporting the concentration ability. Orange and yellow lenses are givinga better contrast at diffuse light conditions like rain, fog and snowfall.The secret of contrast reinforcement is the reduction and filtering of theblue light. All uvex sportsglasses have such a blue filter – in the exactdose. Only the fine adjusted mixture of the different filters and coloursprovide the best contrast reinforcement without influencing theperipheral view. Additionally, all uvex lite mirror models have lenses witha light mirror and infrared protection. The result: excellent view, bestprotection and perfect fun.
